Remember that this Tier List is not based on how strong a unit is. A very strong unit may be placed in low tier because they aren't viable in competitive gameplay (think tournaments). These rankings would look very different if we were using the perspective of casual players.
Pretty sure the whole freezing walls and using peacekeepers thing is illegal in competitive play... Considering how it would allow a basic infantry unit to instantly destroy walls quickly is a bit unfair... Note: DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT! I'M NOT 100% SURE!
Javelins being able to shoot down even Kirov Airships in seconds with their laser lock reminds me of how Aegis Cruisers shredded them in the 2nd game. But yeah, heroes are rarely ever used often online unless it's to break a turtling stalemate (Natasha does this exceptionally well, Yuriko less so) but even in those situations I think I can count the number of times I've seen people use Tanya at all with one hand.
That's me, Natasha is easier with blowing up key targets such as buildings when needed, Spy > Tanya. If I need Anti-infantry, I just put a Spy in an IFV and call it a day, I can find Natasha already complaining about it. (You can only have one of her but you can have a mass of sniper IFVs) and they will outrange her, and outfire her
Tanya seems to be the kind of hero you need to slip into bases and blow them up or melee strike harder vehicles, via shrunken IFV or Century Bomber drop. She blows in almost any engagement.

Nah personally what I hate the most is his shrink ray. 10 second recharge for ability that essentially turn your unit into a conscript in terms of damage and armor. That's way too op and make already unviable late stage tanks into a scrap metal
@@danielsurvivor1372 Actually 7.5 second recharge and 24 secs duration of ability. That's after first HighTech Upgrade. So you can easily hold 3 units under shrink effect.

Pacifer FAV: S, being available earlier is too much of a benefit in return for its greater cost, on top of it being amphibious, able to fight if undeployed, so building these means you likely won't need Athena Cannons or Aircraft Carriers. Cryo Legionnaire: S, The Allies Cryo weapons are broken already, and this thing has an attack with an AOE cryo effect on top being amphibious, jumping, its durability, and how it shuts down enemy air units. Future Tank X-1: S, this destroys even a Hammer Tank in three shots. I have seen these monsters take on over half a dozen tier 2 tanks and win. Even if you send in Tier 3 units their absurd splash damage means they still win, even without using their Riot Beams to kill targets instantly. And that splash damage hits air units! I have seen 4 Future Tanks take on 12 Twinblades (albeit with four coptors sent in first before the rest) and they won while only taking one loss. Harbringer Gunship: SS tier. This monster can easily counter most of the units that are supposed to counter it using its chain gun, infantry are especially vulnerable. A group of 4 can destroy any building in a single volley, after they destroy a Construction Yard they make short work of all the other buildings. Their sheer firepower and durability means static air defenses won't stop them.
fun fact if you take the extra effort you can get an engineer as close as possible to the shore and deploy his medic tent which can allow you to heal the dolphins ....
CRYO COPTERS. DEAR GOD. Even AA might not save you, as if you are smart, you can park them right above a frozen unit. Since falling aircraft do splash damage... you do the math.

In early Skirmish games Vindicators are often spammed right from the get-go. And piss me right off!! The Russians have that support power where they EMP-Cluster ALL your units up if not spaced out. Then vacumn them away!! Short of taking out there MCV (Or using AIR units.) is there a way to counter this from happening?

Only downside of allies is how awkward their teching is. The limited tech radius causes all sorts of annoying problems, and the Defense Bureau is incredibly hard to find time/room for, effectively removing Tanya, the Superweapons and Spectrum Towers from their arsenal. (Not that the really need them or that they make a big difference, but still) Other than that, their units are always a joy to use and a nightmare to play against.
Yes, and the fucking bullshit is that, EA nerf all Empire upgrades on every fuckig related unit. For exp, the missile upgrade, it used to upgrade turret missile, sea wings (in beta), VX, rocket angel. Now? Oh oops, apparently Empire tech only put upgraded missile in one fucking unit VX. And then they nerf all destructive commander abilities like balloon bombs and final squadron to an ant bite. Other factions like orbital bombardment or gay ass cryo can literall drop a weak builing or remove an army. Empire doesnt have ONE ability thag can do that. Oh Robotiv Assembly? Build nanocore faster! Oh my sooo gud. And that AMAZiNG nanoswarm. 😂

vindicator is so OP, it cancels out bullfrogs and anti air infanty, you know the units that are SUPPOSE to counter it. On top of that it has a shit load of health and its payload animation is way to fast. The payload shoulnt be effective against all units. That was the whole point of RA3's design. I could forgive everything about the allies even the Javlin troops being stronger against building than yuriko, and the cryocopters being (easy mode), IF the vidicator had a serious nerf in its stats, and a change to its drop speed of bombs. It's so OP it actually makes building the century bomber a downgrade.

