Thanks for the tutorial, it really sold me on downloading the mod. I play FS to relax and chill, which I find very difficult while stressing about keeping my lines straight. Like you said this'll take that edge off and let me enjoy my time.

One of the best features about using this especially for seeding, fertilizing, lime and pesticides is that you get minimum waste of material due to the straight running you don't need to overlap like you tend to do when running manually.

Great videos, trying to figure out how to convince the wife I'm not a farm nerd after I set the dashboard up on my Chromebook.... Only thing I'd throw out as a tip, cut the volume on the intro and outro to a db or 3 below your voice level during the training, when the outro started I all but tossed my headset off...

@@TheFarmSimGuy will do bud thanks. Makes me laugh with all the vids I’ve watched on the GPS thing and no one is mentioning the real reason for off set. It is for things that are off set to the back of the tractor. Like a plow or potato harvester!!

Another amazing video! nice accent! I'd like to visit UK :) Hey, I've created some tracks and they are saved, I use normally the GPS, but when I quit the game, load my save game and try to turn the GPS on with ALT+X, it always tells me to load or create a track, how can I do that?

No sadly just PC the GPS option is purely a visual add on on some tractors

Silly question but forgive me as im new to the pc stuff... will this work with hired workers. Like set a path or whatever for them to run and they stay on track. Very frustrating when hired workers dont follow edges of fields. Maybe theirs a different pc mod for it and i havent found it. Any help is appreciated.
No this is if you want to drive the tractor but keep nice straight lines, you want to check out Courseplay for enhanced workers, it's a game-changer 👍 Check out my tutorials on it too!

Thank you for the Tutorial. I am using this mod quite often. I find it especially useful on the "No Mans Land" map, when creating the edges of new fields. You said there is more advanced functionality... What I really miss from this GPS mod, which was available in the FS17 GPS mod (which I think was way easier and had more fucntionaliity), is the ability for the GPS to turn the tractor automatically once it detects the end of the field. Is this still possible with this new GPS mod?
Hi Felix, no unfortunately that's not possible with this GPS mod, it only works in a straight line, but that's not to say that it won't be in a future update. I'm sure you know about Courseplay? but something that might help you with No Mans Land specifically is the create fields function of it. Take a look at my vid from a couple of days ago on it ruclips.net/video/zUn-raj8k8M/видео.html
Oh they removed that function? I liked that function, you could use it as a simple version of courseplay. I usually made two runs across at the both short ends of the field manually then I set the GPS running the long edge and set it to turn automatically at the edges, the two "headlands" at the ends was usually enough to make sure the entire field got covered. And since you couldn't use Courseplay for contracts in FS17 it was very useful to get a sort of auto run for contracts.
Have you done a video going in depth on what the three bars are and if we can do anything with it? I can't find anything myself
I have not but it detects how close to the headland you are and can stop the tractor once it reaches a certain point
If you watch the bars you can see that it counts up or down depending on which side of the start line you are on.

Quick question. I have a mod called store deliveries but the set delivery point for that mod is ctrl s. The gps menu key is also ctrl s. Any idea how I can change the key bind so they don’t keep interfering with one another? Thanks
Yes if you go into your keybind (ESC menu) and scroll until you find store deliveries you can reset that to be a different set of keys 👍

Its been a while since i played FS19 but if i remember i was using courseplay and this GPS mod looks like very light version of coursplay. Not sure what else you can do with this GPS mod but courseplay looks way more advanced.
What are the benefits of GPS comparing to courseplay ?.

It depends if you want to fully automate a field or still take some part in it, Courseplay you can set up and leave it to get on with it, and return when it's finished, if you still want to drive your tractor GPS is good for keeping your rows straight and not missing anyting but in principle you are still in control of the vehicle. I always think of it as Courseplay = fully automated (Hired Helper) GPS = Semi-Automated (You still in control)

Pardon my ignorance, but If I use courseplay, there is no need to use GPS right? or am I missing something?
Correct, Think of Courseplay as full Autopilot and GPS as more of a helper tool to keep your lines straight in your field (you are still driving the tractor)

It sure does, that's a modded Case Magnum i'm using in the video, it works on every tractor 👍

Which mod is the Tractor?
Hello I'm new to the game and, I started using course play but now if I try to select field it just says there ( currently loaded course) i don't know what I did wrong i would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to fix it..
Hi there, first check is to make sure you own the field, if you have bought the field, it may be that the field boundaries haven’t been set, I don’t know what map you are using but there is an option to calculate current field boundary. That looks useful yeah but how’s it any better then just hiring a worker?
Just an alternative to it being fully done by a worker, kind of a halfway house, you get to do some of the work without it being fully automated, also quite realistic to real life, operates in almost the same way as GPS in modern tractors
i dont know if its a bug or another mod is interfering with it but for some reason when i apply the mod i start my game and it just loads forever. my game works when i dont apply the mod to the map. courseplay and this mod have messed up for me because my game doesnt work right when i use them. for courseplay i cannot buy a header for a combine because when i do i cant move my camera or customize the header when i have courseplay on. my game also glitches out if i buy it and i have to restart. i know its a long explanation but i would like to have some explanation or for someone to have the same problem as me so i know im not alone.
(also, the whole time i was typing that and this part my game still hasnt loaded with the mod on.)
Try loading a map with no other mods except Guidance Steering, if it works then you know it's a mod clash

You will if you've not turned it on, activate Guidance Steering and Alt C will then switch it on and off

turns out EVERYONE and their mothers had this issue , to the point someone had to make a mod
and im sure the devs WORKED on the tractors not going straight.. cause it goes straight on the roads
So why not make it a skill? Show them why it happens and how to gameplay it
