The most soul touching songs are sung by those who have been through that kind of hell and know people need to hear it. Emotion shines the brightest when sung by those who have felt them the deepest. Truly a wonderful life saving song that anyone with thoughts of ending the fight need to hear.
I wish this song had come out sooner. I lost another friend to suicide and this song might have helped them. But I'm not mad that it's too late, in fact, I'm happy that this song came out. The past 3 months have been one of the worst in my life. I've considered suicide so many times.. the thought of my daughter growing up without a mother is the only thing that has stopped me.

There were nights I looked down the barrel of a gun and tried drinking myself to death but I’m proud of myself that I got help from family and friends and got back into church. Citizen Soldier have done it again. This song feels VERY special though because "This is your Sign" has been said a lot here in this wonderful community. I commented on early songs when i was pretty depressed. Those songs got me out of it and i'm sure if it wasn't for those songs, this one would've pulled me out. I felt ashamed for what i commented and deleted those comments back then, i wish i wouldnt have done that, to show people they're not alone. For me, life is pretty decent now but to anyone still fighting: Keep up the good fight, you've came from so far. Dont give up, you are close to the escape. I know it! I have a friend I've known for almost 10 years now. He struggles a lot with suicidal thoughts and mental health. We're "internet friends". Never met in real life. But he's like a little brother to me. The first time we talked, voice to voice, he was having a panic attack and breaking down about his life never getting better and he kept saying he couldn't do it anymore and I called him on discord and we talked for hours. He's better now, years later, but I know he still struggles and that dying isn't something he's afraid of. So I have this song saved, ready to send to him if he ever gets that low again, because music is incredably important to him, and I'm hoping the combined message of this song and me reaching out will help if it ever comes to it. This makes me think of both albums as the meaning of this song because of how much they help deal with almost everything and I think it's amazing that this song captures the feelings of both albums from every single song but makes you feel like its an introduction to go listen to them.

I need to say right now I'm really hopeless. I actually had to got to a Day Clinic and wanted to. But when they called that they have a Free space for me, my Back decided to get a Spinal disc herniation. And now they saw they won't take me in like never, because I seem to have to many problems and I obviously don't want help. Which isn't true. Like how is that my fault? When I first found you on RUclips, I was in the darkest place of my life. Every song I have listened to has touched me on one level or another. I am in a much better place now and have finally found a support system I never thought I would have. Thank you for your genius lyrics that express what so many of us struggle to find. I've waited for so many years for someone who can understand me and then in 2020 I found you guys. Right now I´m climbing out a dark hole where I was stuck for almost my whole life (More like from childhood to last year, 13 years long). Finally I can feel and show emotions and to feel happy and alive. I can finally looking foreward and have dreams / goals for the future. But it was hell the last decade. It really felt like that nobody understood me. That I was alone, even with lovely people around me. Even now I can´t remember anything from my early years (0-9) and the years (10-23) felt like I was in Hell. Covid brought me back to a state of (my 2e big) depression period and I was mentally, physically and emotionally alone in a really small room. I was ready to leave this world. Because after so freaking many years I couldn't believe anymore that I would be ever again happy. I couldn´t cry, I didn´t feel free, I almost lost the hope that I could be saved. I thought: "I don't belong here anymore, life can go on without me. I'm not that important, my life is worthless." But then, during the last months of 2020, during the darkest days of my depression, I found an amazing song. A Song that made me cry for the first time. A song who let me feel that someone understood me. A song that broke my "fake smile mask" for the first time. It was your song: "Would Anyone Care". This song really saved my life. This song really touched my soul. This was the song I really needed. It felt like this song understood me, that there is finally someone who is there for me and the best part is: The ending of this song gave me hope, hope that I almost fully lost. This song gave me the strength to change my life. Strength to ask for one more time HELP to the right people who can help me. It's now 28-04-2022 and thanks to therapy, thanks to a new place to live, thanks to the right people around me and thanks for your music that I'm recovering and giving me the strength to climb out of the dark hole I was living in for a freaking long time. Your lyrics are the best I've ever seen. I listened to so many songs, but none of them reached my soul. But you guys did that to me, you have reached my soul and saved me. I remember the last comment I left on one of yalls songs, I was barely holding on. I know most won't take time to read this, but if you are reading this, please hear my story. A good friend of mine of 5 years who I've always wanted to be with and who always seemed to understand me just admitted she likes me back. It's funny, the song mentions a shooting star, which the night we started talking and getting serious, it all started with a wish on a star and then a prayer. All I wanted was someone to understand and now I have hope. I went to the bridge one day, feeling like I was gonna screw everything up and a song ended up playing. I didn't jump that night, but instead, sung that song with all of my soul and prayed that she would somehow hear me even though at this time we're very far apart by distance. Not even an hour later, she calls me saying "I found this song recently..." It was the one I was singing that night. She heard me. And someone else heard me too. I think I know who too... Thank you Lord.

