Season ticket holder for 11 years. We canceled our Tix at the start of last season. Cannot take mediocre football anymore. This is what UCLA comes down to:
We were supposed to go to tonight’s game for the last couple weeks. Club level seats with the perks. I watched last weeks game and saw everything we hate about this program and Chip. next day we changed our plans and used all that money to buy season passes to Knotts and went all day Saturday. Not once did we even check our phones for this terrible game. Guess what? We had 1,000 X more fun there than we would at the Rose Bowl watching average-crap football. And we will probably do the same every time Chip rolls out as HC of UCLA fototball
Watching Kelly post game appearance with his careless attitude, is bothersome. He knows he isn’t going to be fired & he acts like it. I can’t watch the bruins any longer. And they are going to be eaten up by big 10 opponents. Bruins are going from mediocre to unacceptable.
I can't, I can't go to anymore Ucla football games, which I've been doing for 40 years, , where Chip looks like he doesn't give a damn. No fire, No energy, no adjustments. I said last Arizona game 2022 where they Blew away a conference title game, and perhaps a CFP appearance to a lowly Arizona team.

Zach I was at the game! I haven't been to Bruin game since 2001! I work on weekends and took this Saturday off to go to this game with my nephew, an ASU alumni. This was by far the worst Bruin game I have ever witnessed! Absolute crap! At the very least I was happy for my nephew who is also an army veteran. The Chip Kelly era is over! Fire away!!
Man, this was my one and only game of the season going to a UCLA game. I used to be a season ticket holder since 2005, and this past game is definitely one of the worst games I’ve been to. The only other game that I can remember being this bad was the game against SC 60-0. 🤦♂️
The funniest part about the UCLA season is that they had, far and away, the easiest schedule in the PAC 12

Chip's track record is not only worst among recent coaches, he's done it with the WEAKEST schedule. His lack of attention to recruiting, to exciting the fan base, to fundraising for NIL and donor base is a dereliction of duty. Get a coach that understands what it means to be a coach in the modern era. A coach doesn't just teach football. He creates a product that peopl will want to watch and support. Half empty Rose Bowls are a direct reflection of Kelly's effort.
Karl Dorrell, Jim Mora, Rick effin Nuehiesal, The gardner , could have devised a better offensive scheme than Chip Kelly did last night. Especially the couple of times in the red zone where it was 4th and 1. Something really stinks in Wasserman. Idk what's going on in Chip Kelly's head, but something reallyy stinks. He cannot be this incompetent. The "offensive genius ", the Oregon guru. Something reelee stinks.
I had plans to go to game last nite.
But canceled and spent my time @ money elsewhere.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for 12 + years. I stopped going to games after WSU game. I saw the writing on the walls and saw this coming. Fire Chip he is out of touch of the fans, players and ucla community
Iv been a ticket holder since 1990 ! this was the worst game ive ever witnessed by a UCLA team.And ive seen a lot of heartbreating games particularly against SC but this was the most "irritating" loss I can remember.
I think Martin Jarmond brought in D'Anton Lynn to be the future UCLA head coach.
I think you underestimate ASU. Their defense had been well-ranked which kept them in a few games and their offense, arguably the worst, won a big win against WSU. What you're doing is leading a bunch of in-fighting, which UC is known to do from time to time, and it comes down to the fact you don't always play well with others.
Honestly UCLA has been a mediocre program for so long might as well let him coach next year and save the money of paying him to go. I have been waiting for UCLA to become a real program that can compete for the college playoffs but at this point I don’t think it will ever happen. I have lost all hope of ever having a real football program at UCLA
I hear you. But the day I lose hope in the football program is the day I will no longer pay attention to our games. So I’m hopeful that the AD will fire Chip and get us a good coach. 🤞

I honestly don’t know what the answer is and think we’re so far behind the power curve especially moving into the Big Ten next year. We’re in a pretty bad position.
Thought my frustration would end by Sunday night but no, even madder now as this frustrating game auto replays in my head over and over. 2 weeks ago Fafita for AZ trusted to throw the ball and let his two WR’s make big plays to win that game. Why did Chip get Sturdevant, Kyle Ford and Matevao? They never make plays for these guys, the ball is never thrown to them to trust them to pull down passes just due to their size. Do I see them hitting the portal once this nightmare season finishes, absolutely yes, why would they stay? Dante Moore included, he has a better chance with plays to make him shine in Eugene than under Chip Kelly who’s totally lost any innovation he once had…

