Just FYI I'm from LA Ceiba where the carnaval was held. We haven't had one since covid hit so the mayor had just 3 months to organize it and prepare. It needs improving but he did his best. He has accept the constructive criticism and plans to be even better next year. Hope you folks come and enjoy!

I'm glad they're keeping up with the traditions. It looks a little crazy when the public invades the marchers space and slow their pace. But it's my observation from the distance. Love my Honduran friends and they way the party.

Hello, to be fair, the new Mayor took office in mid January, there was a bit of a wait for the Health Minister to give clearance due to the Covid cases, so he didn't have that much time, sponsors to prepare, after 2 years he and those involved did their best. We are pleased to see the delegates from Cayman Islands, New Orleans and from other cities in Honduras come, tourists national and international come over. Hope next year you will be able to come and it be better.

not until you go to panama Carnival you cant just say one is better. what i will say is that panama carnival is 4 days straight day and night. you can check the schedule usually run in February, March time.

@@beanz25ful now that's more like it, because i have never heard of a carnival for one day. all carnivals would start on either a Wednesday Thursday or a Friday and it would go until the middle of the next week, and i have seen in Caribbean countries one day the second to last or the last day is where everything is happening.
@@bud71261 La ceiba's carnival lasts almost one week, like 5 or 6 days, first the city starts small carnivals during many areas in the city, and we have to mention that La Ceiba brings attractions, decorates a lot of the city's streets and leaves them like that for a lot of time, and brings a lot of singers of different places of the country and of the region to perform after the day ends and nightlife starts to make people stay there until the sunrise, unfortunately this year rained a lot during night and many people left early

That carnival is garbage I attended it a few years ago . It was full of thiefs and is hard to move around also people throwing glass bottles of beer into the crowd.

Yeah that's a crappy carnival.
In this year the only problema was people who threw beer into the street, because in each corner there were 10 police officers and 5 militars protecting the street, so there was a lot of security, the biggest problem of course was the people who crossed the streets when someone or something passed, I'm from La Ceiba but from all the carnivals I've experienced, this one is not that bad after the pandemic, but it had many things that could've been improved, I hope next year there's more effort on it

The pandemic made La Ceiba's biggest income (tourism) to decrease, so with a low amount of money La Ceiba still made the basic things needed in a carnival to make people hapy after the pandemic, so we don't have to think of very specific stuff, maybe next year there'll be something better
