This is great! I am in a Medieval mood right now in my reading so these willl be welcome.
I predict a lot of woke shite.
I've a bad feeling you might be right
I had no idea that there is a new Series of Eragon coming.
Thanks for the Info. You got yourself a new subscriber.
I love these types of movies. TFS. I look forward to all of them.
nice!
I'm excited for these though I do wish they were longer than mini-series. That saying I guess it doesn't mean they dont turn into a multi series like Shogun initially.
I’m looking forward to king And conqueror! I have been reading a lot about that period😊
Me too, I've been really excited for this series for well over a year now
I can honestly say that most of these either look good or sound good for the ones still in the early stages. I’ll watch basically anything medieval related as long as it’s not a docuseries or in a language not my own. However, as soon as you said the word Disney in relation to the Eregon show, that’s enough for me to save myself from the pain of that one. All of the others.. Hell Yeah I’m in.
Hunyadi-can't wait along with Malta 1565!
William the Conqueror the great geat geat grandson of who...ROLLO
I wish they would get over this stupid fad for making everything dark and dull. Medieval times were very colourful.
Looking forward to the William the Conqueror series... I can't think of any films made about the Norman Invasion todate..... and yet it was a important part of British history. Two very good actors in the leading roles. I hope they have stuck to historical facts and not produced it to suit woke sensitivities.
Eragon, YEEHAW, I've always hoped and enjoyed the original movie, very much, again hoping this would be developed into a much series or trilogy of sorts, I hope some of the key original actors in the movie Eragon would be invited, make Cameos and such, how awesome.
They'll never make a better, grittier and more magical Robin Hood as was done in the 80s with Robin of Sherwood. Seeing an American company on the legend makes me believe this will not be a real historical telling but a DEI American view of what England is like. Still remember the turd they made with Russel Crowe.
The ages look mixed up , William was 37 and Godwinson was 44 and Edward was 61
You forgot ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’
No opinions, just stuck to the title. thank you
Harold of wessex?.....I don't think so o😢😢😢
Two points:
1. Medieval period ended around the year 1500 (in the East it ended around 1453 with the fall of Constantinople and the final collapse of the Roman Empire.) The Great Siege of Malta, therefore, is a Reniassance event (from a Western perspective, perhaps a modern one if not in the West) not a Medieval event since it happened in 1565.
2. Robin Hood is fantasy, not history. There is no evidence that there was a Robin Hood and the story did come about until the 13th or 14th centuries, but is set much earlier in the 12th century.
And an extra one for you. Eragon is a fantasy novel set in a fantasy world, therefore it isn't explicity Medieval as that would imply its based in this reality. The only Medieval part of Eragon are the stories that the author liked as a child that are authentically Medieval. Robin Hood gets a pass because the story centers around the events of 1166 in England, usually with the reign of King Richard or King John.
I am exciting about the show about King William of Normandy though, at least you have one actual Medieval show on the list.
Richard ruled from 1189 until 1199 and John was king from 1199 until 1216. I don't know where you got 1166 from mate
There is proof of a Robin Hood he's in the doomsday book.
