If you ever come to this part of Wyoming we would love to meet you at this location. There are a few spots where your rig will easily fit right on a beach. In the summer of course otherwise there will be 5 feet of snow and it will be 5 degrees. 😂
So much to love about this! That close-up video of the beach looked like a miniature Oregon coast, with sea stacks and waves! And at those moments as the storm rolled in, the entire scene in its totality was ethereal. I can see why you would describe it as being like heaven there!

I'm thinking I'll have to travel back to Western Wyoming sometime in the future. It was just beautiful there. I wish I would have had more time to explore.
Hi guys. Life has gotten pretty stressful for me for a variety of reasons and I’ve fallen behind on many things including your channel. I lost a lovely amazing friend yesterday to a car accident. I’m away from home and on my own getting repairs done to van including getting a heater installed. I needed something to cheer me up and I knew immediately your channel would do it. Love the picture drawn of Roodle. What an incredible spot once again you found and great drone footage and videography of the scenery. I’m going to catch up on what I’ve missed. I want to tell you how grateful I am for your channel. You two keep it real and are so upbeat and generous in sharing your lives. I appreciate all the hard work you put into creating content for your channel. You’re so inspiring to me and I’m sure others. I get to travel vicariously through your channel until I’m able to on my own. Happy and safe travels always. 🚐👩🏻🤝👨🏼🐶♥️
Awww thank you so much! We appreciate all your kind words and encouragement! I don’t think you realize just how much it means to us! I am so sorry about the loss of your friend! Sending great big virtual hugs!!!
Wow! What an amazing paradise you discovered! We are in the planning phase (Ram Promaster or Ford Transit?) And we are stealing some of your build ideas! Have fun! We are subscribed! 🥰
Thank you for subscribing! We have been on the road now for two years and have a lot of experience to share. We love to be helpful so if you have questions please ask! We can even set up a phone call or zoom chat if it's too much to text. Now if you end up getting the all-wheel-drive ford transit I may be a bit jealous.
that structure looks like an old boat house, my uncle had one at the edge of his lake, and they would park boats inside to keep from getting water in them from rain storms and could pull them onto log rails out of the water in winter so the ice wouldn't damage the hull. Not sure if this is what it is, but sure looks like one to me.
We love this location! If you get a chance go next summer while the rest of the country is smokey and hot. It really does feel like paradise...without all the people. 😀
Thank you! We are currently down to one video a week while we are working the beet harvest here in Montana. We have about 2 weeks to go and we will be back on the road. 😀
Looks beautiful would definitely like the GPS Coordinates on this location. I love Wyoming one of my favorite states. Thank you and keep the videos coming and most of all stay safe and healthy.
Thank you Mark! Carrie list the coordinates for every video in the description. It's the little arrow just to the bottom right of the video. Just press on that arrow and you will see it. Thank you for watching and commenting. 😀
Boondocked in that area for about a week. Watched the solar eclipse. Did an amazing 3 day hike, in the wind river range. Found a canoe someone had stolen I guess and hidden up a scree slope under some bushes at an alpine lake??and used it to catch some nice trout. They used forked tree limbs and nailed flattened tin cans to them to make paddles. Had an amazing time, and I will come back some day! Hopefully this summer. It was really crowded though, because of the eclipse and it was in the path of totality. The rangers said they had never seen it that crowded before.
Nice finding a canoe and catching fish! We also did the Cirque Of The Towers hike while we were there. It was awesome! Like you said the trailhead was the most crowded we had ever seen. The solar eclipse must have been amazing!
I just watched another van couple (Kara and Nate) have pros put their heater in under the passenger seat as well. They are in Colorado and she LOVED it after she used it the 1st night... LOL
Hi! that is beautiful! You said there is ample amounts of water as long as you have a filter... are you filtering the lake water thru your Berkey? We love ours, but have not done that yet. 😬 thanks!
Yes we are filtering lake and stream water! It's been great to have the flexibility to stay longer. If the water looks muddy we will skip it as that will shorten the berkey filters life much faster.
The beet harvest is going well. It's actually been too warm and we are getting paid days off. Can't beet that. 😂Maybe a week or two to go and we will be on the road again...can't wait.
Wyoming is incredible and seems to be under the radar as far as free camping goes. This place made me like the month of August again. Usually I don't feel good all month long due to the heat. 😜
Another nice video. I always enjoy the scenes you capture. The lightening shot was cool. Also, you mentioned adding a heater to your van in this video. I plan to be traveling and working on the road from January to June in my van Promaster. The winter is my concern because I have external water tank. Any suggestions to spend the winter to avoid water tank from freezing? Thanks again for your wonderful video.