Allies annoy me not because of how OP they are. But because of how I'm too much of an idiot to play them to their full potential. I remember how annoying just the AI were during the Uprising challenge.

Absolutely. But this is a competitive tier list, and an adequate opponent would not let you charge up a super weapon. Tanya is strong, but no pros use her online
... I feel like every unit in B tier has better performance than A tier units in other factions. Every time I don’t know what to do in infinite isle, I build 1 dolphin and 1 hydrofoil to harass the third gold, and it almost always work.

Late comment but I was one of those people. Until I was in an early game 2 v1 situation against allies player. Should have been an easy win but man this dude had cryo copter peacekeepers micro on point. Had he had his team matr we would ha e lost for sure because we barely won that match. Came down to the wire. More impressive we were on console.
Allies has too many OP units in Uprising. Cryolegionnaires are Kirov killers and ultimate AA inside turrets. Freaking Harbinger Gunships and Pacifier Cannons.

Cryocopters special ability should be nerfed, i dont like the idea to make apocalypse tanks get crushed by guardian tanks, and other tier 3 stuff shouldt be crushed by those small tanks

The emp missile makes no sense tbh. Where would you put that in a ship that's carrying a bunch of drones? I think it would have been better if they made anti air/anti infantry drones the special ability instead
Dolphins can be healed, but it's rather awkward. You have to put an engineer at the very edge of the land and make him set up his medical tent. Part of the healing radius could spread on water, so your dolphins can heal in it. Though, setting all this up could require some time.
Keep it up with the great content! one question, to counter naval expansion using the Allies, is there any reason I'd spawn Dolphins instead of Riptides? Dolphins should be faster in water but they are longer to produce. I read somewhere they deal group damage but I'm not sure what that means I just find riptides more useful overall so I can't really understand the utility of Dolphins..
Dolphins have insane DOS and mobility. They can also deal splash damage. Overall, they’re way better at naval combat than riptides. Micro them well enough and you dominate the seas.
AndrewtheDuke true, we got nerfed more during beta tho. But once it’s officials, we still got nerfed, they nerf Soviets more because it’s the only factions stand in the way of Allies dominance esport viewing entertainment for Murrica kids.....
Also forgot to add that Javelins are also the only AA infantry units to destroy Super Reactors from a safe distance, only when using their Laser-Guided Mode.

@@xyhc-cnc saw it in a Sybert's video. A HammerTank clearly ran over some infantries (under the cover of BlkholArmor) yet they are still alive and then they killed the HammerTank. My guess is that the crushing dmg is redirected toward the AssautCruiser, which is bigger insize than the HammerT, hench it dealed 0 dmg toward the Cruiser, saving the infantries. 🤔Maybe if it the Hammer was an MCV, the AssCruiser will be 1hitko? Also what if the AssCruiser was shrunk, will the hammertank kill it instead? so many poosibilities
7:08 Weird, in Uprising it only requires Tier 3 upgrade , I guess because they added so many units which require Defence Bureau, they decided to remove that restriction on Tanya
Interesting how the RA3 meta matches real world military design so much. The most used RA3 units are the most "boring but practical" for the most part, with a few high tech exceptions.
@@xyhc-cnc I don't know. All I know is the Defense Bureau is needed for the Proton Collider, Spectrum Towers, and the Chronosphere, but not Tanya. She just needs Max Clearance (Allies' Tier 3) upgrade at the MCV or Command Hub.
I just hate how Assault Destroyer's gun is just a mounted gun that can deal good anti-armor damage. The gun is even more powerful than Guardian Tank's gun.
I hate how arbitrary it looks. They could have put anything else there, would be aesthetically the same. No synergy in design between the weapon and the chassis.
They can kill faster than the Soviet conscripts and the Imperial warriors with shotguns as well as they have riot shields which can withstand even tank fire
@@xyhc-cnc you could but under very specific circumstances. When a vacuum bomb hits the medic tent it get sick into the air, sometimes it will be bugged that causes the tent to be floating there after the strike ended resulting it able to heal flying bio unit.