If you don't think a research institution like University of Arizona has academic standards, I feel sorry for you. Look who UC and Stanford is graduating: Mayorkas, Granholm & the ever-loving ESG-DEI Fink, who wants to inflate SFR funds with a wall street balance sheet? Paffrath who wants to bring California water from, wait for it, the Mississippi? And, then there's Stanford's Holmes from Theranos that never worked and Stanford Law School Faculty descendant SBF who's parents should go to jail, too, as co-conspirators. Do I need to get into USC and all their scheming over the years? California is so mismanaged with UC grads & UC agendas that don't care about a good product, it is ruining the State's reputation. It is all about money to some and there is 'dumb, stupid money' like never before, including Conference re-alignment & gambling legalization, IMO. Tyler Campbell's 'Marley Dope-Do' (now on Dante Moore) says it all for the direction UCLA has been tolerating to get their athletes but, with all the dope legalized in the State now, it is just another standard UCLA is willing to lower to reflect the overall 'Sanctuary Garbage' in the State. To be fair, it isn't only at UCLA but it is coming home to roost. Why go to UCLA or UC Berkeley for some undergrad requirements and leave after a couple years or, better yet, get a degree in 'underwater basket weaving' so you can play on a team?
Added comment: John down below speculates that Chipster *wants* to get canned. Approximately per the contract got an $8 million riding on this if he gets his asss canned before December _something_ and $4 million afterwards. If Martin Jarmond wants to wait until the $4 million buyout kicks in then he's tampering with hiring deadlines, recruiting, and and "transitioning" to the Big Ten. Basically, Chipster's lawyers played Jarmond and got him by the short and curlies on that extension.
By the way, why'd they give the Ol' Woodchipper the extension anyway? About one year ago, UCLA fumed up the AZ Mildcats' stadium with an *almost identical* stink bomb and folks were calling for his head! I'm beginning to think that Jarmond is an idiot!
AD's do it for recruiting. If your head coach doesn't have the big buyout he's a lame duck coach and it turns off the recruits.

Chip is 33-33 at UCLA. Bruins have been an average football program since the departure of Terry Donahue. For real here, no top tier coach is coming to Westwood.
Why not? Other then the attitude of the administrators towards the football program, and the money that UCLA is going to get from the BiG 10, why can’t we? With the money that UCLA will soon get, what does USC have that UCLA doesn’t? I disagree. I think UCLA has all the makings of being a great football program. Just need the right HC, which of course is easier said than done.

Thx for blowing up the conference guys, have some more payback. Just think, a year from now UCLA will likely have a new coach, be in rebuild mode, and instead of dropping games to a nearby rival like ASU - they'll be crossing multiple time zones just so that they can lose to Rutgers instead. Thoroughly enjoying the UCLA (and SC) tailspin.
Kelly had lost what it takes before he was hired by UCLA. Definitely should be fired now. Problem is UCLA always waits too long to take action.
NGL if you went to that game expecting to win the clown mask is on you. They don’t have a quarterback who can throw and their O Line has been awful all season. They should have started chase griffin though because at least he can throw

Then promote Neuheisel to be the replacement down the line to keep the system going if it's successful.. You dont want to start out as a first time head coach with an OC with zero OC experience.

Right on !!!!!! I remember that game It was peutride. UCLA was undefeated and ranked number #1 in the country.nTen years earlier UCLA played oregon state and all UCLA had to was beat OSU to clinch a share of the Pac ten title and had USC lost to Stanford then UCLA would have gone to the ROSE BOWL. They lost to OSU 15 to 13. UCLA tends to do this.

Get real. The 4 consecutive fouls were all on ASU. UCLA had nothing to do with that. Our biggest problem was going 0-4 on fourth down and not kicking a chip shot FG. Dante prob wants to retain his red shirt year and not play in another game so he can bolt. Prob realizes we have perennially THE worst OL and its not gonna get better.
Ucla has no kicker. Chip failed to recruit a decent one. You think the kicker would of made a field goal?
Dante has already appeared in more than 4 games. His redshirt is already gone.
Honestly, with what I’ve seen, I’d let Dante go. Flat footed, nonchalant, and quickly put his head down. Forget his skill set, those three things I mentioned are enough to suggest UCLA would be okay letting him move on.

@@TryingToDoBetter01U provide some valid observations. But he is head and shoulders much better than DTR, for example at this stage. He does throw a great deep ball (assuming we had any real "go" receivers) but is not very nimble in the pocket, can't run and doesn't roll out. Any QB in the country would be crazy to come to UCLA who consistently has one of the worst OL in CFB. They can't pass pro, pull or root anyone out of the hole on short yardage plays inside.

I was worried about the football program as soon as I found out that Chip wasn’t going to run the same spread offense he ran at Oregon. Every year things looked to be grimier and grimier. I was calling to fire Chip since last year.

We have two elite wideouts in sturdivant and Ford not to mention Loya but we cant get a QB to pass it to them without passing attack the run is doomed. I think 🤔 a great coach will be the ex coach of standford shaw, great running the ball coach, who took standford to a lot of titles!
Heck no! Shaw was not a “great” coach. He was not even a good coach. It was Jim Harbaugh that took Stanford to great heights. Shaw was left with a great program and it just started going down hill from there on. Shaw had a few years of good football thanks to Harbaugh’s players.
