Valentino single handedly put motogp on the map and that's a fact. The sport would have never gained the popularity that it has today if it wasn't for his eccentric personality, intense rivalries and insane celebrations (apart from his pure speed of course). Someone someday (maybe marquez) could break his records, but the fact is people don't adore Vale for just his records, they adore him because he made it fun, he made it a show, he made it entertainment of the highest quality. It's not the same without him. He will be missed. Grazie Vale.
The last corner, last lap move on Lorenzo in Barcelona will go down as the greatest overtake in motorsports history. The only rider/driver to be loved by everyone no matter their nationality. A true legend, one of a kind. Enjoy your retirement Vale!
No doubt that was the most intense race ending I have ever seen in my life, pure class from two of the best riders that were competing for so many years
people said this about Akerfeldt, I dedicated part of my life to prove everyone wrong, and now he himself told me to join his band, GOATs are there to be defeated
I used to wake up early, in the middle of a rural town, moving an antenna bolted to the roof, just to tune into a foreign country free tv because I wanted to see Valentino racing. And I saw his success through all these years because he's a legend and, for me, the greatest ever. I'm glad he decided to end it when he wanted to, instead of on a crash.
On a different note, Suzy Perry is all class and does the subject matter justice. Rossi is super comfortable with her and she really made this feel like a conversation between friends.
I’ve been a huge fan of motorcycle racing since the 70’s when Barry Sheene was in his prime. I have seen many talented riders over those years but none as special as Valentino Rossi. In my humble opinion he is the GOAT.
He had the best bikes and it wasn’t even close. We’re not saying he wasn’t good, we’re saying he never had to show it. Rossi won on inferior machinery.

Seeing Rossi recounting his memories of his fallen friends in Marco and Nicky brought me undone again and makes me appreciate seeing Vale actually reach his retirement era and be able to enjoy living out his life post racing.
As a Rossi and MotoGP fan, I'm sure that Hayden-Honda deserved that title on Rossi-Yamaha. Without the bad episode at Estoril (Pedrosa crashing out Hayden) there wouldn't have been any need of calculations at Valencia...

I totally agree
Agree. But not a show pls, that belongs to F1
Agree, but...when he got challenged, he turned it into a sh!tshow though, that's also facts....