OwlYaRly RUS Allies are the highest skill cap, so presumably they also have a lot of micro potential. But I think a good Soviet with Terror Drones micro the hardest

They do so much like any other air unit from the franchise that needs to return to the airfield after striking, although iirc, they start taking damage only after the airfield they return to has been destroyed

It is countered by the fact that allies can't build around their structures, only around their mvc. Soviets have the strongest defense with their tesla coils.

Many people talk about the Empire and Soviets like a best faction and Allies are "weakest". But that is not true. Because for me, and I think Also in general, the Allies will be always best. Nobody is match for the Allies. Mirage Tanks, Aircraft Carries, Cryocopters, Peacekeapers, Athena Cannons... What else the fuck do you want?
Allies require too much control in order to work and some people don't like that. I even remember the first time i used allies i treated the assault destroyer like an apoc tank. Big mistake
Allies are the "Difficult, But Awesome" faction - it takes a lot of skill to master the utilization of their subversive and fragile units, but when they have been mastered to the fullest, they become extremely hard to counter to the point that they eventually become a "Game-Breaker" faction. And don't get me started on Uprising.

They only cost 1000 tho. Super easy to replace, also could deploy in dangerous situations so you can sell them for cash back / drop down a turret with the build radius.
Without support, a group of Peacekeepers will shred Imperial Warriors. Even when they use their Katanas, all the Peacekeepers have to do is bring up shields and wait it out. Sure maybe they take some damage when both switch back over to their guns but at point blank range, Peacekeepers do such ridiculous damage on top of knocking over anyone on the receiving end for a short while, and there's a spread damage so groups of infantry will take damage for it. Also compare their damage to buildings and vehicles, and the burst damage from both. The Imperial Warriors fire a long burst but there is a noticeable pause whereas the Peacekeeper has a short pump for every shot and can actually get two to three shots for every Warrior's burst. They have slightly higher armour but the DPS from a Peacekeeper negates that and they actually win 1v1 firefights. If allowed to get closer, then the damage increases for the Peacekeeper, not the Warrior. Especially problematic when they rush on shielded Peacekeepers with their katanas. It's even more pronounced that despite nerfs by the end of life to damage on vehicles, Peacekeepers are SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than both Warriors and Conscripts at fighting vehicles in groups. It's not ideal but in a pinch, they can significantly damage or even outright destroy vehicles, especially light ones, alarmingly quickly. Not to mention, the Peacekeeper's riot shields allow them to take attacks that would kill other infantry, and survive (Yuriko's scream for example).

Allies Overpowered? I would say they are equal to Empire while Soviets got the short end of the stick. Empire has a lot of abuses at high level that make it very Easy for decent level Empire players to wipe the floor with higher level allies. Banzai Charge with a core, Wave-Force premature discharge spam behind buildings and of course tengu harassment (The viking from SC2 took direct inspiration from the tengu and transformation takes time to balance it).
Allies constantly bully Empire with fast Airfields. Empire is especially vulnerable to almost every single one of Allies' build orders (Fast Naval with Javelins, Cryo Rush, Infantry Spam into Turret Push, you name it) Doesn't like Empire's transforming units? Say hello to Apollos & Vindies

The problem is vindicators need to reload, with correct timing coupled with early inf spam to stall the ally economy you can kill the 2 harvesters before loosing the tengus and that will kill the ally player. If you master the timings/unit count; most ally players will loose. It's like a zerg rush without a choke point to strategize with.
That only works if you are playing with absolute noobs that don’t wall off their refs and power plants and airfield then bomb split on all your Tank busters.
@@xyhc-cnc Not tankbusters, only IW (Take 2 bombs). If the Allied players wastes his time splitting bombs, he will get overrun by tengus and loose 2 or 1 harvester. All the Empire player needs to do is transition to a 3rd and roll out tanks and the Allied player is dead. It's the de-facto build in high level play although some maps don't allow this. The game is balanced but vulnerable to abuses.
Ah so this is where the cancer "allies op" nonsense comes from. You speak of tournament viability yet forgot to mention that the VAST majority of tournament victories are soviet/empire players.
Tournaments are usually crazy one-sided nowadays, since most pros don't play anymore. You can watch some of Sybert's videos for more evenly matched games.

