- King Charles has been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer and will be stepping back from royal duties while he undergoes treatment.
The news led Prince Harry to make a dash from his home in California to the UK to visit his father for what ended up being a short 30 minute meeting before King Charles' was whisked away to Sandringham.
It's the first time the father and son have been in the same room for 16 months. But why was their meeting so fleeting? According to Royal author and journalist Rob Jobson it could have something to do with Queen Camilla...

That's the problem with some parents that children need appointments to visit or speak to parents. No wonder society is changing for the worse. In some cultures, it's an open house for the children to visit or drop in, and the RF family has no morality, Charlie's has time for camellia, but his own son, sickening 😢
He didn't come to see lawyers. Legal business could be conducted by zoom etc and anything needing a signature could be done electronically. He came purely for the PR stunt. He has been told by his PR team to reconcile with his family as they are his only currency. He travelled 11 hours when he was asked not to. Took no notice of his father's wishes or state of health because that didn't suit what he wanted to portray to the media and public. He wanted to be seen making the mercy dash. He didn't hang around as he needed to get back for the NFL awards to make a speech insulting the NFL for stealing rugby!

Don't agree with Jobson. Camilla, as always, would support whatever Charles felt was best for him in his recovery. If he didn't want to see Harry for any length of time, it was Charles' call. Also, there was harmony in the family and Harry had sung Camilla's praises throughout the years. It was only after MM came on the scene he suddenly reversed course in everyone.

What you may not realize unless you have been through cancer treatment is that you have to take medications to treat the side affects of the treatment that make you feel miserable. I rushed my husband home as fast as I could after his treatments.
For now he's trying alternative medication and treatments.

I had liver cancer.. during treatments my immuno system was depressed...being around people and especially small children could not be. if not for an INCREDIBLE gastroinoligist/ Dr. B. Bark I would be deceased...45bdays after going on the list...I had a New to me liver! There are still doctors that care especially since a doctor gave me liver cancer...all this happened even though the BAD Dr. lived next to a reservation and I am Native American. 🙏

Harry had to fly off the next day rather than stay for a few days at a Royal residence as he was booked to speak at the NFL.
For Harry it was very serendipitous as he had papers to sign and it was a great excuse to tie it to a visit to his father. Not a flight to visit the King but a huge PR shot. I think the King should have said...sorry, I have other plans.

It’s a tough one to call. I certainly understand your viewpoint in a way Charles did that by only allowing 12 minutes of his time suspect they could’ve prohibited it by a medical doctor. Diagnosis of not taking a chance with someone who’s just flown halfway across the world it’s a tough one.

The King just had a chemo treatment which leaves you exhausted and nauseous. Harry could have stayed overnight if he really cared about his father but he just had to rush back so he could hand out another trophy. So pathetic!!!!

It was purely a selfish act on Harry’s part. Getting on a plane and then visiting someone who has cancer is nuts. Of course Harry’s little brain wouldn’t have thought that the patient needs to isolate as much as possible so they don’t catch anything whilst undergoing treatment. IMO it was all for optics, him pretending to be the loving son. There he was at the airport laughing and joking around, but made sure he looked suitably distressed in the car. Amazing how the cameras knew where to be!

Legal papers can be signed and witnessed electronically. KC Sherbourne was cued up release part two of the PR blast to insure the African Parks atrocities on his watch were buried before Harry arrived in Las Vegas for his paid gig.

Harry made the trip because he was going to Las Vegas and then Canada next week and needed to have that contact with the King so that he looks good to Americans and Canadians. He announced it and had photographers capture him during the trip so it feels like he will use his father's diagnosis for an additional chapter in the paperback version of his book probably doe out soon. No one should fall for Harry's actions, they are purely self serving.
King Charles and Camilla are managing their news just fine, as the have managed everything so far including the markle debacle.. Harry would have looked less silly if he had waited until after his commitments, award presentation and Invictus publicity, then with the King’s agreement flown over for a more relaxed visit of a day or two. Harry made it seem like a crises / emergency, and it was done likely to stop any criticism of himself rather than comforting his father. Speaking of fathers, markles father must wish she had an ounce of concern for him: his condition is likely more precarious, but I guess he is not wealthy and markle has nothing to gain from being attentive to him.

Harry was there to push the African Parks scandal off the news cycle before his gig with the NFL. How does Harry have the brass neck to award a trophy to an African-American, named in the honor of an African-American while standing in front of African-American players knowing what transpired for years on his watch in Africa. But then he will go to Invictus after lying about his war record. King Charles had his first treatment infusion on Tuesday and went to Sandringham where he could be isolated while his immune system is compromised by the treatment. None of the family can just rock up to Sandringham or any royal residence for a stay without notice. They aren't hotels with rooms at the ready.The apt he would occupy would have to be prepared and staffed. Harry knows this but the public doesn't so he uses it a part of his poor me-mean Pa act.
Very doubtful that his presence would have been desired at Sandringham for any period of time. If he went primarily to sign some papers, I'm sure Charles would have known that. No one in the BRF now has many delusions about Harry's character.
