I want an above the rail cover for my tacoma. I cant decide between this one or the rough country hard tri fold. This one has a light and is cheaper but i am concerned about the lack of clear installation videos for bison.
This video has more information than the Bison website. I couldn't find any info on their site about the locking mechanic. Is there any movement of the lid while you're driving or is it pretty good? Also how is the weather proofing? Do you get any water or snow in your bed? I actually love how it sits above the bed. Not a fan of the flush mount covers.
Yeah their website offers very little which is why I opted to make a video. The cover is worth every penny. It stays still and doesn’t move around if you tighten it down sufficiently. I’ve had no problem with rain or snow getting in. Just keep the supplied thick foam close to the back end when you install it near the cab bed rail.

Honestly if you are getting the same cover from Bison, this is incredibly easy to install
Is it water tight?
Do you still have this cover? If so, how has it been holding up? Rain snow etc…….
Traded the truck not so long ago and it was in perfect condition at the time. Well worth the money.

How’s the security? Does it have a deadbolt?
There is no deadbolt, it’s a latch on each side only. I’ve never personally seen any with a deadbolt.

It’s holding up perfect, no complaints and a great price.