Allies weren't overpowered, pro sovs/empire learned proper counter play to allies, which is why we don't see allies winning anymore. The balance in this game is actually very good.

For exp, the missile upgrade, it used to upgrade turret missile, sea wings (in beta), VX, rocket angel.
Now? Oh oops, apparently Empire tech only put upgraded missile in one fucking unit VX.
And then they nerf all destructive commander abilities like balloon bombs and final squadron to an ant bite.
Other factions like orbital bombardment or gay ass cryo can literall drop a weak builing or remove an army.
Empire doesnt have ONE ability thag can do that.

vindicator is so OP, it cancels out bullfrogs and anti air infanty, you know the units that are SUPPOSE to counter it. On top of that it has a shit load of health and its payload animation is way to fast.
The payload shoulnt be effective against all units. That was the whole point of RA3's design. I could forgive everything about the allies even the Javlin troops being stronger against building than yuriko, and the cryocopters being (easy mode), IF the vidicator had a serious nerf in its stats, and a change to its drop speed of bombs.
It's so OP it actually makes building the century bomber a downgrade.
Nice series, helps put into perspective the very obvious fact that Allies are OP.

... I feel like every unit in B tier has better performance than A tier units in other factions. Every time I don’t know what to do in infinite isle, I build 1 dolphin and 1 hydrofoil to harass the third gold, and it almost always work.

Until I was in an early game 2 v1 situation against allies player. Should have been an easy win but man this dude had cryo copter peacekeepers micro on point. Had he had his team matr we would ha e lost for sure because we barely won that match. Came down to the wire.
More impressive we were on console.
Allies has too many OP units in Uprising. Cryolegionnaires are Kirov killers and ultimate AA inside turrets. Freaking Harbinger Gunships and Pacifier Cannons.
Oh, Harbingers easily build tons of those and a player is done.

The emp missile makes no sense tbh. Where would you put that in a ship that's carrying a bunch of drones? I think it would have been better if they made anti air/anti infantry drones the special ability instead
Dolphins can be healed, but it's rather awkward.
You have to put an engineer at the very edge of the land and make him set up his medical tent. Part of the healing radius could spread on water, so your dolphins can heal in it. Though, setting all this up could require some time.

one question, to counter naval expansion using the Allies, is there any reason I'd spawn Dolphins instead of Riptides?
Dolphins should be faster in water but they are longer to produce. I read somewhere they deal group damage but I'm not sure what that means
I just find riptides more useful overall so I can't really understand the utility of Dolphins..
Dolphins have insane DOS and mobility. They can also deal splash damage. Overall, they’re way better at naval combat than riptides. Micro them well enough and you dominate the seas.
Tanya used to be unlocked with only a Max Clearance patches ago, we'd prolly see more usage of her if she wasn't locked so high in the tech tree

Also forgot to add that Javelins are also the only AA infantry units to destroy Super Reactors from a safe distance, only when using their Laser-Guided Mode.

@@xyhc-cnc saw it in a Sybert's video. A HammerTank clearly ran over some infantries (under the cover of BlkholArmor) yet they are still alive and then they killed the HammerTank.
My guess is that the crushing dmg is redirected toward the AssautCruiser, which is bigger insize than the HammerT, hench it dealed 0 dmg toward the Cruiser, saving the infantries.
🤔Maybe if it the Hammer was an MCV, the AssCruiser will be 1hitko?
Also what if the AssCruiser was shrunk, will the hammertank kill it instead?

Interesting how the RA3 meta matches real world military design so much. The most used RA3 units are the most "boring but practical" for the most part, with a few high tech exceptions.

@@xyhc-cnc I don't know. All I know is the Defense Bureau is needed for the Proton Collider, Spectrum Towers, and the Chronosphere, but not Tanya. She just needs Max Clearance (Allies' Tier 3) upgrade at the MCV or Command Hub.

I just hate how Assault Destroyer's gun is just a mounted gun that can deal good anti-armor damage. The gun is even more powerful than Guardian Tank's gun.
I hate how arbitrary it looks. They could have put anything else there, would be aesthetically the same. No synergy in design between the weapon and the chassis.

@@xyhc-cnc you could but under very specific circumstances. When a vacuum bomb hits the medic tent it get sick into the air, sometimes it will be bugged that causes the tent to be floating there after the strike ended resulting it able to heal flying bio unit.

