I look forward to every song being released, but this one hit me so much harder than I ever would have anticipated. This couldn't have been released at a better time. My depression just relapsed and I felt every word of this song because God, sometimes I really do just feel unwanted because I can never seem to be good enough for my mother and it hurts so bad. This song really portrays how I've felt with my "friends" that I used to hang out with...it almost felt like they were my friends just out of pity. Then they suddenly stopped inviting me to hang outs, I'd constantly see them posting online about their fun times without me. I'm always constantly asking myself "What did I do? What had I said?" It hurts to think about. I felt abandoned and unwanted.

This is the type of song that speaks to those times when we doubt ourselves and our worth. It's important in those moments to know that we are not alone and others do feel the same way. Sometimes that is enough to give us hope to continue the fight. Thanks for putting into words what we all feel at times, invisible.
I spent so many years fighting this cycle. PTSD and depression turned me into a shell, an empty husk of who I used to be. It wasn't until about 7 years ago when I met my (now wife) guardian angel. She saw me, she heard me, and she went so far out of her way to SHOW me I was wanted, that I was needed. Much love guys.

This was one of the biggest problems when my depression was at its worst: feeling lonely even when you're not alone.
I consider myself lucky that I didn't have to deal with bullies growing up like many do, but at the same time what could anyone say to me that I hadn't already heard from myself? But anyways, I was well liked enough by people. I had my group of friends throughout middle and high school, we hung out at breakfast and lunch, and I knew they cared about me and loved me - and still do. But imagine sitting at a table surrounded by people you love and that love you, yet still feeling like the only person sitting at the table...

I was the same. Most of my highschool days would be spent feeling like I was an imposter among them. I'd laugh and talk about small things, but when I got back home, I would feel so alone, so worthless. I would wonder why no one noticed I was sad, and thought it was because they didn't really care about me. I would cry at night and smile during the day. That lasted about 5 years, 5 long years. It's been 10 years since I started feeling better, but I still relapse sometimes, though not as hard or as long. These songs make me so nostalgic and melancholic. I strangely find comfort in that sadness.

This song is both a hurt and a comfort to me because 90% of the time I feel like just another book on a dusty shelf in the library that hasn't been opened in years.
