    Thank you for the review and writing demonstration, Alice. Indeed, this pen requires getting used to, and attentive effort to master. At first I was disappointed in the lack of variation while writing at my usual angle, but it's not a flex nib and has been described as an architect nib. Over two months, I have become used to the pen which I find great for journaling and writing quick notes. Thanks again.

    That's a beautiful fountain pen Alice. The 4810 is the height of Mont Blanc in metres (4,810m)
    Platinum has a 3776 collection where the number represents the height of Mount Fuji.

    looks like a chunky pen! oooh piston fill system... the writing seems so smooooth~ yeah, i think a video comparing to how it's different to a fude would be helpful. i'm wondering how it's different from music nibs as well. i dont have any music nibs though but i've heard they're quite similar. thank you for a great demo and review vid!

      Thanks paint! I think teoh made a blog post comparing it with fude. I don’t have music nib 😕 does it mean I must ask drjspro for a music nib pen?

      The nib is more akin to Sailor's zoom nib. It is somewhat similar to the fude, but a fude nib can be used like a brush pen. It is really, really broad. It's nothing like a music nib. A music nib is some what like a stub nib, with thick down strokes and thin side strokes for bars and musical notes, but also a fine tip, at the corner of a nib for fine writing for numbers, other characters and written notes. Not all music nibs are good for it's intended purpose. A music nib is probably the most versatile nib that is out there.

      Also seems to have an architect/hebrew/arabic grind to it.

    This nib looks like an architect nib. I am not sure whether it assists architects with their drawing, but it does give some character to architects’ handwriting.

      Not really architect nib. It is more like the sailor’s Naginata Togi grind.

    Rhodia pads are great paper for calligraphy pens. I found a staples brand paper pad that is similar to rhodia and it is their 81/2 X 11 graph notebook. The ink does not bleed. Tfs

    用万保龙全是自我-use Montblanc fully explain yourself, use Montblanc interpretation explanation yourself.
    Your Chinese pronunciation is great and standard, that make me impressive. 😊
    I buy that rare pan in a store today in Taiwan. But your introduction book is bigger😂.

    Hi! How are you finding the flex nib after owning it for a while? My first impression was the same as yours here.

  • @ironmic9244
    @ironmic9244 Год назад +1

    it is pronounced, my-ster-stook. I am curious was the Chinese you read translate to what was written in English on the handbook? The logo is a bird's eye view of the mountain, so what is spreading out from the center is the glaciers. 4810 is the height in meters of Mont Blanc.
    You are correct, as many companies , especially luxury companies are heavily marketing towards the Chinese/East Asian market, this pen was developed for that.
    Western nibs are on the broad side, wetter side. I'm not a sketcher, but I think it would be very thick. It would be good for architects though. Have you tried a Sailor zoon or a specialty naginata togi nibs?

    • @eurekawanders
      @eurekawanders  Год назад

      Oh no I butchered my pronunciation again. Yes the Chinese and English mean the same.

      I have become a fan of specialty nibs. The sailor music nib is a great everyday writer with loads of character at a third of the price. The Jowo 1.1 stub also takes some beating.

    That writing on the Montblanc instruction card is atrocious, especially in Kanji. Do they hire a 5 yo to write it?
