Some Sheriff's officers DON'T serve the people who voted for them. They are similar to the Police and follow the Governor, States AG, And/Or Mayor's officers depending on what county or State they work in.
Research and Or talk to the Sheriff's office in your County and make sure they ARE SUPPORTING YOU THE PEOPLE who elected them and NOT government Officials.
I never understand how anyone could believe in giving the government power over the people
A retroactive law is in our constitution refered by name as " expo facto" meaning at that time you cannot be guilty of a new laws meaning when you had complied at the time legally.
All of our state governments need to stand up against this as well.
Some states might just because they want to get re-elected. Generally speaking though governments don’t like to give power to the people.
Every Sheriff should feel like this.

Every sheriff knows they are top law enforcement of their county but large city police forces in those counties easily negate what the Constitution says. We are ruled at gunpoint and that is the beginning of the end and we are there now, not later but now. speak up and speak out and do it with knowledge

My hats off to the law enforcement officers who see the ATF as overreaching their authority. In my lifetime, I have never seen our country deteriorate in every area (education, civilian rights, medical care, judicial justice, religious rights, transportation breakdowns, military readiness, etc..) as in the last several years. Most Americans are in shock at the attacks against our Constitutional rights, the other half just lack the knowledge of American and World History.
The sad fact is we've allowed half of our population to be completely ignorant about our history or how govt is supposed to work. They don't teach them anything positive in the schools these days.

If all the sheriff's in these counties would stand up like he's doing I think they'd back down pretty fast. Thumbs up to him to stand for what he's given oath to protect.
If all law enforcement and government agents had the spirit of this man to protect its citizens constitutional rights we would live in a great country and I guarantee that mass shootings and general crime would go way down.

The sheriff is right on... he is doing exactly what he should be doing. I really appreciate a sheriff who has the balls and honor to protect his citizens, if even against the ATF and federal government when they are justly wrong in what their doing.
The Sheriff in my Illinois county has also voiced the same sentiments. He has also said that he will not enforce JB Prickster's latest unlawful firearms laws and that the citizens should contact the Sheriff's office _immediately_ if anyone from the ATF or other Government agency came to their door.
I call him prickster too! Him the the government of Michigan are both billionaire buddies and only seek to strip rights away. Hopefully the sheriffs here act the same way when the democrats pass the same type of unlawful and unconstitutional baloney.

It's good to see a sheriff say that he will uphold and defend the Constitution. Another note on this is, the ATF by making this rule change and claiming the a firearm with a pistol brace is an SBR they have effectively made SBR's in common use and therefore protected by the 2nd amendment

I most definitely stand with this honorable sheriff and all others who put the people and the oath they voluntarily took to support and defend the Constitution ahead of themselves or the political establishment. I’m a Marine Corps veteran and I would stand with him even if it came to arms.

What a great Sheriff..no matter WHICH county. Wisconsin’s very fortunate to have a knowledgable, honorable WILLING sheriff to take on the Feds.
ATF is unable to create laws. That is the Legislative Branches exclusive domain. Further, they did not adhere to proper procedure in releasing this rule change.
In addition, there are 10 million to 40 million braces out there and the government has not met the threshold of defining braces as dangerous AND unusual- therefore they are in common use and cannot be be banned as that is blatantly unconstitutional. These are only some of the reasons that this is illegal.
Are other Sheriff’s in WI standing in solidarity with him !!! He is a TRUE AMERICAN 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This Sheriff is a patriot and is speaking out and God forbid may be standing up against this abomination. I would like to see other 2A sanctuary counties in Wicsonsin, particularly Waukesha County, which I understand is a 2A sanctuary and is my home - should speak out against this as well.
We need more law enforcement officials like him. I’m a 30 veteran of law enforcement and I would never help federal agents violate someone’s right.

The SBR part of the NFA should have been thrown out with the handgun ban since it was only in there to keep people from skirting the handgun ban.

