Just sad that many people forget what that guy had done in the past and how good he really is. I remember Troy Bayliss saying in a documentary, when Rossi announced to leave Honda for Yamaha, that: "If he (Rossi) wins with the Yamaha, he would be one step closer to god." Rossi won it four times. He is the last 500cc World Champion and I wonder how many of the so called "Aliens" would have survived a 500gp season. But that's only my 5cent.

Being 40 just beginning track riding and watching this. This guy is younger than I, and has been doing this for 20 years and makes it look easy. Wow. Just wow. He sees things faster and can compute them faster than any human. It’s Is artificial intelligence like. If you are behind him you just better be ok with it. You’re done.
I dont even care if he's not win the race anymore, vale is the face of passion and determination, he bring battles not only in the first row, i remember his face when sete beat him in 2nd position, he's furious, he try to smile but he cant hide the anger, he show us that he's only human, but always keep it real.

Been watching Rossi race since i was 9 years old in 99 and I still remember that race where he ran to the toilet after, was a funny moment id never forget, I grew up loving motorcycles and used to watch Michael doohan and Max biaggi battle it out, doohan was coming towards the end of his career and when I saw Rossi I was captivated by his fun personality and his natural abilty. I've been a fan of his to this day

For me the biggest reason he is the GOAT is the manner of how he wins races. It is always a battle, overtake, a show. You see this with Marc Marquez, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Marco Simoncelli. They just always wear you down or overtake you in ways you think you're eyes fooled you or no one has done an overtake there. miracle Pole positions and almost bizarre, insane skill in the WET/cold tyres/pitting. Always a battle
What great about him is whenever a new star rise he is always able to compete them from avery long long time which most of the rider can't do including marc Marquez..
