- New for this hunting season, Core-Lokt® Tipped offers the same proven on-game performance as original Core-Lokt with improved accuracy and long-range potential. Core-Lokt Tipped combines truer flight, flatter trajectory and devastating terminal energy. The deadliest mushroom in the woods is now deadlier.
These look perfect. I have used Core-Lokt almost 60 years and never thought they could be improved. I can't wait to get some. Accuracy and expansion have always been unexcelled.
Then why change
@@lowhydrogen7018a1 why gas powered car we should stick to steam a👍
40yrs of hunting everything from coyote's to moose. The Core-Lokt both pistol and rifle has been all I've ever needed
Look good, just wish someone had them in inventory
I stand by the original core-lokt as one of the best close range bullets of all time. I don't do much long range hunting it's just not my thing but these look like they should be money for the guys and gals that do. I really appreciate that y'all shot the gel out to 500. Looks like the quality I've come to expect from Remington.
Great bullet. I’ve shot 130 grain corelock since the 70’s. Would like to see the 130 grain corelock tipped bullet available for reloading.
Great shot on the 300. I like that you are testing with .270 win. Great cartridge as is '06 and even the later .308. Those 3, will do pretty much what NA game hunters want to do. Of course western, 600 -1000 yard shots with ultimate LR set ups will desire cartridges that burn more powder. Great to see Remington seeking to make better ammo.
I am really looking forward to giving these a try, Im not old, just old enough to have lived and hunted and killed lots of deer before anyone knew (or cared) what the B.C. of a bullet was. So I had the fortune of firsthand experience teaching me the deer and elk were just as clueless about the BC of a bullet when it killed them. I also was fortunate enough and "naive" enough to use Remington Green box and Federal blue box ammo for years, and I killed lots of stuff with it. I still have a few Core Lokt bullets from the 90's on a shelf that were found under the hide of the opposite side of a few dead deer and elk, shot from 270's and 7mm's. These look to be a great offering for people who still plan to hunt game, and shoot at reasonable distances.
There was nothing wrong with the original Core-Lokt ammo. It never failed me in the 40 years I hunted with it.
Hoping to see a 7mm-08 version offered eventually.
Ammo is still hard to get and very expensive when you find it. Thanks Remington for manufacturing ammo for our country. Keep making as much as you can as we already know it it already sold before you even make it.
Boy i hope my local gun shop starts selling this awesome ammo , i am stoked !
Very nice! Wonder who makes these for Remington?
These rounds make long distance voting very effective, great job.
That was a sweet video 👍
Thanks Remington!! I went online
And pulled the trigger and got 3
Boxes in 180gr for my 300WM

Looks like they put a green tip in a hornady sst. Very similar profile and the same mechanical core locking system.
Hornady has already experience in manufacturing SSTs with a green tip. Look at Sellier&Bellot PTS bullet.
But they do admit on their web site that these ar SSTs.
When are we going to see them on the self they look great
A 25-06 offering would be fantastic!
These look great! Looks like they will give the SSTS a run for there money! Will they be available to handloaders?
Right now we are concentrating on getting loaded ammo out the door, but that is a future possibility.
I’ve used them over 40 years ❤️
Great Presentation!
Honestly, at this point, I just want any ammo at pre-2020 prices. My 30-06 CoreLokt boxes were $18 on sale not too long ago. They're now $39.99 everywhere in my area. 😭
That's easy. Reelect president Trump
@@fbodkin1 You're assuming elections actually work.
@@JoeMac1983 you got that right
@@fbodkin1 you want Trump ? Its time to get busy lets get all of our election audits going.
We need Trump ASAP!!!!!!!
Wish you would check them for weight retention.
I saw 30-06 is priced at 49.99 per box? I get that prices on ammo had gone up but I used to buy that for 19.99
These look like SSTs wirh a green Tip.
How is the core locked to the jacket? Is it done by a certain type of bonding process or is there a mechanical design feature?
Thanks.
Hey Remington where did your creedmoor car lot copper bullets go to can't find none nowhere ?
The old core-lokt bullets seemed to work best in magnum rounds. They needed a little boost. The tipped core-lokt should be great
Looks promising I might have to try these.
I'd like to know what is the proper twist for a 130 grain 270.
I haven't received my Remington green tip ammo for my 308 thru the mail yet. I hope this ammo shots great and patterns real good. Cause this ammo is the most expensive ammo for the money that I have ever spent.
