"Terrifyingly easy" "I will haunt your dreams." ""Hold on, let me check my notes." Chef John. I love your recipes, I love your calm presentation. But most of all I ❤️ love your humor. Yes, I recently received tragic news and for the length of this video, I laughed and forgot my grief.
Chef John always brings it with the Halloween recipes. They offer a nod to the theme without requiring overly fussy decorating, and the flavor remains first and foremost.
I first thought this said "Goat Cheesecake Brownies" and I was all for it! Oddly enough, goat cheese in cheesecake is AMAZING. There are recipes online. I need to make it instead of just remembering how awesome it was.
Hi chef! Just wanted to say thank you for your amazing videos. I started watching when I was 10-11 years old and had to cook many meals by myself as my parents were always at work. I took post-secondary culinary classes in highschool and eventually graduated at Johnson and Wales University with a double major in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts. I own a cafe and bakery now in my home town. I had many influences in my life, but this channel is definitely up there in my biggest influences. Anyway, thank you Chef!
Chef John you are the only chef I know that has an inpatient complex should have left cool completely before you tried to cut them but I'm sure those were or are very delicious thanks for sharing this recipe
I immediately went and made these after I saw this recipe! They turned out amazing! I ended up using tofu cream cheese for mine because I can't have cream cheese, that they still turned out just as good and it worked without me having to make any other replacements in the recipe
Chef, I used Eye of Newt and these turned out, how do you say, kind of aquatic? Also, a giant salamander is haunting me at night so I definitely recommend the substitution of vanilla extract.
I made them yesterday for Halloween! They can put great. I mixed the extra cheesecake stuff into the brownie batter, which worked well because it was a bit stiff. I put the cheesecake batter in a snack baggies and cut off a decent tip, and the little bit of chocolate batter into another snack baggies and cut off a teeny tip, then smoothed with a skewer. Yes, a bit fiddly, but very worth it and they tasted great!
Chef John, I believe it’s a chef’s responsibility to “take care“ of any broken or misshapen pieces especially when it comes to brownies. And by take care I mean eat.
You know Chef John, I think these really looked spooky Halloween creepy and ominous! Yet delicious looking enough for me to tempt the ghosts and snatch one from them! Ooooooh, scary and yummy. Doesn't get better than that in my book. BTW, I've been watching you since the beginning, and you never disappoint. Best regards to you and yours.
Chef John haunting my dreams sound like a great time, actually! Until you notice all the recipes he makes in your dreams are missing a pinch of cayenne
"What kind of psychopath gets handed a brownie with a ghost faced cheese cake on it, and then complains about the design? That's right! The kind that does not get invited to anymore Halloween parties." You're the best Chef John lmao
I made these yesterday and they are sooo good! I used 8x12 inch pan so I did 1.5 times the amount of all ingredients except sugar for chocolate batter but didn't increase the amount for cheese batter. Still had a bit too much cheesecake batter lol my ghosts were very plump. Also I think I might have had to do 2x instead of 1.5x as my brownies were a bit thinner than I expected.
Where or where, Chef John, did you acquire that lovely corrugated baking dish? I LOVE IT! You should send it to me! Ok...ok....if you won't send it to me, can you tell me what brand? Oh, and just to keep pace with the theme of your scary brownies....BOO!!!!
There is a clear vanilla flavor that you might want to get for when you want to make very white icing. It is a subtle difference but I can always tell when I've used brown extract as opposed to the clear.
Chef John, I love you. You are awesome. You are the Bob Ross of today and then some and then whole lot more. That's it. Carry on and take care. Best, -me PS: you have indelibly impacted my life and my daughter's. For years. If I ever happen to get the chance I will shake your hand in humble gratitude.
I like how they look. If you make it up here to Sacramento in the fall/winter time of year stop by Ettore's for a piece of carmel pecan cheesecake. They serve it every year and it's delicious.
These ghosts are so cute! I've seen a ghost before. I was 2-3 and it was like a black shadow with glowing white eyes, as if the inside of the ghost was made out of light. But the light was gentle, not harsh, and the shadow part was darker than any shadow I have ever seen. It didn't feel threatening or scary, it felt like it was looking over me.
"A little touch of white sugar." I love you, Chef. ❤✨💖💜
Gave me flashbacks to the "two shots of vodka" meme
Chef John is a man after my own heart whether he’s making brownies or a tart.
AMAZING!!
I hope you realize that your jokes never fall flat for me. I appreciate your humor and cooking tutorials.

