Came back from that 1st turn is already amazing
Cool! I am trying to get into this game. Got to learn it first though.
That 1st turn...
I don't get why you said you die to Defcon in T9. Headline a card, space WWBY, then use the Ames on AR7 to discard Ortega. Am I missing something?
Oh you just answered the question in the video haha
Around 36:00 it seemed so much better to coup Thailand than something in Africa. Even if it only broke control this would force response giving up another coup (or give up Thailand). Especially if you play catch-up.
On turn 9, why did you think you were dead? Space WWBY and use Aldrich in last AR to force discard Ortega?
Ok lol you said that exact thing in the video a few minutes after I typed this lol...
@@fruitstrike Haha yep. It was a brain fade that cost me any chance of victory unfortunately! It wouldn't have been too bad a hand all things considered had I just spaced the WWBY.
For some reason in my brain Ames temporarily morphed into Five Year Plan, which obviously interacts differently with DEFCON suicide cards.
@@TheWinningAgenda I have lost so many games to defcon panic, I totally understand
Why does it say USA+2 and why were you able to put stuff in the Middle East before headline phase? I thought you could only do Western Europe.
When you play with an influence handicap, you can place the extra influence anywhere you already have influence in setup. You're not restricted to Western Europe like with the 7 additional starting influence :)
@@TheWinningAgenda Thanks, is the handicap because of the ranking difference or is the meta thinking that US needs 2 more influence for it to be balanced?
The handicap is the standard handicap in tournaments to balance the sides. It’s generally considered US+2 delivers the most balanced game.
@@TheWinningAgenda Good to know, thanks. I always thought the meta was that US had a slight advantage. But then again I've played less than a dozen games of it.
Sorry, newbie here, but why isn't North Korea counted in the Asia scoring at 1:04:37?
Shuttle Diplomacy negates it for one scoring
Why dont you save 3op card for blockade?
I think u better would have chosen Truman + special relation combo in that early HL
Or jammed France last AR with the 4op.
Why put 2 points into Malaysia on turn 1 instead of 1 there, 1 in Jordan?
What UI mod are you using that allows you to drag cards to resolve them?
It's actually just the default UI!
@@TheWinningAgenda interesting, not what's appearing for me.
Well played, an extremely bad opening.
