Free People Soutache Barrel Jeans Dupe Part 2- Adding the Design

In part 1, I showed you how to turn jeans into a skirt. In part 2, I’ll show you how I drew the pattern and attached the soutache braid.
Attaching the braid can be done by sewing or fabric glue. You can do a floral pattern like I did, or do something unique to you like faces, shapes, animals, you name it!
I sew on a Janome Memory Craft 9450 QCP and a Bernina L890.

I did something similar a while ago, but I used 3mm macrame cord. I ran it through my smallest rolled hem food and secured it with a 3mm zigzag stitch in the same color. That also went very well and you can get many different colors in macrame thread. The effect with those flowers on white jeans is great!