I do not have clinical depression but I know I have depression. And your music makes me feel like I am not alone in this battle. I don't think I realized how much I needed to hear this... recently my life has been shitty, my mental health is at a horrible point, intrusive thoughts keep screaming at me, my cat isn't doing well and we can't get a vet appointment, and everything is just slowly getting worse.. I clicked on this song just to see what it was and just broke down crying. I don't remember the last time I had a chance to just sit down and actually make sure I was atleast checking up on myself. @@proudly.anotherwell.. haven't been here for awhile, but I'm doing alittle better. Still not 100%, but things are slowly getting better. I'm in therapy after struggling to get help (for some reason I have/had this irrational fear about getting help because I don't want to risk going to a psych ward...? Yeah I don't get it either but now I can kind of laugh at it XD. My therapist and friends kept saying "yeah no that's not exactly how this works"). Still trying to convince myself to at least try antidepressants to see if they will help, but I'm not exactly at that point yet but maybe sooner or later. I'm just kind of trying to take things one day at a time. If anyone else is reading this things can get better, please don't give up on yourself. I thought things could never get better, but even though things are still uncertain and I'm not fully out of it yet things have gotten better. I still have bad depression, but I'm slowly finding ways to help manage them.

The guilt of leaving my family and friends sad is what keeps me going, but now that Im 7 years into constant medical issues and 6 months in remission from cancer and I found you in the middle of chemo, it's nice hearing new music that makes me feel seen. There were nights I looked down the barrel of a gun and tried drinking myself to death but I’m proud of myself that I got help from family and friends and got back into church. I had my darkest days some months ago, when I was on the edge. No one understood what I was going through but your songs helped me holding on. I couldn't name what was going on in my head but lyrics could. Today, when I am almost at the end of this dark journey and the sun is above my head once again, I needed to hear "this is your sign". Citizen Soldier have done it again. This song feels VERY special though because "This is your Sign" has been said a lot here in this wonderful community. I commented on early songs when i was pretty depressed. Those songs got me out of it and i'm sure if it wasn't for those songs, this one would've pulled me out. I felt ashamed for what i commented and deleted those comments back then, i wish i wouldnt have done that, to show people they're not alone.
For me, life is pretty decent now but to anyone still fighting: Keep up the good fight, you've came from so far. Dont give up, you are close to the escape. I know it! I and everyone here believe in you. Tomorrow is another day, another Chance. Take it and show your problems who the real Boss is inside your Head! Take those spirits and drown em' in Gasoline! I have a friend I've known for almost 10 years now. He struggles a lot with suicidal thoughts and mental health. We're "internet friends". Never met in real life. But he's like a little brother to me. The first time we talked, voice to voice, he was having a panic attack and breaking down about his life never getting better and he kept saying he couldn't do it anymore and I called him on discord and we talked for hours. He's better now, years later, but I know he still struggles and that dying isn't something he's afraid of. So I have this song saved, ready to send to him if he ever gets that low again, because music is incredably important to him, and I'm hoping the combined message of this song and me reaching out will help if it ever comes to it. So thank you, for making music like this

