- First day in the Philippines and I'm heading to a PBA professional basketball game to watch a good friend of mine play basketball. It's my first time in the Philippines and I'm excited to be here. Also excited to see my friend play live in his home country. I've gotten the chance to see Gabe play in Japan when he represented the Philippines in the World Cup games but this will be my first time to see him play here.
I also try some delicious Filipino food here for the first time. I tried something very simple during halftime, but after the game, Gabe and his family took me to an awesome Filipino cuisine restaurant, and everything we had was 🔥. So good!
This is just the beginning of my Manila tour, much more to come!

Gabe is the man, the idol. The most genuine humble down to earth player in the PBA right now.
Welcome to the Philippines absolutely you might like it most specially beaches food and pilipino culture..Try to explore every beautiful island ..thanks and a warm welcoming you to our beautiful country Philippines.
Thanks! 😃 Really happy to be here!
Philippine is much more similar to Indonesia compared to India. The vibe, the people, just English is more common over there so should be easier for you.
Silog is like a Filipino fast food, it looks convenient and delicious, I like it!
The meals at Locavore are as beautiful as works of art, I believe they should be delicious!
Crossing the sea to watch old friends play basketball game, this is really a great experience, and a wonderful travel story!
Thanks for sharing a heartwarming day, well done! 👍🥰🙏
Omg the food was so good lol. Can’t wait to try more!

Silog is usually a breakfast meal. Si stands for sinangag (garlic fried rice), log for itlog, (egg). The prefixes, to for tocino-sweet cured pork, tap-short for tapa(cured beef), hot-hotdog, etc. The protein is the prefix, it could be fish, spam, etc. Tapsilog, tocilog, hotsilog, bangsilog (bangus fish).
Cool, now I know, thanks!
Welcome to the Philippines, bud. Enjoy the cities, islands, foods, culture, and people. A little research will help before eating and how the locals eat them. A few basic Tagalog language. Watching from SF CA 🇺🇲. 🫶🇵🇭
Appreciate it! I'll figure it out sooner or later. So far everything has been tasty

Mabuhay Nick
new word for me... mabuhay!
you will find some similar vocabulary there which is the same as the Indonesian language, Nick
Yeah I’ve already noticed a few similarities!
Nick udah nyerah di India 😂😂😂
Nick said, India is for you who wants Die quickly.
❤❤❤
Wag ka lang mayabang sa pinas mamahalin ka ng mga pinoy.
Ingat sa maraming mapag-abuso Filipino,
SCAMMER, thief at iba pa.
Go visit baguio city, and vigan.
❤
Silog is short for sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (sunny side up eggs)
The Filipino food look good.
And it was too!
Hey, are you Nick Kay the Aussie National basketball player?
Bruhh nick is done with india lmaooo. That was a quick series man 😂
Super quick! Yeahhh I took a lot more video but it was all pretty negative and I just wasn’t feeling it. Felt it was best just to not post it and move on to hopefully more upbeat and positive videos.
@@NickKTravel Yes i saw that India didn't make you happy after all. Not the exact place for you i guess. No problem the world is big enough.
I must admit I was so happy to see you move out of India. As a viewer, I've seen sooooo many vloggers scour the many layers, most of which just disgust me, whereas, it used to amaze. Let's see what jumps out in the PH.
Philippines series would be good nick.

hi, if you still in Manila, just rent a Car and go to Tanay, Rizal. then go to Daranak falls, if you wanted to swim and find some relaxing place for this hot weather.
SILOG means SINANGAG or Fried Rice and ITLOG or egg.
good to know! thanks
You left India already?
yesssss
Indonesian brothers waiting you for Lebaran.. " we ask for your forgiveness and wish you a blessed Eid al-Al fitr."
Apaansi, banyak nuntut
Come to Baguio city PHILIPPINES. The summer capital of the Philippines. different vibe you will experience here.
Baguio is The only cityin the philippines that American designed.
interesting, i just looked it up. Looks beautiful, you sure America designed it? lol
@@NickKTravel when Americans occupied Philippines from 1898-1945. Baguio is there GET AWAY when summer comes because of its cool climate all year and it is a city on top of the mountain so the Weather is cold all year.
@@NickKTravel check Camp John hay, Kennon road history, Halsema highway history, Burnham park history, Baguio city history ,session road history,. Other roads also are American names of engineers.
Still American govornment HAS A 5 hectare lot in camp John hay. They put up a signage that the land is Property of United States Of America and there is A sign of Do not Enter.
The PBA was much popular in the 90's where all teams have a chance of clinching the championship. Now its only 2 teams and the rest are just riff-raff.
ohhh really.. only two teams have a chance bc that's where all the talent is?
@@NickKTravel Yes.Talent is so lopsided that anyone that follows the PBA will know who's going to win so attendance has dropped and TV viewership as well.Back in the 80's-early 2000's,teams are all evenly matched and featured battles to the last minute regularly, making for a more exciting spectacle.
If security told u not allowed - not allowed . I am telling this not just about this vlog. Follow and respect rules and authorities, people of the country you are in.
I am following the rules. He said no Live video. My camera is not connected to WiFi or internet so it’s not Live, I just had to explain that to him.
Better than India 😂
why are they worried about a white dude with a camera. nobody watches pba anymore😂 the only people watching pba live are free ticket holders and gamblers 😂😂😂😂
Finally, back to south east Asia.
Filipino breakfast is the real.deal.breakfast of champions
What is Filipino breakfast! I need details lol
silog means fried rice and egg. you got the ham silog.
Pls visit and vlog BGC HIGHSTREET, EASTWOOD, MCKINLEYHILL,MALL OF ASIA, NATIONAL MUSEUM,MIND MUSEUM,MANILA OCEAN PARK,MANILA ZOO, INTRAMUROS, TAGAYTAY HIGHLANDS,ETC🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for recommendations!
Better to visit the ph islands😊
Generally, "professional" cameras aren't allowed in venues like these in the Philippines. So, don't take it personally.
