My partner has a lot of tools, so when he needed a circular saw, I ordered this one for him as a Christmas gift. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxYDKeIjKLOfcwTgdin7TtCutsz4MbIc43 He is incredibly happy with the purchase. He stated that he likes that it is powerful, but still easy to use and cuts very well. He mentioned that it is important to know the right tools for the job at hand, and this compact saw has been exactly what he needed for a variety of projects at his rental properties and renovations. He also appreciates the battery packs, as stated, he owns a lot of DEWALT tools, so he is able to always keep batteries charged as needed.
I have this vac, I use it for heavy applications, extreme dust and water , its very strong and useful the only drawback is that it is missing an extension to vacuum the floor, i had to make one using plumbing tube. Also acts as a leaf blower by placing the tube on the exhaust outlet.
This little vacuum works great and has enough suction power to get the job done🌼 I run it on a 3ah 20v battery and it lasts a couple weeks easily vacuuming wood chips in the basement every other day from hauling wood in. Works great for the car too.
I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
i was palnning on reviewing the other vacuum in a separate review but honestly i didnt think it was that great. spend the extra on this one, more versatile . the other one is useless
Add the option of the batteries charging while puggled in even while using them, and another option of going full power while plugged in(maybe second motor) or same one just adjustment for different current input I wouldn't mind mind paying another 50/100 depending on the upgrade.
Dawson is STRONGER???! Maybe I got a bum one but the attachments were crappy too (stupid design in my opinion BUT they DID at least stay on the hose which is a more than I can say about my crappy Rigid shop vac attachments which are even the car detailing “upgrade” ones!! 😂)! Which Dawson are you using? My Dawson has been less than impressive. If the Dewalt is worse than that, it won’t clean anything! I was very unhappy w my Dawson hand held I got several years ago, AND it was expensive!
I was thinking about buying one of these vacs because I camp alot and already have tons of 20 v max batteries from my DeWalt tools my question is can you hook the hose up to the blower side and can it fill air beds chairs ?
it does have a blow end which u can detach the suck end to blow. no pun intended. i dont think dewalt makes an attachment to blow up air mattresses though.
@@randomrazr yes I agree, still considering buying the 2 gallon option due to the abundance of dewalt batteries I have laying around. Plus all around it looks decent!
I think it's more powerful when plugged in, but I rarely plug it in. It's okay, but it isn't my favorite DeWalt tool. I was actually thinking of getting the smaller one also to replace my Dustbuster. I would keep the bigger one, but the small one looks so convenient if you just want to suck up some dead bugs, clean out the Roomba or deal with other small debris.
18volt and 20volt are the same thing just 20volt is just marketing by DeWalt in the States which they can get away with because at peak charge it will be at 20volts for a few seconds.
You are absolutely right, that’s why the same tool is advertised 18v in Europe. I love Dewalt tools, but find the company very misleading, now tricking unknowing tool buyers into their “ atomic “ bull crap line. XR line are GREAT tools, Dewalt is a untrustworthy company. I actually still have my old DC825 impact driver with adapter for newer style batteries. I’ve been using it for 12 years, DAILY! Can’t kill those brushes 🤣
@@zjedinite It’s not really misleading quoting 20v instead of 18v as that is what others have done in the states, DeWalt followed. It is stupid though!
@@justlookingaround9834 I said “ I find the company very misleading” not that 18V or 20V difference statement. Look at the way they do their bundles! They put an XR tool on the front and the rest are brushless. You don’t get what you think you are getting, you actually really, really need to look into every spec on each tool on said bundle. That’s why I found this company misleading, the 18v Europe vs 20v US is just something they can’t get away with overseas. If they could, they would. I love the tools, HATE the company.
The old 18v model was a better design... drain port on the side was handy plus the hose connections on the ends was a good design... they should have kept that design and just incorporated the 20v battery.
18 or 20v batteries... They are the same thing. Your 20v batteries are actually 18v, but unlike in the EU, it's allowed to lie about that in the US. There are plenty of vids about this.
Yes, that's well known. However the advertised 18v and 20v batteries are significantly different and do not swap into each machine. The general public may not know the marketing bs with these batteries, so there's no other reason to not refer to them as they are advertised.
Here in Canada the 18v and 20v batteries are very different physically. The voltage is the same, the physical make is different. 20v is branded as 20v max, meaning it's the no-load voltage.
@@marknicholson6002 if we start to label things at no load, loads of products would get relabeled. I also bet my 0-100 would be much better without the load of windows, car seats, platework etc. The standard has been the voltage while using it, hence 20v is BS, and why they are not allowed to label it like that in the EU.
4amp* hr *battery, it can provide far more than 4 amps. Probably 10c where c is capacity aka 4ahrs. It won't provide 40amps for long but it will provide 4amps for an hr.. Got it? Basicly it means they r rocking 2 sets of 5 series 2 amp hr cells in parallel. Series ups volts parallel ups c rating and max amp output. These days u can find 20c rated 2ah cells but for cost reasons I'll bet they aren't using them
the review is titled for the bigger vac. it was never a comparison video nor did it say comparison video so thats ur own fault for clicking. however, i would recomend the bigger vac. the smaller one is no where near as versatile.

One thing you forgot to mention is that the larger vacuum had a blower option. The smaller one does not.
yes your right, u can detach the hose and hook it on the exhuast end and use it as somewhat of a blower.
Wish this came with a sacrificial bag. I use bags on my Ridgid portable and the filter never gets dirty.

How big is the hose connection? Is it 1 1/4 inch like a standard home vacuum or a Kirby?
Which one is better for car cleaning?
Can you use a dust bag with this vacuum?
Omg. The vacuum was the first thing that was there when you opened the box!😱
Oh wait, what were you expecting?
Which one is better ? The square one or the shoe looking one?
Will the vacuum charge the battery when it's plugged in?
no it doesnt. no built in charger. its still nice though that u can switch between the two
randomrazr is it more powerful when plugged in?
At the beginning you said it basically the same as the smaller vacuum. Then the rest of the video is about how it is so different
Would this be perfect for cleaning a car?
a dyson v8 or v10 would be more ideal. make sure to get the mini brushhead attachment
I'm thinking about adding the bigger one to my dewalt lineup... how does it work vacuuming up sand out of your car/truck?
u need a small brush head to vacuum sand out of the carpet. id consider a dyson v10 or v11 if u want to use it for cleaning a car.

@@randomrazr thanks bud intex has the attachments just have to measure the hose diameter
@@SinistirX2755 really? the company is called intex ? I would love to get my hands ona . brush attachment for this. thanks for the comment :)
Just get the dewalt cordless blower for that it’s more practical and already comes with the tips for that.
What’s the model number?
Can it pick up a bowling ball?
What is the main AC supply rating of this? 120V or 240V?
Can you move the hose to the exhaust and use it as a blower?
yes :)

nope. just . awashable and reusabl hepa filter
