The Winners band was fronted by Alexandra, Jo'burg-born Lionel Petersen, and produced by Selwyn Shandel. “Wedding Day” was the title track from their 1986 album “Feel Free”, which featured the Imilonji Choral Society.
Before The Winners project, Lionel used to work with The Rockets and The Invaders in Cape Town. Upon his return to Jo'burg he joined the band Harari, and took the place of the lead vocalist Masike Mohapi.

Eish this song😭😭 Yeses! took me a while to find this jam, I search "Wedding Day" & listen to every song that comes up😂 I didn't know who the artist is. I love it so much. I heard it a while ago on Umhlobo Wenene FM, the late Loyiso Sitsheke used to play it on his weekend sports show. I always missed it when he'd back announce it & that used to frustrate me a lot.

I think this song is 1986 hit but in uganda this time we are welcoming President museven. Unfortunately other nations improved in political democracy. But in uganda we are suffering with bullets and tia gas where we are trying to talk on our rights.
