    Well, you make me want to sample more with the Force even though it's more cumbersome than the MPC X & Live.

    14:32 to 14:37 - tried this multiple times - but when I change the start point on the copied sample, it affects the first sample too! - I can get past this by doing the “extract” thing you do later in this video, but what am I missing here?

    • @chrisbhansen
      @chrisbhansen 4 года назад +2

      Ahhhh!!! I got it by squinting at your display - “Slice” needs to be set to “Pad” and not “All” - kind of a key point!

    Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! Can you please go a little backwards to the part of how you set this thing up for recording samples, which input settings do you choose (for example, on the back - do you choose instrument or line? do you turn on the +48V or not?) etc. Because for someone like me, your tutorial begins "in the middle"

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  3 года назад

      I only use the +48 if I'm using a microphone that needs phantom power. That's the only reason you should use that. one. Otherwise, just use the instrument or line - depending upon how much output your device puts out. You have to just plug it in, and see if the volume is too hot. Microphone levels are usually the quietest. Then comes "instrument" levels. Then "line" levels are the hottest.
      If you're plugging in a guitar, or keyboard, etc. - those are usually going to be "instrument" levels. Line levels would be coming from an amplifier, or stereo, that sort of thing.

    hey if you use the demo version (that lasts forever) of Reaper to record your vocal track they have a great plugin called ReFir that will filter out all that background noise and you could also use their built in gate fx and this will make your youtube videos sound much better. if you need help setting it up just ask. goodluck!

    Sample Tip:
    Do the "Classic Chop Method" but let each chop play the end of the sample. So each chop has a different start time but all have the same end time. This way gives different kind of vibe. We can call it the "Start Chop Method" lol. Or create 2 programs & do both.
    Peace

      You mean.. Let each chop continue through the end?

    • @rickbrown8184
      @rickbrown8184 3 года назад

      @@PinkBuddhaAcademy Yup. It's a technique I discovered on the MPC-2500 jjos non-destructive chop. If u play around with it you'll see how it could be
      dope on some samples.
      It'll make for nice video.
      Peace

    does anyone know how to install the expansion pack to the force?

  • @kikkomanifest
    @kikkomanifest 4 года назад

    is it possible to have separate fx for each pad? let's say i want two copies of the same snare sound on separate pads, the other one with delay and the other one dry.

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  4 года назад +1

      Yes. Go to pad mixer. Only works on drums though.

      @@PinkBuddhaAcademy thanks! Trying to figure out if Force is the right machine for me. Seems pretty good so far.

  • @DJTechnoboom

    How do you connect the phone to the force? Or do you just record the sound with a microphone?

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  4 года назад

      Get a headphone to quarter inch cord. Then you just plug it in.
