Making Starter Strata Sets is the first step in your Kool Kaleidoscope Quilt. Ricky Tims has successfully guided quilters of every level through this process and the quilts always come out great. BUT you have to be patient because these are the "Ultimate Mystery Quilts". This is a free class. Ricky will help you pick your fabrics. There is no pattern needed. My question, do you consider scale of print? I have a black background fabric with orange & pink flowers that I would like to use. It's a medium scale. Can I use and should I use it in small pieces?

Could you use fat quarters and make 4-20" stratas (instead of 2- WOF stratas) out of each set? That way you would have 20 pairs, instead of 10 pairs but still use the same 5 templates?

Love this and I’ll be sewing along with you! Advice on color…. Should each strata be different shades of one color or should we try to incorporate 1 or 2 of the same fabrics in every strata. I know it’s all subjective but I don’t want it to look like a big ugly hot mess! 🤣

We all need 'tweeting' in our learning, as all public school teachers know. As adults we can compensate
