I really like how the Rittenhouse RCM1 looks. It's very simple is an austere, almost furturistic sort of way (remember the styling is from early 1960) I think it's definatley some that George Jetson would have - Chris

I think the R M C on the Talk Listen selector is : R - Radio (sends radio signal to the station that you have selected) M - is for Monitor (Listens to to stations that are selected) not having to keep the control depressed by your hand C - Not sure but may mean "Call" or "Continuous" for talking to the station selected, again so you wouldn't have to keep your hand depressed on talk on the control.

    Now that's a radio, i like it :-D
I saw a single transistor that could of been germanium in a metal can.
    But could be silicon .
I saw the intermediate frequency transformers.
    A Real metal tuning capacitor :-D 250pf ?
Cleaned and touched up, it would be a really nice bench radio, and it would look nice :-D
Sorry i havn't seen you recently, I'm on many tablets for depression Angiety and blood thining.
I never expected i would have problems at 57, never mind.
I still enjoy tea, i used to always have a mug of tea and sip it while repairing electronics.
    Are you a coffee man?.
    Sorry i waffle too much.

Hi zx8401ztv: I have missed your comments, their always interesting. I'll be looking into the RCM1 whe I have more time. I'm interested to hear what it sounds like. I limit myself to 2 cups of coffee in the morning.
I hope you feel better - Chris

Hi jaymes1: I think that would be called a museum - NuTone used othave something like that in the "basement" of the Madison & Red Banks Road factory - Chris

Hi jyames1: Wow, very interesting - I don't know and I would not have ever thought that Rittenhouse would make Chimes for cars - Does it ring "ding-dong" over and over until you buckle up?? - Chris

And they were nice enough to stick on the schematics!

Hi sgath92: Yes, very old school to have a schematic glued to the product - And it's even better with the internal wiring diagram, over-the-top for usefullness - Chris

I don't see that a lot, going from memory I have a Silvertone w/ a wire recorder that has the schematic pasted on the inside of the cabinet and the no-name Chicago rebadged sets of the 30s had it on the bottom of the cabinet where it would always be ripped apart or missing by today. Btw I forget the brand but someone makes a handheld portable scanner (looks like a small flourescent tube with wheels on the ends to auto move it) that allows you to scan labels on flat surfaces in-place, though now most newer smart phones have cameras that will auto detect documents and scan them by photograph.

What cables would go on the 2003 speaker-to-speaker. Is it iwa-3 ? Or is that just the 3003

It's the difference in the way the insulation was color coded - There's no difference in actual use - Chris@@locus-801

@@northsideservicecompany3567 why when I go to the terminal board on the back of the 2003 there is cut orange blue red white green wires screwed in? I bought it off eBay btw for only 30$ and it works great just no intercom function. Are those wires supposed to be there or iw3 wires?

@@locus-801 It sounds like the previous owner cut the wiring that was used when the system was installed - Chris