"A post mortem if you will..."
You are a brave man to admit you eat the batter! I always make sure there's "extra batter" so I can eat it.
The formulaic comedy of Chef John videos honestly reminds me of Phineas and Ferb.
I wonder how much crossover these fandoms have.
It looks boo-tiful Chef John. 🥰
Chef John. I love your recipes, I love your calm presentation. But most of all I ❤️ love your humor. Yes, I recently received tragic news and for the length of this video, I laughed and forgot my grief.
Hey, Chef John. Not only do your Ghost Cheesecake Brownies look amazing, but this video was hilarious. You had me rolling on the floor, cracking up 😂

The only thing scary about this recipe is how fast these brownies are going to disappear! 😂 👻
Boutta eat my phone screen.
Nom nom boo!
Happ y Halloween🎃🎉❤
yum yum thanks ❤✋
@@kncvideos748 happy Halloween! 🎃
What better way to kick off Halloween than a Chef John spooky brownies video 👻 😋
Chef John you are the only chef I know that has an inpatient complex should have left cool completely before you tried to cut them but I'm sure those were or are very delicious thanks for sharing this recipe

Chef John, you are the Count Dracula of not using a spatula!
you mean count chocula 🤣💀
Chef, I used Eye of Newt and these turned out, how do you say, kind of aquatic? Also, a giant salamander is haunting me at night so I definitely recommend the substitution of vanilla extract.
If I didn't already know that Chef John is one of the best, I would suspect his Halloween creations came from someone possessed.

John you are nothing but magic to this world! I’ve never had a bad recipe from you. The look great! 👻 thank you for all you do!❤️
You did it again!
Swirled and topping with the cheese cake is the move!
Chef John, I believe it’s a chef’s responsibility to “take care“ of any broken or misshapen pieces especially when it comes to brownies. And by take care I mean eat.
Chef John Halloween recipes are one of those things you can look forward to all year
That’s incredibly creative!
This guy is one of the best on RUclips. Laughed so much! Thanks chef John!

"A little touch of white sugar" he says and empties out the cupboard 😊
These look lovely, Never thought of Cheescake Brownies so these are going to be a treat to make over the weekend
Eye of newt 😂 and I love the size of the ghost and the eyes. It reminded me of the painting "The Scream". It was most excellent!
Chef John haunting my dreams sound like a great time, actually!
Until you notice all the recipes he makes in your dreams are missing a pinch of cayenne
You get 2 prizes for that remark! 🤣🤣🤣
So cute and looks delicious! Hilarious as usual, Chef 🎃! Your ghosts definitely look better than the ghost emoji 👻!
Chef John,
I think the ghosts look terrific! Great video, as always.
Despite the brownie cheesecake being broken down in the middle, it is still a work of art!
LOVE! So cute...the batter looks almost like red velvet cake colour...yummy! Thanks Chef!
"What kind of psychopath gets handed a brownie with a ghost faced cheese cake on it, and then complains about the design? That's right! The kind that does not get invited to anymore Halloween parties."
You're the best Chef John lmao
It looks like those brownies actually trapped some souls.
Such a great recipe - from a fabulous and funny chef. Many thanks! 😄 💕

Oh, I'm so making these with my niece! 😃 These are so fun!
Mine may come out looking slightly more terrifying since I have no artistic ability with food but this is a definite for me to try at the weekend!

