Writing off the film entirely because of Ai is annoying as fuck to me
Be annoyed, your annoyance doesn't annoy me at all.
I love this film. I love it.
I honestly couldn’t care less if a film uses AI. If the movie is good and isn’t chastising the Audience/isn’t woke then that’s all that matters to me.
Of course to the spectator doesn't matter if it's made by AI, or slaves, or robots, or aliens, the spectator only cares about the output, the problem is about losing jobs and diluting the value of a movie even more
@@entertainmentyoutube3606 lmao the value of a movie went down when they started all this DEI and activism nonsense, long before AI was an “issue”. And the garbage showrunners promoting this stuff need to get canned.
So deep. AI has you beaten already.
@@entertainmentyoutube3606 you can't argue with someone who has no critical thinking skills...just give him a cookie and point at the squirrel.
Some think A.I. "is" the devil.
Don't I know it
It’s not as crazy an idea as you may think. AI has all the qualities as the devil, right down to to its complete inability to ‘create’ anything new itself
When is Chris coming back?
When hes ready.. jeez. Its not like he had a stroke or anything.. the fuck is wrong with people
Mr Gore is Film Threat. Yes, I do disagree with some of his takes, but I would never wish him ill. His absence is deafening.
With the crap coming out today, I'm willing to bet Ai could do a better job.
So glad Alan mentioned Escape from Tomorrow. Not a great film to watch but great from a standpoint of watching someone do something new and exciting. Exactly what I think of in the scope of the AI debate.
The real problem with using AI versions of actors is that you are just going to get their shtick. I'm sure Alan and Paul know what I mean, but shtick is when a performer is doing that thing they always do. It's the mannerisms and delivery of an actor that someone on SNL is going to jump on when they impersonate them. AI is essentially going to be doing the same thing. It's not going to give you an authentic Bogart performance. It's going to give you a Bogart caricature making a cameo in a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Shtick isn't always bad. Actors subconsciously develop a shtick because audience respond well to it, but it's the moments when a performer surprises us that really hit hard, and AI isn't going to give us those.
It's not about what can be done now which is mostly a novelty, but what can be done 5 years from now or 10. There will be a future when someone will be able to produce Avatar 2 level CGI on an indie budget.
If you're going to use it, a film about the realm of demons is the place to do it for sure.
Its an indie film, obviously their budget is tight. Is there a line? Yes. Do we know where that line should be drawn? No, but we certainly know it shouldnt be drawn at Indie film still shots. So, Go for it.
Discussing Films is definitely a lightweight bunch of non-writers.
I make music using the Suno AI and then can make music videos from that using the Noisee AI
The problem with comedy movies is that no one is going to pay 30 dollars to see a comedy in a movie theatre. They will wait for streaming.
I know 99% of the time when AI is being used and I hate it. It completely devalues a movie or graphic when I see it.
I love these broad generalizations that some "JOURNALISTS" throw around, "sour audience"? REALLY, I don't think I personally would have known "AI GENERATED ART" was used in the film, and of the social media groups I belong to, we love using AI to generate memes, so I know from that sample set, they wouldn't either. Now if the production was 51% or MORE AI, then maybe you'd have a point.
The witch-hunt isn't funny anymore!
I hope everyone that can't handle it just leaves quietly and never watches new movies again, considering every digital tool will soon contain AI in some form or another.
Yes it's a massive problem. It's the death of creativity.
well, IMO the AI was used like; someone found an old tape of the broadcast and wanted to polish it up to make it look like new, enter Topaz Video Enhance AI, but to an annoying degree, lol. It added to the spoof/campiness for me. And I'm a video editor who hates that upscaled look, lately.
What kind of geniuses try to boycott an independent film?
People concerned about the direction the world is taking. Being intellectually vacant isn't a good look. The word independent means jack to me.
@@denroy3 ok genius 👏
Here is another way to see it. That indie film maker using AI would have not had money to hire anyone anyways. This will just give them more quality
Honestly it was good use of AI, and it kinda subtly adds to the uncanny valley feel of the film
Before I watch the video yes it is a big deal. AI art is to be hated. It is so much theft on multiple levels
AI this AI that: It's just a gimmick for corporate welfare. AI is just a computer tool, just like desktop publishing or video editing tools.
