The only thing seemingly missing from this is a SIM slot so I can get mobile data and do calls+texts with it. I REALLY want to replace my aging MOQI I7s phone with something like this, rather than get a regular phone and use a controller attachment, but if it lacks the phone capabilities I'd really have no reason to get this since my GPD Win4 can do everything this can and more. Its a shame, since I was very interested in this when they first announced it, it is a beautiful device. It does make me wonder though... if this could be modified to have SIM card capabilities and use it like a phone. Some kind of hardware mod. Of course, this is if it DOESN'T have a sim slot since I'm still kinda unclear on it. ETA can you confirm if it does? of if the retail version will?

I mean it looks sleek but I can't imagine holding a flat device for more than an hour.... Looks like the Odin 2 still reigns supreme in Android handhelds
Seems way too slim for comfortable use. I'd much rather have bulkier grips, but I guess cases is required to make up for it. Besides that it looks solid. Do you know if the screen has PWM flickering? Could you see any while filming?
I'm curious to know if it is still worth picking up, considering Yuzu and Citra have gone down and it is likely to take some time for further development to occur from any of the forks?
I wish developers would put heavy work into, Xbox or ps3 emulation on android, I have a switch. This is easily the best looking android device, about to be on the market, it looks like they even have a grip coming too.
How much is it supposed to cost? Would be interesting if it is more than the Ayn Odin 2. The latter has a standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Performance issues there with switch emulation are rather software than hardware based. So if the Ayaneo costs more that more in performance is basically useless, unless someone would buy such a device for native android gaming...
I have asked over and over but no word on final pricing. Waiting on all of the release information now. If they can keep the price down I think this would be an amazing option
For me to add to the collection, I first need to see Vita emulation and how well it works with Xreal Glasses. Not sure if the 1440p resolution will bug out with the Xreal 1080p only output.
Guys help me. I still don’t understand the point of android handheld consoles. What’s the point of getting one if you can literally just get a smartphone and a backbone for literally more flexibility and features ? Also what’s the point of having over 16 gigs of ram and over 512 go of storage if most games on android barely take over 5 gigs, few exceptions like Fortnite and genshin of course, but apart from that why would you pay for something that basically has « less features than a smartphone »?
They should add sim support so people can use it as their phone..I feel like that they would sell many more units that way, especially since the price will rival current flagships like the Motorola Edge and OnePlus using snapdragon 8 chips
This would be amazing if it had a 5" screen instead of 6" actually. It would be pocketable at that point which is a huge selling point this and the Odin 2 lack.
Anyone else remember how Qualcomm lied about the G3X Gen 1 in the Razer Edge, and then when the Edge launched, all of Qualcomm's marketing materials for the chipset mysteriously disappeared from their website? Pair this handheld with some media glasses you be the coolest kid on the block.
They got the stick placement right 💫
I feel like they got it wrong for such a size of a handheld. I feel like dpad would get more use, so hading it in a more comfy spot would've been more ideal. At least to me.
Reaching over a thumb stick on a small or large device feels like a design mistake these days.
I’m going sell off a switch lite and get this handheld seem like a great upgrade.
Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast for PS2 would be a good benchmark for this device. That’s an extremely demanding game to run let alone upscaled. I’d look forward to a comparison with the Odin 2 Pro. Especially if this ends up having a similar price.
I'd be impressed if it ran Dirge of Cerberus, it's a slide show on the RP4 pro.
I've had such a great experience with Ayaneo already, I hope owners of this handheld share in my great times
Windows full ARM support on this is going to be pretty fantastic.
What’s the price was waiting entire video to find out-only then can I make a decision to purchase. Better be a great price since it can’t fully run 3D games.
THIS SHOULD BE WINDOWS HANDHELD 😭😭 Love Ayaneo this thing looks amazing. Wow!
What a time we live in where we get a new "best looking handheld on the market," every single day, brought to us by this channel. 😏
How much does this cost?
your kidney an arm and a leg lol
not yet revealed...same as performance results. i guess they are still tweaking the clock speeds etc in the firmware before allowing youtubers to reveal performance data.
