This is honestly so much more enjoyable than F1 Esports. I need more of these iRacing vids
F1 esports isn’t truly competitive. It’s competitive in the sense it’s a game but it’s not truly a drivers simulator

@@danielkristiansen2298 Lucas crashed midgame and a manual VSC was deployed ruining a quarter of the grid's race. The game gave people wrong tires and cost Longuet a win in the bag. It's just ridiculous to host esports events on a game buggy like this. Jarno rage quit because of the VSC and got a 3-place grid penalty in Silverstone but still won it btw
@@danielkristiansen2298 I mean that the game it’s self is not competitive compared to the level or status it wishes to achieve. Iracing, acc, rensport etc have offered a much higher standard. Opmeer, has shown he’s a cut above and I think those other drivers can go to these sims and be amazing. The game is a massive far cry in terms of precision and true simulation
@@gp2jmjarno retiring had nothing to do with the vsc. he started p12 and had a penalty early in the race. he retired like 7 laps after the vsc. you must really hate the game if you’re trying to use fake facts to say it’s bad

In Auto Racing, the Blue flag with the yellow diagonal stripe means that faster cars are approaching. Commonly referred to as the Courtesy Flag, this flag in real life only applies to NASCAR but is used in iRacing for any racing series.
The flag is there to tell backmarkers (slower lapped traffic or slower cars in general) to give way to faster cars. Sometimes when the backmarkers fail to adhere to the courtesy flag, they may get a drive-through penalty.
In iRacing, the flag behaves a little bit differently than in the real world. The flag in the sim is just there to tell you that there is a faster car approaching behind you. Drivers are not obligated to obey the blue flag but are obligated to hold their racing line and should take notice of it and let the faster car pass by safely and cleanly.

@@Nico19907this flag applies to more than just NASCAR they have blue flags in F1 too the wheel lights up blue if you’re lapped and need to let a car through

blue flag with yellow stripe means watch out for faster cars approaching behind. you don’t need to yield in endurance, but you do need to be aware

He is. In order for the Mercedes eSports team to be racing in the top splits in various races in iRacing they have to have high irating. James is also grinding irating for example.

@@jabrur default camera in iracing for LMP2 is like an inch to the left. He just didnt adjust it
Because in the real car the sitting position is also not aligned with the wheel. You can change it in the camera settings though.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I do find iRacing quite boring to watch. I also have never played it I will add. But it just seems like there’s never that much action in the races? A lot of following cars in the same class as you. I’m interested as to why people love the vids so much. I’m gonna stick with it and keep watching anyway! 😂
Everyone has there preferences but idk I found that multi lap battle with the green car while naviagting the slower traffic while also getting out of the way for the faster cars was very entertaining, seeing both cars taking different lines while still battling each other was crazy.
21:40 thats one of the dumbest 4xs ive seen. the fact it was so delayed and only happened because the other guy couldnt hold his car. be nice if iracing could do away with the no fault system and use logic in some way.
The reason there was a crash was cause the car behind hit the faster one when it broke to avoid hitting jarno