How long will Big Grn. manufactor & ammo for my Remington AR-15 in the 30AR cal.? I got it in 2009. It's my best feral hog killer in the AR plate form with 150 gr. Core-lokt on my ranch.. Iv;e built 5.56 , 6.8 SPC., 224 valkery, 300Blk out, 300 hammer, 6mm ARC, and now a 350 Legend because I cannot find Rem. 150 gr. Core-Lokt bullets. Also brass for this caliber. Rem. said that virgin brass would available in 2010, and Iv'e never, ever seen any. What happen. I need an answer, SIR. ..1SG.,Huro, USA Ret.
We still carry Core-Lokt 30 Rem AR as loaded ammo.
I’m impressed!!!
Really nice job, Connor!
When will these be available in Louisiana??!! Loving this! Go Big Green!
They have been running in the factory for the last 60 days.
Looks great. Wonder when they will be in stock.
They are rolling out of Lonoke AR right now!
@@RemingtonAmmunition Sweet I will lookout for them. Which retailers are getting initial shipments ?
@@flyfishmerc They are being distributed everywhere.
Why don’t you do a video using the 30-06 with this bullet.
I have an old 30-06 that likes 165 gr ammunition and starting to see some on the market. If a 130 gr out of a 270 can get that type of performance, I'm hoping a 165 gr, 30-06 will have a little better performance and should be a good choice for an elk hunt..??
I look forward to seeing your products on the shelves. When will that happen?
Everyday.
Is it made for a tubular magazine for us guys that still use lever action rifles?
Not a chance with that tip.
@@Jaygorski Thank you Cap'n obvious.
Make it a boat tail and sell the bullets separately and I’m sold.
I’m right there with you on that. Until then, I’m on the hunt for tipped GK or SST
This is going to be a interesting hunting season. No ammunition in the stores anywhere.
You can get ammo online, if you are willing to pay the price.
@@robertboreman7672 not for every caliber! I’ve been lookin for .444 for over a year I’m about to trash my rifle because no ammo

Would like to try in my 270 Featherweight. When will it be available as a reloading component?
Great idea! We are always looking out for our hand loaders. We are getting as much loaded ammo out the door as we can but I will pass this up to product management.
@@RemingtonAmmunition "We are always looking out for our hand loaders". Ok, so how about some primers?
Remington needs to build a factory just for primers.....there is always a shortage it seems.
@@wingbolt6852 Vista Outdoors controls 3 of the 4 primer producers in the US. This is not a good thing.
They look great....too bad Oklahoma wont have any on the shelves for a couple of years.
Can I get some in 300prc, that'd be awesome. It already works great in my 300 win mag and 308
Feel free to message me for mailing info if y'all wanna send me a few boxes of different grains in .270 and 30.06 for testing purposes. Lol
I have been a big Hornandy Superformance with the SST bonded round(similar to the green tip) fan. Have had 1/2 MOA @ 100 yards in my .270(Savage). The 165g I shoot out of my 30.06(Winchester Model 70) have been 1 to 1.25 MOA at the same distance. The 165g Hornandys seem to have more muzzle velocity and shoot flatter than the 150s. I just got a box of green tips in 150g... Gonna do some groups and see how it performs. I'm hoping to see some good groups. Can't get 165 or 180s down here in south Texas. Would also like to try the 130g in .270. Hunting ammo available down here blows! Took 2 months to get the box of .06. I'll let ya know my results.
Would love to get some in 30/06 soon
Just got 3 boxes of the 150 gr 7mm mag delivered less than 30 minutes ago. Bought from Ammofast.
I’m surprised that Remington picked a Winchester cartridge to show off their new ammunition loading.
A 280 Rem would have been a nice pick
I'm kind of surprised that they didn't go with .30-06 when profiling this new bullet and load. That truly would have been universal legendary classic.
The ELDX trashed my last deer. Only using core-lokt for lead ammo if I can help it. We'll see what happens when I connect with the ttsx or gmx rounds I bought to try.
Ttsx my favorite.
Would these be good for a moose hunt
Now if I could just find it in .243 at Walmart, BassPro, Cabelas, etc. The tests I've seen look great, but if you can't find the ammo it doesn't matter.
Hope Remington adds .223 64 gr. to its calibers in this tipped core-lokt
Thank you for the suggestion. I will forward this to Product Management.
It would be interesting to see an unbiased test. Done by credible testers.
Half inch moa.... which is it, half inch or half moa?
Pretty bad when they are destabilizing by 500yds
I wonder if these bullets are in house design and production or a contract by some company with a lot of tipped bullet experience and controlled expansion design? Seeing is believing they say, and this .270 130 grain is strutting its stuff.
Is this basically an accutip??
I just got me some I trust corelock for 25 years never had a big game animal get away with them
Is this going to be available in 30-30 very soon, every gun and ammo shop I go to in my area says they cannot get any form of 30-30 ammo!