Here's the thing.........
No one wants AI to replace our Steven Spielberg's, Robert DeNiro's, John Williams's, Wes Anderson's et al.
It won't.
No one wants the out of nowhere sleeper, that never gets a repeat being replaced by AI.
It won't.
Almost everyone is sick of, for instance, the dizzy cookie cutter sequel machine. AI could replace this, or better yet help kill it.
It could.
We could, with actor or estate permission "help" get more Star Trek TOS. Star Wars sequels that make sense, recreate lost episodes, complete shelved projects. Finish off and tie up cliffhangered classics. Help rewrite and tie off unsatisfactory endings.
It could.
AI can be an issue, if allowed to be one. If AI ever produces Kubrick level media, wow. Okay, now there's a conversation.
If it is helping true creators and replacing mediocrity, let it, don't care. No one should be watching either way.
The great get's made because something must be.
The good gets made because sometimes we miss the mark.
The good enough gets made because enough people wanted the paycheck.
The bad gets made because the "right" people wanted the tax break.
The mediocre gets made because too many people aren't discerning enough.
If any of the above aren't widely true. If twidiocy, AI, foolishness or anything else are blurring those lines...... then allowing it to happen is the actual issue.
Lol, if you condone it for "Independents" then you have no ground to stand on if Sony does it.
8:54 you sound like a riot. Some much so you should be arrested for murdering comedy.
We're an entirely AI channel now, we have original songs and lip sync animated videos but nobody knows about us at all yet.
nice try Skynet
@@bigsnacks913 Wow Happiness Girls are Skynet! SInce that's one of my channels, I must be even larger than Skynet. You're so smart.
@@bigsnacks913 I think our last video has 12 views, so clearly we are an international well-funded conspiracy.💗
@@happinessgirlsAI hey gotta start somewhere Jeff Bezos was built in a garage
@@bigsnacks913 LOL LOL LOL Well, we look forward to world domination, in that case.
They could have easily hired human artists. The genies out of the bottle now and producers are already using it, Netflix has already been accused of using ai imagery in a true crime story. In any way to save costs, producers will use it anyway. Its gonna happen regardless, but I question how independent filmmakers treat others who do use AI in post. Time will tell.
Beware those that rub the lamp and know nothing about the genie within, or those that wish upon a star not knowing its character or spirit.
Ai is a trojan horse. Science fiction does not just warn against it, across the board - but science fiction was practically invented TO warn against it.
They are playing Russian Roulette, but the barrel is pointed at ALL our heads.
To say it is inevitable is simply giving up.
Some things are the straw that breaks the back.
There are so many legit tools that are available. This genie of ai is a malevolent force by its basic nature. And technology already offers tools that do not rob from the artist.
This is even MORE true of indie artists. Ai makes you a “same as” instead of a compelling individual or talent. Get creative.
Any genie can be denied ita control over you.
Chato is an idiot. I work in the same building as an audio studio on the East Coast. They patch into Hollywood all the time to dub people in when they are here not there. He thinks with all the technology available you need ai to dub an actors voice at distance???? Dumbest thing ever.
Ai is the opposite of authenticity.
It is the opposite of creativity.
It is the opposite of ingenuity.
It is the opposite or ethical.
It is the opposite of humanity.
Thats the genie. It being out of the bottle is not whats important. Its acceptance and use is what matters.
I would say: “Wish at your own risk,” but this genie puts us ALL at risk.
Its an indie film, its not like they can just "hire artists."
@@xcosmiccrunchx There are TONS of options - and indie films have resources.
It doesnt make turning to ai acceptable anyway.
Its unethical because of what ai is and does… not cause they do or do-not have money.
Indie filmmakers are supposed to be creative, resourceful and inventive. Ai is a cop out. And unethical, regardless.
Stop making excuses.
@ithurtsbecauseitstrue1922 you are on the money about there being tools for everything if you look hard enough. My use of ai is just making goofy pixar pictures.
Here's a question...Why do you have a show? Can't a fake you do it better? Surely you hear those fake voice commercials where big celebrities "voices" are replicated so that you think it might be Rogan or Trump pushing a product.
This mediocre movie had more bots raving about it for two months before release. I think this is just more fake controversy for hype.
