  • Let's talk about the SQL Developer role.
    LogikBot - Affordable, Real-World and Comprehensive - www.logikbot.com
    There are two core paths on LogikBot. One for the data analyst role and one for the machine learning engineering role.
    I've added the data analyst role recently because machine learning has become so difficult to break into. If you're new to IT, I'd highly recommend this path. You can be in a real-world data analsyt role in under a year if you really apply yourself. LogikBot is the most affordable and fastest way to attain this role. The platform even has an exam simulator for preparing for the exam.
    For the data analyst role, you take two courses then prepare for and pass exam PL-300. This exam, PL-300, is the Microsoft Certified PowerBI Data Analyst Certification.
    If you're in a shortcut role, then there's an entire path laid out for learning machine learning. The platform used by Uber and Microsoft. I worked at both companies. The courses are real-world and comprehensive. This is not the easy way. There is no easy way. This is one of the few platform that's offers a real-world approach to working in AI.

    LOL: The data Janitor is so cool....LOL, this is one of the best video deliveries I've seen in RUclips on a topic. No messing around, straight to the point, point system layout.....glad I came across this video.

    Well advanced SQL code from other developers is usually considerably harder to read & understand than modern OOP programming languages like Java or C++ (even easier by high level coding languages like Python). Not saying it is more complicated, but the readability is the issue.

    I heard you saying SQL Server is the most RDBMS used in the world while statistics shows Oracle?

    • @thedatajanitor9537
      @thedatajanitor9537  2 года назад +4

      Nope. Oracle makes more money but SQL Server sells more licenses. Therefore, more people use it. It does help that I worked at Microsoft and got to see the actual numbers.

    great efforts in this channel.
    I have only simple enquiry as a new sql learner.
    I haven't made my mind yet whether to use sql server or not.
    Is sql server the best solution available for those who want to manage and automate databases inside a medium size company.
    Is there any alternative i need to consider right from the beginning or any applications that is relevant to integrate with the database being used.
    I consider myself a machine learning enthusiast and and would mostly like to automate business solutions with the engine being used.
    Thanks for taking time to read this.. God bless you.

      As a general rule, SQL is SQL. Just focus on the core language. It will be the same regardless of vendor. SQL Server or MySQL... either is fine.

    I'd like to change career, it's been a year your video's out.
    Any chance to know where to start learn SQL for a good base and entry level position?

    • @thedatajanitor9537
      @thedatajanitor9537  Месяц назад

      There are no entry level SQL coding jobs. You'll need to start out as a data analyst or DBA and move over to a SQL dev role.

    Should make a video on how to become one :)

      Most people don't want to become SQL developers. It's hard as fucking hell. Much harder than other programming.

    Is it easier for a SQL developer to become a data engineer than a data analyst?

    • @thedatajanitor9537
      @thedatajanitor9537  Год назад +2

      It may be a little easier because a SQL Dev will have a much better command of the SQL language however; many data roles will require you to have familiarity with an interface like PowerBI and Tableau. A SQL Dev is seen as a top tier role where a data analyst is seen as an entry level role.

    • @reuelcazaubon

      @@thedatajanitor9537 Thanks for the reply. With that said would you say a SQL dev is as top tier as a data engineer or it falls between data analyst and data engineer?
      Thanks again. Much appreciated

    • @thedatajanitor9537
      @thedatajanitor9537  Год назад +4

      No. A SQL dev is equal to a data engineer or DBA. It's seen as a top role.

    Hi Mike, thank you for the video. Can we say that the job role of SQL developer and a Data Engineer overlaps a lot?
    Also in your description you have mentioned that there are two core paths on your site LogikBot. One is MLE and other is Data Analyst path. In the future I shall be taking the Data Analyst path from your website to get started, but I aspire to be a Data Engineer down the line. Would you also be adding courses related to Data Engineer in the future as well?

    • @thedatajanitor9537
      @thedatajanitor9537  2 года назад +2

      No. All a SQL Deve does is author code. Data engineers don't author that much code. They are too busy moving data around or creating users. More admin stuff. I have a GCP course for data engineers and then the data eng. cert and that's probably all I'll have. Thanks.
