    Cool video. Yes, you can have both. Of course, two different class. One to have super-super fun. And the other a fun laid back and have your lady relax on back. This is one of the 3 upright bike I want, the other two are Ducati diavel or triumph thruxton r. Very hard decision

    Dude I just puchased the Bronze Smoke Scout Bobber from Big #1 that very same day. Already broke in with first service and now at 600miles. The Vance&Hines grenades exhaust really brings out the inner beast in this bike. I definitely love the bike. Great review and I agree with you about the seat, it's really the only draw back(if you would call it a draw back because it looks damn good). I subscribed and thanks for your review man.

    • @BlackbirdSSR
      @BlackbirdSSR 6 лет назад

      I'm 6'2" 230 lbs and the Bobber fits me fine. I was also considering the Harley Forty Eight but I looked like an ape on that thing, the Indian fits me much better, not to mention, its just cooler, more modern, more powerful, etc. SUPER happy I bought this bike!

      Nice! I just got one as well and just had it in for the 500 mile. Did you happen to have any squeaky brakes for the first bit? My bike seems to be a little squeaky when I apply the brakes a little harder then typical. I told the maintenance and they just shrugged it off and said the brakes look fine

    • @BlackbirdSSR
      @BlackbirdSSR 5 лет назад

      Yep, my brakes squeaked a bit, didn't happen until I had about 350 miles on it...but now it seems to have stopped. I'm guessing they just take a bit to break in.

    Thanks for the video! Got a like from me. I appreciate the honest feedback. Have you ever ridden an FZ-07, and if so, could you compare/contrast the riding comfort? I own an FZ-07 currently, but it's a bit small for me at 6' tall and I've been looking for upgrades for a while, casually looking at the cruiser options as I'm not at all interested in supersports. When the Scout Bobber was revealed I instantly fell in love with the aesthetic of the bike. Probably the most gorgeous bike I've ever seen, well at least seen online. I plan on going to test ride one once I get some money saved up for half the MSRP as a down payment, but I'm curious what your more detailed thoughts are about the bike. Thanks again for the video!

    • @RRRob919
      @RRRob919  7 лет назад

      i have ridden an FZ-07 in a test ride (I have a video of it if you want to check it out) but the riding comfort on the bobber was better in my opinion. The seat on the bobber is smaller but much more comfortable. Both riding positions arent bad, but the seating on the bobber is a little more reclined than the FZ. On the FZ the handle bars are closer to your chest it feels like. Both comfortable, but i think the bobber is definitely a smoother ride. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it

    I'm sure the bike is great! I couldn't wait for the first Scout to come out. I was hoping the engine would be more like the 111. I just think the engine is ugly! Just my opinion, but it's a deal breaker for me.

    • @raymunchieftain4170
      @raymunchieftain4170 6 лет назад

      BuckWheat55, TS 111 has about 70 or so HP give or take and my CFN weighs about 900 loaded . The Scout has 100 HP and weighs about 565. Go figure. Everyone is welcome to their perspective on beauty. I think both the TS 111 and the Scout Engines are Masterpieces of Sculpture. Not being nasty,just my 2 cents.

    • @hooahayes
      @hooahayes 6 лет назад

      I believe the TS111 makes 98hp. You may be quoting a dyno figure at the wheels for the TS vs. crank for the Scout.

      Street Renegade I come from a sport bike background and this bike in how it turns in initially and flicks side to side amazed me. I usually don't like cruisers but this was great to ride. With that said, it scrapes pegs about as quick as I did with a 2018 Fat Bob but still much better than the 18 Street Bob.

    • @RRRob919
      @RRRob919  6 лет назад +2

      If you go down they protect your hands from getting ripped apart, plus usually hands can get sweaty and make it difficult to use the throttle and stuff so they're mainly for protection and to prevent sweaty slippery hands on the throttle

    A good informative video, well done, I enjoyed it. Two observations though;- Firstly the excitement when firing the bike up !! LOL, really,..... a modern water-cooled twin. Have you never fired up a Honda CBX1000 or maybe an air-cooled four with open pipes, or a Ducati with open pipes?? LOL. Secondly, crikey your roads are crap. Every video that I see of American roads are the same, How do you guys put up with potholes and tarmac breaking up? They must be really bad in the rain.

    • @RRRob919
      @RRRob919  6 лет назад

      haha im sorry! I never ride cruisers so no unfortunately i have never ridden a water-cooled twin or fired up a CBX1000. and yeah the roads here blow. its horrible in the rain, you cant see the pot holes. thanks for watching!

    • @dave6467
      @dave6467 6 лет назад

      LOL, yeah I was just kind of joking a bit. I do find the sound to be a bit disappointing but it's the same with most modern bikes isn't it? They all have these noise regulations to meet. I really like the rest of the bike and you could always put after market pipes on it, but it's added cost. I just thought it was quite funny to see your excitement when starting it up. Sorry, Rob, just my little joke. Keep enjoying the ride;- if you can on those roads :-/

    The whole idea behind a bobber is to lighten the scooter for ease of handling as well as the "naked" look. So how come this "bobber" weighs more than the original Scout and handles just as poorly? It needs to lose about 75 lbs. easy to do with this bike and should not increase price point a bit; matter of fact, it should lower the price a snick, but would cost a small fortune for an owner to do himself/herself. And most of these mods would make this bike handle sooooo much better. It's quick, I'll give 'em that, but if that's what you're after, less weight would make it even quicker, if that's important to you.

    History? Come on, it’s Polaris. It’s a regeneration, stolen history(stolen valor). Just as Victory was Polaris very awesome and super reliable rides. After saying that the scout bobber does look awesome. I don’t understand why it’s the classic looks that sell? But then again Dodge Challenger sweet ride, just prefer the Stangs. Polaris just scored with this country’s love of the retro style, but how long does it last 10-15yrs? Then reinvent the brand again. Cycle, study history or your doomed to repeat/fail. Lol. Respect all the two wheelers mans best invention? It reminds me of the victory highball? A bit of victory influence naturally the octane screwed a highball ??? Octane, and it’s cousin Scout made it with a Highball, let’s get the DNA results. Lol. What’s next Hardball Scout? Indian needs another model, which victory will they pull inspiration from? Good video ride smart!

    That is one FUGLY bike. It doesn't even look like a bobber; just a contrived cobbled together bunch of parts in a lame attempt to make a pretend bobber. If you gave it to me for free, I wouldn't take it. The Triumph Bobber is beautiful. This is beyond ugly.

      Bohica Ranch I agree pretend bobber. A bobber is made in someone's garage. Not an indian it's a polaris.

    Ugly frame, ugly tank, ugly pipes, a lot bullshit over a ugly looking bike, let RSD build a decent Indian, then I will sell one of my Harleys and buy a Indian.
