Currently in my 3rd year and man I think in my program this is the hardest. We got our comps and proposal basically in the same month, crazy! 2nd year was def tough too. We can get through it tho, we got this!
I'm in my 2nd year as well and I definitely agree with that 2nd year struggle. but I have a feeling next year will be brutal with proposal and the competency exam. We'll find out soon.
I agree! Our competency exam is after the 2nd year, but then we have more professional exams after the third year too, I don't know if it gets easier or we just get more used to it lol
Usually even though someone has a masters, not all courses will transfer so they will still have to go through the 4-6 years of a phd/psyd program. They may have semesters that are lighter than others because of courses already taken but the length will usually be about the same. So two years of a masters and then 4-6 years of a doctorate.