OwlYaRly RUS Allies are the highest skill cap, so presumably they also have a lot of micro potential. But I think a good Soviet with Terror Drones micro the hardest

They do so much like any other air unit from the franchise that needs to return to the airfield after striking, although iirc, they start taking damage only after the airfield they return to has been destroyed
not to mention that Allied also has the ability to instantly pop up a missile turret for base defense which makes Allied more broken, and missile turrets even deal decent damage to infantries too! disgusting!
It is countered by the fact that allies can't build around their structures, only around their mvc. Soviets have the strongest defense with their tesla coils.

Many people talk about the Empire and Soviets like a best faction and Allies are "weakest". But that is not true. Because for me, and I think Also in general, the Allies will be always best. Nobody is match for the Allies. Mirage Tanks, Aircraft Carries, Cryocopters, Peacekeapers, Athena Cannons... What else the fuck do you want?
Allies require too much control in order to work and some people don't like that. I even remember the first time i used allies i treated the assault destroyer like an apoc tank. Big mistake
Allies are the "Difficult, But Awesome" faction - it takes a lot of skill to master the utilization of their subversive and fragile units, but when they have been mastered to the fullest, they become extremely hard to counter to the point that they eventually become a "Game-Breaker" faction.
And don't get me started on Uprising.

naaah imperial warriors are still the best on what they do
Without support, a group of Peacekeepers will shred Imperial Warriors. Even when they use their Katanas, all the Peacekeepers have to do is bring up shields and wait it out. Sure maybe they take some damage when both switch back over to their guns but at point blank range, Peacekeepers do such ridiculous damage on top of knocking over anyone on the receiving end for a short while, and there's a spread damage so groups of infantry will take damage for it. Also compare their damage to buildings and vehicles, and the burst damage from both.
The Imperial Warriors fire a long burst but there is a noticeable pause whereas the Peacekeeper has a short pump for every shot and can actually get two to three shots for every Warrior's burst. They have slightly higher armour but the DPS from a Peacekeeper negates that and they actually win 1v1 firefights. If allowed to get closer, then the damage increases for the Peacekeeper, not the Warrior. Especially problematic when they rush on shielded Peacekeepers with their katanas.
It's even more pronounced that despite nerfs by the end of life to damage on vehicles, Peacekeepers are SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than both Warriors and Conscripts at fighting vehicles in groups. It's not ideal but in a pinch, they can significantly damage or even outright destroy vehicles, especially light ones, alarmingly quickly. Not to mention, the Peacekeeper's riot shields allow them to take attacks that would kill other infantry, and survive (Yuriko's scream for example).

I would say they are equal to Empire while Soviets got the short end of the stick.
Empire has a lot of abuses at high level that make it very Easy for decent level Empire players to wipe the floor with higher level allies. Banzai Charge with a core, Wave-Force premature discharge spam behind buildings and of course tengu harassment (The viking from SC2 took direct inspiration from the tengu and transformation takes time to balance it).
Allies constantly bully Empire with fast Airfields. Empire is especially vulnerable to almost every single one of Allies' build orders (Fast Naval with Javelins, Cryo Rush, Infantry Spam into Turret Push, you name it)
Doesn't like Empire's transforming units? Say hello to Apollos & Vindies
@@xyhc-cnc Rushes are countered by scouting. The problem is vindicators need to reload, with correct timing coupled with early inf spam to stall the ally economy you can kill the 2 harvesters before loosing the tengus and that will kill the ally player.
If you master the timings/unit count; most ally players will loose.
It's like a zerg rush without a choke point to strategize with.
That only works if you are playing with absolute noobs that don’t wall off their refs and power plants and airfield then bomb split on all your Tank busters.
@@xyhc-cnc Not tankbusters, only IW (Take 2 bombs). If the Allied players wastes his time splitting bombs, he will get overrun by tengus and loose 2 or 1 harvester. All the Empire player needs to do is transition to a 3rd and roll out tanks and the Allied player is dead. It's the de-facto build in high level play although some maps don't allow this. The game is balanced but vulnerable to abuses.

player skill matters. Those guys who win can win with any faction (if u watch their personal streams). Not playing Allies is a choice.
Tournaments are usually crazy one-sided nowadays, since most pros don't play anymore. You can watch some of Sybert's videos for more evenly matched games.

Allies weren't overpowered, pro sovs/empire learned proper counter play to allies, which is why we don't see allies winning anymore. The balance in this game is actually very good.
