I have just started getting into 3d printing and have been looking at different channels and have found a few interesting ones.
One of my favorite channels and one i recommend to anyone getting into time lapses is a small channel called "Black cat 3d" they are a very new channel and have just started making time lapses of all the different things they make. The channel is super nice when responding to commens and i feel they should have more subscribers and support.

    I just watched your video.
    It's really, really great.
I've heard of this stuff, but have never actually seen it up close like this.
    I had a question watching the time-lapse.
What are all the strange shapes inside the object. I know it has something to do with filler and support...but how is it designed?
It seems to be a whole seperate design, within the actual design you are intending on producing.
    Why is it like that.
And it's different with each make.
Like the coral was smooth curvy shapes in there, and later it was a bunch of perfectly straight, triangular shapes.
What determines those interior support shapes within the object?
Do you have to design all of that as well, or does the computer somehow determine it...?
I couldn't figure that stuff out.
Thanks for these videos. They are really great. I'll start watching more of these now that I've discovered them...😊

It took me a minute. I have a 3D printer as well. This person has a camera that is programmed to take a snapshot every time the extruder finishes a layer (or 2) and returns to the left side. So with all of the snapshots put together like a sticky-notepad flipping through an animation, it appears as though the product is printing itself.
    Really cool though.

    • @honwaho76
      @honwaho76 4 года назад +1

Actually those projects spend so much time. Just because the printer head move to start position after each layer complete (get clear view to video?) and then go zero position process before start next layer. So each layer may cost extra 2~3 mins to complete.

      ... do you mean "resin"?
If you do, that's a totally different thing.
It's maybe faster and smoother, but you have to work too much on the "printed object", after is done.
So it's not only messy, but it also takes away a lot of time, anyway.

Have already tried some timelapses with octolapse but they look kind of poor. Maybe thats because it were only small prints which results in only few layers and also pictures. So i wonder if you let octolapse take multiple images per layer?
It would be awesome if you could do a video about your setup and your octolapse settings. I would also understand if you want to keep this to yourself since you are one of the few who gets this done properly. ;-)
