Thanks guys fir this new Documentary.i have been having trouble sleeping is almost 10:30 pm here in Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 still couldn't sleep...thanks guys let me continue watching
I'm an English speaker with no talent for French or Spanish, but I love this documentary! I've read about the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge, which was built at the same time as the Paris subway. I see parallels in the construction of both transportation crossings. In both cases, the construction company had to deal with the bends, which are caused by the extreme pressure of water. The bends can be fatal, so the construction company had to find workers who were willing to risk their lives for the job. I'm only 20 minutes into this film, but my mind is already racing with thoughts and questions about the construction of the Paris subway. The documentary does a great job of showing how humans keep pushing the limits of knowledge and applying it to construction feats. It makes you wonder how our great-great-grandchildren will view our "state-of-the-art" methods. However, today in 2024, I had to go through three screens and check-and-correct the language. In two different CC generators and sound, I had to go from French, to CC English, via a Spanish CC, to settle on the bits that together was going to make this understandable. I am a very lazy man. I don't want to have to stop and figure how to make this work. I can only hope that we get this communication complication thing nailed down before I get too senile to give a hoot.😉😁🖖🏼🤙🏼🌻
WHAT THE HEYL!!? 75% of the dialogue is in FRENCH!! And there are no subtitles or captioning!! Most of the time you're just sitting there, watching some YAY-HOO speaking FRENCH!!! Parlez-vous FRANCOIS???
Why does the Paris metro smell like shit? In fact, the streets of Paris smell no better, that with a very bitter population, I really don't see the appeal.