This is the kind of sheriffs you should be voting for, it varies from state to state but where I live we elect them county to county. Jim Jordan and Thomas Massie drafted a formal letter to get the atf in front of the judiciary committee and they have about 2 days to respond. I'm looking forward to to it. This is a severe gross overreach on so many levels.

This is an egregious thing: as one comment I saw this week put it; what other right ( of the 10 in the Bill of Rights) has been trampled so much by laws and regulations?
None.
The Life, Liberty and Property of a citizen is his first and highest concern; these are his by gift of the Creator who gave him Life, and the Government we have authorized IS THE CONSTITUTION.
When ignorance gives rise to these prohibitive laws, and when further (perhaps malicious) regulatory agencies are formed, with CRIMINAL SANCTIONS against the citizens -- where has the authority of that citizen gone?
He has now been effectively made a SUBJECT instead of a CITIZEN, who must walk on eggshells - or face horrendous consequences!
Who is our oppressor?
Who can protect that lone citizen from the Very Heavy Hand of Fed. or State criminal prosecution??
Do you see the impossible burden placed on common people's backs, Tom?
As an attorney, can you do a segment on just this issue, to explore, a la Patrick Henry! this subject?
The solution lies in abolishing the BATFE, and clear statement from the SCOTUS and POTUS that unConstitutional rules will NEVER be enforced or upheld!

So the question is ... if the ATF tries to come and take what's mine because they "made a rule" that has not passed into law. Aren't they the equivalent of a thief or home invader? In which case, they should be met with force.
Follow up... I'm not talking about my, or anyone else's interpretation of the constitution. I'm talking about the clear and blatant over reach of the ATF to decide themselves that something should be illegal without the proper process. Then attempting to enter my home and take what's mine.
You are correct. Just because they are a law enforcement officer doesn't mean that they are legal in what they are doing. I believe in law and order, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.
Imho yes they are an armed force that needs to be dealt with by force. The odds of you winding up on top are slim but in my case I have drawn my line in the sand. That being said I cant own pistol braces and the such where I'm at so I have nothing to worry about.....yet.

@@jaypabon2045 they didn't just do it by themselves. Joe Biden couldn't get his "assault weapons" (propaganda) ban passed so he's usurping the power of congress and abusing his executive authority. This "rule" is wrong on so many levels. Trump was bad on the 2a but this administration is absolutely terrible. Absolutely no regard for the constitution or anyone's rights.
The sheriff hit it exactly right about dangerous felons being caught with firearms and the firearms charges being ignored. Thats because they need crime to continue to keep scaring people so they can continue to push their narrative. Law abiding citizens get prosecuted but they criminals get out on plea deals. That's not accidental. It gives the powers that be the fuel that they need to keep people in fear.

i'm banned for life from gun ownership by the ATF because of a 12 year old B misdemeanor battery, and they say i can NEVER have my rights restored. Lawyers ignore my case!
How? Did it stem from a domestic violence incident? Or does the sentence carry a penalty of longer than 1 year
@@TheRealSwampOperator All misdemeanors carry a sentence of more than a year besides disorderly conduct.

I as a retired Union Ironworker am proud to have built the Polk County Sheriff Center years ago. I am also proud my state, Wisconsin, is one of few with a true 2nd Amendment in our Constitution.
Can someone sue civilly the ATF for discrimination against the disabled
A courageous sheriff, a true professional, that swore the SACRED OATH, to protect and defend our constitution perfected by our founding father is an example of Integrity.
Law enforcement would have so much more support if the protected our rights like this guy is (or atleast not help trample them).

The written constitution is king
Everyone remember, no matter what " they say " your individual participation in any of it is 100% voluntary..
I believe in law and order. Without it we would have utter chaos. On the other hand if those laws infringe on my right to life, liberty or my pursuit of happiness I will not comply. As long as I am not infringing on anyone else's rights I am legally allowed, by the constitution, to do it. If it's a constitutionally protected right then they can kick rocks I don't care what law enforcement agency it is.