Yes.
@@RemingtonAmmunition Only if it has a flex tip like the Hornady FTX bullet.
How about getting us the original Core Lokts back on the shelf before pushing this mess. Can't find a 270 .130gn anywhere but can get the tipped....not interested.
Will the projectiles be available by themselves for those that reload?
They answered that if you had looked through the comments, its a future possibility but they are focusing on getting loaded rounds out the door at this point.
I liked using this amo when it was legal here in the crap state of California, unfortunately we can't use lead amo anymore.
Is it legal to target shoot with lead ammo where ur at?
@@CircleBrewery as far as I know it is just can't hunt anything with anything that has lead in it.
I think our state will be heading to non lead ammunition soon… I noticed a bullet grain weight change in this years hunting regulations that coincide with a copper weighted bullet so I’m thinking here in the next year or so
@@CircleBrewery I actually stopped using leaded bullets for big game about 20 years ago. I was extremely happy reloading Barns-X bullets, always got a one shot kill on deer and elk. Unfortunately I've stopped hunting now because everything has gotten so expensive. It's almost impossible to get drawn for tags too.
I like how hes saying theyve shot nothing but sub moa and half moa while hes putting a tape measure up to a 3 moa group lol
I shoot Nosler ballistic tips I have all my life. In several calibers. Is Remington going to make these available for us hand loaders I wonder??????
That is under consideration.
@@RemingtonAmmunition does Remington actually make these bullets? Or does Hornady like with the Accutip.
Looks like a pretty explosive bullet. Not sure I like that tip on a soft bullet like that.
Why didn't you show weight retention?
Next video...
No 260 Remingtons?
Too bad none of it is available in Oregon, along with any other of your ammunition for over 2 years
Our factory is running 24/7.
Love Core Lokts. Get them to us, and start making them in .338 Federal. I'll stop buying Fusions if you can get me .338 Federal Core Lokts.
Wonder how this ammunition would perform on elk?
This is a excellent elk round.
At 300 yards with no bone tissue. Try using bone in your in the same bullet
Will they be available?
Yes.
What are the calibers that these will be available in?
243, 6.5, 270, 280, 7mm Rem Mag, 30-06, 300 Win Mag, 308, and 300 WSM.
@@RemingtonAmmunition Will the 300 WSM be offered in 180 grain like the 300 Win Mag? Right now the website only lists the 150 grain load for the WSM. Not nearly as useful as a 180 grain load.
@@RemingtonAmmunition I own 6 of those calibers. Looking forward to trying the new "tipped" core-lockt. Also anxiously awaiting the components to make my own. I believe tipped core-lockts will out perform Nosler BTs and Hornady SSTs
Would like to see these in a 64grai. .223.
7mm-08 PLEASE!
Not so much fun if your the animal LOL . Will this be available in 3006 & 308
Yes for both!
@@RemingtonAmmunition Thank you, yay
I've had my .308 core lost lose its jacket several times over the last 40 plus yrs . At close range and med to long range , but I still recommend them . And I hope these show up on the shelf before hunting season this year but don't bet your hunt on it . Or anyone after this year , these mfg can tell you that the government hasn't got anything to do with ammo shortage , I can understand handgun ammo and maybe 556 , but hunting grade ammo still not on the shelf , any place .
🔥
Well atleast if you hire him to guide you know it wont be a far walk.
Can anyone explain how this bullet achieves more expansion at lower velocities?
.280 REM please.
I wish you would have included the weight retention of these new tipped Core Lock Bullets. Also give us a velocity they were shot at, actual chronograph numbers not what is published on the boxes. Your input would be appreciated?? The world runs on data!!!!
You can view the ballistic charts on our web site.
As easy as Remington didnt discontinued the bronze tip or premier accutip ammo and instead expand it to several oldtimers and new calibers and we will be very pleased!....but no!...You just have to be behind of others always🤷.... by the way I love Remington but don't understand
Rather than creating something new which we are not likely to see at retail in our lifetimes, how about just focusing on producing some of the old standards in enough volume to actually be available to shooters? WTF is the point of new shit when you have the stores have absolutely zero rounds of you ammo on a shelf??????????????????
We are producing ammo 24/7.

So a remmington tipped game king? Lol nice Sierra.
It’s starting to look like it’s an accutip..which was basically an sst w a green tip
I would like to load some for my Rossi single shot 243 just to see how they do. Remington could send me 25 of the bullets to load and see how they do in my 243 lolllllllll. Just 25 little 100gr bullets lolllllllllllll.
I would love to see these types of bullets in 30-06 200gr.
