Definitely am watching. Did not know about this nib, and now I know that I must have one! Thank you for expanding my knowledge and for showing all the amazing powers of this nib. :)
Recently bought it, it's a great sketching and all-rounder pen for fine, broad, shading. Very wet, very smooth writer, glides over good paper. I think it would be neat for you to compare this side by side with a Naganita Togi nib.
Pen is fantastic. But the beauty got enhanced because of your wonderful calligraphy skills. I think it would be odd with those who don't possess them. However thoroughly enjoyed the video.
I loved it! I have 2 of these and to my hands and eyes, they are identical. One is from USA and one is from the EU. Did you experiment with different inks? I love the Glacier blue by MB for the shading. I have some writing samples by Glacier blue, and Tiger red. Awesomeness!
Hi Azizah, iwould just like to take the oportunitu for all of the wonderful videos you make. Everyone has there stressesccand life can be hard for lots of people and the joy and enthusiasm you bkng to your videos can be just the tonic needed toift your spirits. I am gettkng more focussed on interesting and differenr nibs and i credit this with your passion all thing unstandard nib related particularly with an extra juicy vibe but particularly pens where you get the best of both worlds such as the Sailor Naginator Concord or Cross Concord which can be everyday writers in a conventional way but also a bit of a balmy broad way just the way i like them. Thank you for the gift you give us all. It is greatly appreciated and means somwthing and changes peoples days
Thank you for the informative review! After watching your review on the 146 and 149 flex pens, I bought those. Now I will have to get this one! I too love MB for their nibs.
I bought it few days ago as a result of watching your video. I have doodled around with it and it is impressive pen. Now for the time being I will use to create Bold Title (using normal 45º angle) and write body copy by reversing it, when writing my bullet journal. So I can bring one pen which can write Bold Headlines and "normal" body copy vs carrying multiple pen with various writing thickness. But it is an expensive way to do it lol
Hi Aziza, Thank you for an informative and detailed review. I remember you doing another review of another MB Meisterstuck Calligraphy Flexible Nib in 146 (Le Grande) Size, how is this different from that one? Is this the better pen? @gourmet pens
Hi great content. I had a question I was hoping you could answer… I have a 149 with a fine tip…great, but love the calligraphy edition. Would the new curved nib or older flex nib be best for calligraphy style writing? Thanks
Vertical downstroke thinner than the horizaontal strokes which are really broad- thats a variant of architect nib. Typically, an Architect nib’s vertical downstroks are much thinner than this nib’s downstrokes though. Sailor makes, from memory, about 6 ‘speciality’ nibs and architect nib is one of those.
Hi! Great review . Been looking at this pen. Really want one although not sure I should b/c of the price 😂😂. Really looking for a compelling reason to get it !! Anyway, enjoyed your review
The price of this 149 might be a bit steep, but it is not as much as the price of eggs in the US at the moment. I enjoyed the writing samples that you gave today. They are inspiring and thank you for showing everyone what this fountain pen can do. Take care.
Very nice calligraphy nib pen. The nib seems to be larger with respect to an oblique triple broad nib. Can you please confirm that? Thanks for the video!
I don't think there are a lot of people who don't like Montblanc pens, I think there are just a lot of people who don't like the price of Montblanc pens. Is the cushion in that box the new normal for MB or is that just for the 149?
I finally got this pen. Just curious i own the other 2 calligraphy nibs and this one has the smoothest piston knob. The other two has a bit of force when turning. Is yours the same?
It's kind of strange I went to the web page and login to my account and the price is $860 USD, but when you put it in the cart the price jumps to $1055 USD and this is before tax it's just the pen, does anyone know why? - Thanks
Thanks for your review! The nib is very impressive, comparable to a Sailor Cross Point! But did you have a similar cap play too, even if closed tighter as usual? ruclips.net/video/Y8EXHeWyp_A/видео.html
Definitely am watching. Did not know about this nib, and now I know that I must have one! Thank you for expanding my knowledge and for showing all the amazing powers of this nib. :)
"An expensive doodle pen, but whatever" - justification for every fountain pen purchase I make 😀 Great video!
All of it is gorgeous. I can only dream.
Awesome. I have a MB 149 m nib, usin for sketching. This curved nib are awesome.
I always love to watch you write! Thank you Azizah!
Great video! I love the nib as well. The video really helped me see how to use it a lot better. Thank you!
Have one. Love it! Amazing nib.
I'm wildly panting and anxiously gazing at this while thinking what a cool nib! Thanks for the demo - will add it to my WANT list.
This is lovely, just got one. It’s totally worth it
That's a seriously cool nib! ♥️👍

Wow that looks like so much fun!
Gorgeous nib... I would love drawing with that. Such versatility. Thank you!

I love that ink colour!

Do you prefer this one or the flex nib?
I’ve been plotting on the 149 thanks for sharing!!! Lemme count my coins lol

Sorry about all the typos😅
Thank you for the informative review! After watching your review on the 146 and 149 flex pens, I bought those. Now I will have to get this one! I too love MB for their nibs.
The 149 Flex is one of my favorites for sure. This one takes some more practice to use, I'm still learning with it.
Lovely nib and lettering. One question; how does this compare to the sailor zoom nib?

I have never in my life seen anyone write a "9" backwards like that. I almost spit out my soup.
So neat! I want one!
thanks

Totally different :) compare the writing samples for these - the curved nib is not flexible and has a different shape of tipping
Hi great content. I had a question I was hoping you could answer… I have a 149 with a fine tip…great, but love the calligraphy edition. Would the new curved nib or older flex nib be best for calligraphy style writing? Thanks
Nice handwriting!
On my list to buy. Looks similar to my Sailor Nagantia Togi nib. But this is a Montblanc.
Would you say a full 149 will last longer than 2 MontBlanc (regular) Rollerball cartridges?

Great video! I would love to see a comparison with an architect nib.
Hi! Great review . Been looking at this pen. Really want one although not sure I should b/c of the price 😂😂. Really looking for a compelling reason to get it !! Anyway, enjoyed your review
Think I may buy a 149 at some point in the future, hopefully with an EF nib(I’ve got small handwriting!:)
The price of this 149 might be a bit steep, but it is not as much as the price of eggs in the US at the moment. I enjoyed the writing samples that you gave today. They are inspiring and thank you for showing everyone what this fountain pen can do. Take care.

Hello! Can you recommend some nib meisters that can do a similar nib? Thanks!!
I don't think there are a lot of people who don't like Montblanc pens, I think there are just a lot of people who don't like the price of Montblanc pens.
Is the cushion in that box the new normal for MB or is that just for the 149?
So cool. How would you say it compares to something like a zoom nib?
What is the difference between this and the 149 Flexible NIB?
I finally got this pen. Just curious i own the other 2 calligraphy nibs and this one has the smoothest piston knob. The other two has a bit of force when turning. Is yours the same?

I would love a calligraphy nib but to use it requires slowing down and by the time I finish a sentence I may lose my train of thought. Lol
If you think this is sad, invite me as a guest. It was fun to watch this.
You mentioned rose gold trim, I would stay away from MB rose gold nibs, they notoriously flake. I know this from experience.
Can you buy the nib and put on other Monte Blanc pen?
Thanks for your review! The nib is very impressive, comparable to a Sailor Cross Point! But did you have a similar cap play too, even if closed tighter as usual? ruclips.net/video/Y8EXHeWyp_A/видео.html
$1130 USD now. :(
It’s a Fude nib.
No it's not. A fude nib is a bent nib, this is closer to a naginata togi or curved architect.
Yes, you’re right. The title said “curved” and I didn’t look closely at the point. It’s all in the tipping.