I need to say right now I'm really hopeless. I actually had to got to a Day Clinic and wanted to. But when they called that they have a Free space for me, my Back decided to get a Spinal disc herniation. And now they saw they won't take me in like never, because I seem to have to many problems and I obviously don't want help. Which isn't true. Like how is that my fault? They were literally my only hope left. And now I don't know what to do. I feel so misunderstood, I feel helpless and no one in my Family understands. What I'm feeling. My mother acts she understand but she is really bad at acting. My father and sister are really the most hopeless out of all. I'm lost right now. When the thoughts come and start tearing me apart, shortly after I start listening to music, this song comes on. The line “I’m telling you, it’s no coincidence” sounds less like a coincidence every time. Your music is absolutely incredible, and I’m grateful for this weird occurrence. Right now I´m climbing out a dark hole where I was stuck for almost my whole life (More like from childhood to last year, 13 years long). Finally I can feel and show emotions and to feel happy and alive. I can finally looking foreward and have dreams / goals for the future. But it was hell the last decade. It really felt like that nobody understood me. That I was alone, even with lovely people around me. Even now I can´t remember anything from my early years (0-9) and the years (10-23) felt like I was in Hell. Covid brought me back to a state of (my 2e big) depression period and I was mentally, physically and emotionally alone in a really small room. I was ready to leave this world. Because after so freaking many years I couldn't believe anymore that I would be ever again happy. I couldn´t cry, I didn´t feel free, I almost lost the hope that I could be saved. I thought: "I don't belong here anymore, life can go on without me. I'm not that important, my life is worthless."
But then, during the last months of 2020, during the darkest days of my depression, I found an amazing song. A Song that made me cry for the first time. A song who let me feel that someone understood me. A song that broke my "fake smile mask" for the first time. It was your song: "Would Anyone Care". This song really saved my life. This song really touched my soul. This was the song I really needed. It felt like this song understood me, that there is finally someone who is there for me and the best part is: The ending of this song gave me hope, hope that I almost fully lost. This song gave me the strength to change my life. Strength to ask for one more time HELP to the right people who can help me.
It's now 28-04-2022 and thanks to therapy, thanks to a new place to live, thanks to the right people around me and thanks for your music that I'm recovering and giving me the strength to climb out of the dark hole I was living in for a freaking long time. Your lyrics are the best I've ever seen. I listened to so many songs, but none of them reached my soul. But you guys did that to me, you have reached my soul and saved me. "If you're standing on the edge and you hear this song play" is a callback for me to "Would Anyone Care". "There is a reason that you hearing this and you're not dead yet" Yes, thanks to you guys (And some other aspects, but you guys did have an amazing part for it)

I remember the last comment I left on one of yalls songs, I was barely holding on. I know most won't take time to read this, but if you are reading this, please hear my story. A good friend of mine of 5 years who I've always wanted to be with and who always seemed to understand me just admitted she likes me back. It's funny, the song mentions a shooting star, which the night we started talking and getting serious, it all started with a wish on a star and then a prayer. All I wanted was someone to understand and now I have hope. I went to the bridge one day, feeling like I was gonna screw everything up and a song ended up playing. I didn't jump that night, but instead, sung that song with all of my soul and prayed that she would somehow hear me even though at this time we're very far apart by distance. Not even an hour later, she calls me saying "I found this song recently..." It was the one I was singing that night. She heard me. And someone else heard me too. I think I know who too... Thank you Lord.

I don't think I realized how much I needed to hear this... recently my life has been shitty, my mental health is at a horrible point, intrusive thoughts keep screaming at me, my cat isn't doing well and we can't get a vet appointment, and everything is just slowly getting worse.. I clicked on this song just to see what it was and just broke down crying. I don't remember the last time I had a chance to just sit down and actually make sure I was atleast checking up on myself.

@@proudly.anotherwell.. haven't been here for awhile, but I'm doing alittle better. Still not 100%, but things are slowly getting better. I'm in therapy after struggling to get help (for some reason I have/had this irrational fear about getting help because I don't want to risk going to a psych ward...? Yeah I don't get it either but now I can kind of laugh at it XD. My therapist and friends kept saying "yeah no that's not exactly how this works"). Still trying to convince myself to at least try antidepressants to see if they will help, but I'm not exactly at that point yet but maybe sooner or later. I'm just kind of trying to take things one day at a time.
If anyone else is reading this things can get better, please don't give up on yourself. I thought things could never get better, but even though things are still uncertain and I'm not fully out of it yet things have gotten better. I still have bad depression, but I'm slowly finding ways to help manage them.