Yes, the Southwest is where I heard to hang out. Living in So Cal, these places are not too far from me. I actually stayed at Quarztsite last January for my RV meetup event. It wasn't too cold. Perhaps, I'll see you both the upcoming winter year there. I'll also consider the route planning service you provide. At this point, looking to do a Western U.S. National Parks tour January to June. I have 21 sites so far I like to travel and work from. Thanks again!
+stickybee2 very cool! We would love to meet you in the Southwest! We are going to stay north for as long as we can. We are looking forward to playing in the snow a bit! We just did route planning for a bucket list National park tour of capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Grand Canyon for a patron.... he had the BEST TIME! We applied for the National Park job from on michelob Beer where they pay us $50,000 to tour and photograph National Parks for 6 months..... my (Carrie) DREAM job!!
That building looks like some sort of boat house because of the opening towards the water. If the lake level has risen, then I would just say it was a primitive cabin with a great view. Have you two ever considered going somewhere and do gold panning in a stream or river? It would be fun because you could stay in a spot and pan for a few days/week. Fun and profitable. Just thinking out loud, it would be a fun adVanture. Another great video. Can't wait to have my van done. Issues now with Dometic Fridges- so many bad reviews on the new models. Not sure what I'll do so just waiting for the issues to work themselves out. Thanks for sharing such a great video.
Gold panning and staying on a mining claim is something we have talked about a lot! We think as free camping gets harder to find this is something we will consider. I use to hunt for gold with a metal detector and did very well. This would be great fun to do and make videos of. 😀😀😀 Sorry to hear about the new Dometic refrigerator. This is definitely an important decision as this will be one of your biggest power draws. I know you will get it all worked out and find something perfect. 😀

We did a short video as we installed this Webasto heater. We have had 3 different heaters now so we have a video for each😂It got down to 3 below zero the other night.🥶
What month did you go there? I'm dry camping near Sturgis, S.D.. in July, and it's hot here!!! 2023 heat wave all across the U S.! Also was the beach area too soft of ssnd to park close to?
We were there in August. You can only park in designated areas, but it was only about 30-40 ft from the beach. The key to escaping the heat it to find high elevation destinations, preferably with water. Most people think it will be cooler if they head north, not true unless you go up in elevation. Sturgis SD is 3, 422 ft above sea level.... way to low! Willow Lake in this video is at 7,703 ft above elevation.
I've back packed the Winds 18 times. Been on the trail always 10-12 days. What's the name of the lake? I've never seen it. As far aw the winds go you ain't seen NOTHING yet. The back country is tough hiking, all over 9,00 feet.
I know you camped here last August, however, I was wondering if you could remember the name of the 🏕 camp? Or did it have a name? I am headed there after Yellowstone and so looking forward to cool weather! Thanks for all you do and for sharing your locations! 😎🚐🥾
No name for the camp but the lake is called Willow Lake. If this area is full there is Soda Lake just a few miles away that is nice too! Willow lake is awesome for swimming.....Soda Lake...not so much as there are leaches.

Hi there!!! beautiful place and video! Thank you for sharing as always! Question for you: why the residence in South Dakota? is it more convenient than Nevada? What is your take on that?
South Dakota makes it super easy to become a resident. You only need to spend one night in the state and have a recipe. They also have very cheap registration and insurance and a bonus of no state tax. We got set up in Box Elder, South Dakota with America's mailbox. The give us a home address and forward our mail /vehicle registration right to us. It took Carrie and I eight minutes to get both our new state driver's license. The short answer-Its quick, easy, and cheap. We have also heard good things about Nevada, Texas, and Florida. Please let us know if you have more questions. You know we love to be helpful. 😀
@@oneadVANtureatatime I know you are really helpful to so many people for many different reasons, you are one of the most reliable and kind youtubers I know and I am always grateful to you, nice, honest people. Maybe you could do a video on residence advantages in South Dakota and health care. Do you have to a health plan coverage? If so: does it cover you anywhere you are? I think those are always the most pressing questions of anyone wanting to get off the rat race. Thank you again for always taking time to respond!!! I hope you are having a nice afternoon in a nice place!!!
We are currently working the beet harvest in Sidney, Montana. It looks like we will be done in a week or so depending on the weather. We have thought about doing a video on South Dakota residency and we should do one 😀 As far as health care we are hoping to be able to afford some for Carrie by next year. I was in the military and just got signed up for VA health insurance recently. We just need to get this channel a little more successful. 😀