As a "ghost hunter" of 2 decades now, I thank you for finally helping me get some spirits I can show people....
There is a clear vanilla flavor that you might want to get for when you want to make very white icing. It is a subtle difference but I can always tell when I've used brown extract as opposed to the clear.
These are soooo cute! I think they turned out super cool!
holy shit. havent checked out this channel in like 5 years. GOOD TO SEE YOU STILL MAKING VIDEOS!!!!!
Thanks chef, I just remembered I have some brownies in the freezer that will make me feel spirited.
Your humor is what I hope to achieve one day
Thank you! Love your recipes!
These look sooo awesome! Definitely going to make these with my grandkids! Thank you!
This reminded me of Edvard Munch’ painting “The Scream”. I love it!
I've been waiting for this Halloween video all week! Did not disappoint at all. Best holiday food content of all time.
"Albino Bird Brownies" got me good :D
You make me laugh out loud every time! You are such a delight!!
Idk if this guy is a better chef or a better narrator, man has a golden voice.
You'll be happy to know that I indeed yelped in horror as the brownie cracked, Chef John.
LOVELY Chef John.
2 of the best together cheesecake and brownies wooohoooo thanks loads 😃
This s cute and simple ! thanks
Now this is creativity😎... I'm not afraid of no ghost like Ghostbusters lol...
This guy is just funny so let's appreciate him guys.
I strongly recommend this with eye of newt instead of vanilla extract, it comes out tasting waaaaaaaaay scarier.
These look AMAZING!! I cannot wait to make them!
Chef John,
I love you. You are awesome. You are the Bob Ross of today and then some and then whole lot more.
That's it. Carry on and take care.
Best,
-me
PS: you have indelibly impacted my life and my daughter's. For years. If I ever happen to get the chance I will shake your hand in humble gratitude.
This is a great recipe. Thank you Chef!
Your a riot! I love them and can’t wait to be scared!! I’ll probably play the theme from Psycho!!😂😂
These are so cute! I love them!
I like how they look. If you make it up here to Sacramento in the fall/winter time of year stop by Ettore's for a piece of carmel pecan cheesecake. They serve it every year and it's delicious.
Looks so good. Can we use 1/2 crisco & 1/2 butter? 💙😊
These ghosts are so cute! I've seen a ghost before. I was 2-3 and it was like a black shadow with glowing white eyes, as if the inside of the ghost was made out of light. I think this is the funniest food wishes video of all time
Definitely making these, have a great halloween Chef!
Not waiting for the food to cool is just part of the formula at this point.
Absolutely delicious. I would be baking this. 👻 👻
I really like your themed coments. Keeps it very interesting.
Chef John laying the puns on thick....like blood!
I love the creativity!
Since eye of newt is mustard seed, that would definitely make these brownies more trick than treat!
These are so delicious! I look forward to making them again this Halloween! 👻
Spooktacular !!! (but it really fit). Yes, these would be a great All Hallows Eve Treats!
So cute!
Thank you, I’m making it now. I didn’t want ghosts for my football(Ravens) game tonight. So I smoothed the cheesecake layer all over the top. 🤤
Is this actually chef John? Whatever the telegram thing is he’s only got 11 subscribers 🤔🤷♀️
I used the mixer for both the brownies and the cheesecake
And I let it completely cool, but still had to use a cutting board to get the parchment paper off 🤣
“Screaming for Brownies” a better description.
These are adorable.
Thank you for sharing. Your ghosts look great.
It might have broke, but it looks absolutely delicious 👍
I would intentionally remove parchment while warm. Call it a "test batch". Then have it all to myself lol.
Looks delicious :) will have to make this :)
I think the ghost face proportions are great!
Phantasmal! 👍
my brother in christ just made soul sand
Looks so good! Yummy!
Looking forward to your Albino Bird Brownies in the future 🤣
Love these. ❤️
I love Halloween and brownies. What luck!!
After all, you are the ace of your ghost face, killah.
Not that it matters for the recipe, or that anyone cares, but I believe "eye of newt" is actually just mustard seed.
"Little touch of white sugar," made me laugh way too hard!
Come for the good looking brownies, stay for the savage ghost hunter beat down
Thank you for the birthday scare... I was terrified when I saw the plasma inside leaking out. I was half convinced I need to call the ghost busters.