This is really cool. I'd definitely grab one if the price is right
ETA i really appreciate that you used Devil May Cry for Android. Hopefully soon you can add more demanding ones 😁
AYANEO Finally hit the market with the Pocket S
Nothing to see here. It's just AyaNeo is releasing new handheld console every tuesday.
Nice! That form factor is sweet! Have you tried some pc emulation with it like winlator and such? Wonder if we're at the point where arm devices have enough power to run x86 apps and games
I heard a rumor about Ayaneo slowing down their releases to ensure quality, they will now only release 3 new devices every hour instead of 4
Hopefully this comes out at a good price, really Interested in this, since it's android, wonder also how well it could do gamepass too
I have the Odin 2 as my go to andriod device but this does look pretty cool depending on price .. nice form factor too.
I bet my brother that ETA would say “Absolutely Beautiful” in the video and i won.
Price is going to heavily influence this things success considering all the alternatives out there. So far it looks fantastic. Its gonna sell like hotcakes. Hope I can snag one.
I am all over this bro.. AMAZING
I was about to click on the checkout button for the Odin2 ... RUclips notification shows me this video.. just when I thought I had made up my mind. Thank you ETAPRIME 😅
Buy the odin
I ordered the Odin 2 a few days ago and just learned about this guy. That said, I think I still made the right choice. Odin 2 has proven to be a great system whereas that is yet to be seen for this handheld. Price will undoubtedly be more expensive as well.
@@superrey19 100% agree with you.
Odin 2 still king, it's gonna be hard for android devices to come to replace it. Especially in 6+months where drivers and emus will run much much better
I mean it looks sleek but I can't imagine holding a flat device for more than an hour.... Looks like the Odin 2 still reigns supreme in Android handhelds
It's nice. I hope other companies learn from Ayaneo. Look at the size. It looks small. 😮
Seems way too slim for comfortable use. I'd much rather have bulkier grips, but I guess cases is required to make up for it. Besides that it looks solid. Do you know if the screen has PWM flickering? Could you see any while filming?
When will it be released? It looks amazing. Hopefully, it's not too expensive for what it is...
I'm curious to know if it is still worth picking up, considering Yuzu and Citra have gone down and it is likely to take some time for further development to occur from any of the forks?
Real definition of portable gaming
Do you think, that Qualcomm will drop their own gaming device one day?
How's the battery life?
Looks clean
I wish developers would put heavy work into, Xbox or ps3 emulation on android, I have a switch. This is easily the best looking android device, about to be on the market, it looks like they even have a grip coming too.
I need to see a video with this device playing the games❤❤❤CoD ,arena breakout ,pubg and grid
The best system we will test this week! Hah, there are so many ayaneo devices that Wikipedia does not even know how many they have released.
Most Android games max out at 1080p so there will be a lot of Android games that won't take advantage of the screen resolution of this Ayaneo device
Alot of new phones are 1440p like S24 Ultra, so I'm sure android games will be optimized for this resolution
Hoping it's priced right with Anbernic, Retroid, and Odin already in this particular market
I might have to get this bad boy to pair up with my Ayaneo Air 1S 😅
This would be amazing if it had a 5" screen instead of 6" actually. It would be pocketable at that point which is a huge selling point this and the Odin 2 lack.
If It run Super Mario Odyssey in 1080p 60fps, this Will be the best portable console ever.
If developer start porting aaa game on android with controller support this handhel will sell like hot cake
Wish they would've added a sik card slot for mobile service options
Anyone else remember how Qualcomm lied about the G3X Gen 1 in the Razer Edge, and then when the Edge launched, all of Qualcomm's marketing materials for the chipset mysteriously disappeared from their website? I remember. Gotta see benchmarks on this one, don't trust Qualcomm and Ayaneo for a single second. Even if it is better than the 8 Gen 2 in the Odin 2, the software side on Android won't really benefit from the increased horsepower anyway.
I suspect this will be expensive, but it looks like it would be worth it. Just got the RP4+, but would like to have this instead!
The GPU and CPU didn't even reach 50% on genshin that just wild 💀
See I got the retroid pocket 3 plus, but this I'm definitely getting