Thank you so much! Wyoming made a big impression on us and we hope to return as much as possible. 😀
I think you are right about it being a boathouse. A few others said the same. Makes good sense to pull it out before the ice.😎
What a great spot to beat the summer heat.
We were very impressed with Wyoming and can't recommend it enough for beating that summer heat. Plus the bonus of not many people around. 😀
Fishing hooks and broken glass to be expected in these places. I would not walk around barefoot. Nice video with great music. thank you for posting.
Such a beautiful place! Sick spot.
We love this location! If you get a chance go next summer while the rest of the country is smokey and hot. It really does feel like paradise...without all the people. 😀
Been a while glad to see your ok stay safe beautiful place enjoy say hi to roodle!
@@oneadVANtureatatime Thanks ( I knew that) you 2 are great actually 3 counting puppy
Lovely. Thank you
Thank you for watching Susan 😀
Sweet spot. Thanks for the video
Thank you for watching, Tim. We love these remote off the beaten path type locations. 😀
Great adventure!
I love the thunder and lightning storm.
We love watching lightning storms! That never gets old. Take good care. 😀
I liked your "Weather Report" well done !
Thank you 😂😂
That cabin looks like a great place to swing a metal detector. Great drawing of Roodle.
Just driving all the back roads would be a never ending smile.
I hope the job is going well.
👍
The beet harvest is going well. It's actually been too warm and we are getting paid days off. Can't beet that. 😂Maybe a week or two to go and we will be on the road again...can't wait.
That’s pretty special! Awesome place! 🤙
Wyoming is incredible and seems to be under the radar as far as free camping goes. This place made me like the month of August again. Usually I don't feel good all month long due to the heat. 😜
This is an awesome spot thanks for a great video as always
Glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for your kind words!
Hi stickybee2, we do have some suggestions. We will get back to you soon with some helpful information.😀
+stickybee2 I’m sure we will end up in the southwest ourselves later this winter. Here are a few areas that Dave has picked out. All of these are on BLM LAND. This is just a small portion, you could also head into Texas to padre island or Quartsite Arizona ( super crowded)

