Restoring an outboard

Today I’m going to take you through what I do when restoring an outboard. The subject of the video is the older of my two Johnson outboards, the GT20. In Part 1 we will be focusing primarily on the upper cowling and I’ll give you all details on what I have also done prior to the video, regarding the midsection. Enjoy!

Yeah I will admit, I probably should be wearing a dust mask 😐, but I will always paint either outside, or in a well ventilated area like in this case, where the breeze blows the fumes away.
