Do you have a video explaining how to navigate the platform? Or could you point us out to one? I use my own material as well, so I do actually like to use my stuff as it's tried and tested. Hi dear, I would like to know something. You are a teacher full time teaching grades 9 and 11 I think you once mentioned this in one of your vlogs, so now I am interested in knowing when do you teach on preply? from what time to what time? are you booked on the hours you are free on? also do you get bookings that clash with your hours say now like midnight when you have to sleep or preply allows you to show your availability hours where students can book you based on those availability hours shown?
Hey Mamphele. With Preply you set your own availability and that's when students can book you so there won't be any clashes. You choose classes according to your time zone.
I used to teach from 17:00 to 22:00 during the week and 08:00 to 11:00 on weekends.
By the way I don't teach on Preply anymore.

A lot of people don't like this but I decreased my price , also you need to change your profile or video make sure you're welcoming. Your availability also plays a huge role.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to get student on preply is to set your price to 2 dollars anything beyond that it’s crickets

@@blueisthename8046 2 dollars! I set mine to 11.25 and got maybe 2 trial classes per week until I got 4 regular students. I moved it to 12.25 and now it's crickets but I'm ok to leave it there because I got 1 more and for me I have a good schedule. more would be great but I'm ok w this

Just make sure that there is no word "free" anywhere in your descriptions then you will be good to go.

There are other ways to receive payments like Wise, Payoneer, and Skrill to transfer the money from your internal Preply wallet to your withdrawal account.

The whole system is just so exploitative. You work for free, using your own resources in the name of “trial lesson” meanwhile they get paid in full not to mention how high the commission is when you finally get paid. Not to mention being obligated to respond within a certain time to messages if not they hide your profile, that’s more admin on your side that you not even paid for. The way preply conducts business is disgusting 🤮