The little log house..may be a boat house ,and was also fish house for winter fishing on lake...
Boy, your camera work is spot on. Do you have a video on your build? How are you finding your camping spots?
Hi George. We have a van tour video and a couple videos on how we find these awesome boondocking locations. If you have time scroll through our videos. If not I will leave a few links for you to click on. We appreciate your kindness and for watching our videos. We enjoy being helpful and sharing our finds. 👱♂️
VAN TOUR/DIY Dodge Ram Promaster Conversion
We have made a couple changes sense we have been on the road, we added a Webasto heater that hooks up directly to the fuel tank and also we have a propane stove.
Our 5 Favorite ways to find AMAZING Boondocking spots
I hope this video helps. Let us know if you have more questions. We can even set up a phone call if that helps.
Great help! Right now we are using National Geographic road atlas but just don’t see how you are using the Delorme maps. Might be a good idea for a new video. We live near Gatlinburg Tn so if you are ever near hear we have full hookups for ya!
Happy doggo ! 💙
Roodle our dog loved that location. He can play ball all day. 🐕😀
Hey guys don't you already have a video about that heater? 🤔
Great camera work.
Omg it looks amazing 😉
Hi Natalie! Next time you pass through Wyoming in the summer try and stay a few days here. You will love it. 😀
I've back packed the Winds 18 times. Been on the trail always 10-12 days. What's the name of the lake? I've never seen it. As far aw the winds go you ain't seen NOTHING yet. The back country is tough hiking, all over 9,00 feet.
Great video.🥰
Thank you, Marina! 😀
Nice.. What's the name of this lake?
Willow Lake. If you are interested we usually put info and coordinates In the video description.
Did you say the name of the lake?
I know you camped here last August, however, I was wondering if you could remember the name of the 🏕 camp? Or did it have a name? I am headed there after Yellowstone and so looking forward to cool weather! Thanks for all you do and for sharing your locations! 😎🚐🥾
No name for the camp but the lake is called Willow Lake. If this area is full there is Soda Lake just a few miles away that is nice too! Willow lake is awesome for swimming.....Soda Lake...not so much as there are leaches.
you all went swiming on Fremont Lake? That lake is beatiful, clean and history but freaking cold. It is a Glacial Lake and very deep.
I don't think we swam at Fremont but now I want to.😂 I will check it out on the map. Thank you. We love this Pinedale location.
@@oneadVANtureatatime lol it is cold - here is my video on it - ruclips.net/video/VhRNCh6KEIM/видео.html
are your coordinates just to the general locations, not specific sites?
We usually include specific locations😃
Hey Carrie and Dave!! What is the name of this Lake and road name to get there? Thanking you in advance! Jodi K
Coordinates (42.9922, -109.9038) Willow Lake. I don’t remember the road name? I’m writing this comment in between trucks.... we are working the sugar beet harvest in Montana 😄
@@oneadVANtureatatime Hey Dave! Thank you for the name of the lake . It looked fantastic! My name is Jodi, and my husband's name is Curt, and we are planning to do the sugar beet harvest at some point in the future. I hear it's boring and cold but the money's great. LOL. I just wanted to tell you that I love the videos you put out and you guys do a fantastic job. Take care Dave and Carrie!
Thank you! We had a good time at the sugar beet harvest and hope to do it next year. It’s definitely worth checking into. 😀
@@oneadVANtureatatime Cool about the sugar beet harvest! Was it worth it financially for you guys?
you are also in Pronghorn country
That is for sure! We saw more Pronghorn in two weeks than we have seen our entire lifetime. They look very healthy in Wyoming. 😀
How do I find this lake? Is Paradise a town in Wyoming?
+Marlene Stein we just called this lake paradise but the real name is Willow Lake. It is a few miles outside of the Wyoming town of Pinedale. You can find the coordinates in our video description.
nice content guys thanks alot :)
+Scott thank you!
Hi there!!! beautiful place and video!
@@oneadVANtureatatime That makes total sense!!! Thank you and good luck with the harvest! I know it is hard work but I hope you are having fun and making good friends too! Take care and thank you again!
Why were the cows not wanted? Just curious.
Mostly because Roodle will not stop barking at them.
Nice video, sound could use some adjustments :)
WHATS THE NAME OF THE LAKE / CAMPGROUND? Geeze! No help just saying that it’s 12 miles from Pinedale. Do you know how many lakes are around Pinedale?
+maxine williams hello! Thanks for stopping by and checking out our channel! Just an FYI….. if you check out our video descriptions you will find info about that area and gps coordinates. We are one of the very few channels who provide these details.
For example this is what is written in this video description box…I just copied it to paste it here:
Coordinates (42.9922, -109.9038) Willow Lake
If this Boondocking spot had palm trees you would have thought we were at a tropical oasis!! Instead we traded those palm trees in for Aspen trees..... and it couldn’t have been more PERFECT!! In fact we love this spot SO MUCH that we spent a full two weeks at this location!
Happy Boondocking!
Hi guys. Beautiful video again. What is the name of the couple that’s camping with you. Can I follow them on RUclips or Instagram?

It's crazy how much drones have added to entertainment and you barely realize it
They really do!
that much sand at that level blows my mind
I know right? We sure didn't picture a sand beach in Wyoming. 😀
Awesome as usual!!
Thank you! 😀
WOW...that is a great spot. I live in Hawaii at this time and what I'd give to be in that location without all the people😂
I am sure Hawaii is awesome! I am like you with the crowds of people..we were happy we decided to spend our summer in Wyoming and not Colorado just for that very reason. Wyoming seems like a forgotten state. What a perfect spot to get away from the craziness. Take good care and thank you for commenting. 😀
Bella
They say that if you say moo've 3 times and they don't you can have them for dinner...... : )
Funny you mentioned that! It turned out the nearby town had the cheapest meat prices we have seen in 30 years! We took full advantage 😂
Why don’t you say where you are exactly?
We are happy to share ...... Coordinates are are always In The video description ( unless we forget) 😃 thanks for watching!
It is a boathouse
I would stay there....why come back to crazy civilization.
We will surely be returning! What an amazing location to escape to. 😀
Its 3am😳😳😳
Thank you for watching! 😀
