Henry of Skalitz Gets His Very Own Castle in Pribyslavitz - Kingdom Come Deliverance

- In this video, i take a look at quite possibly my favorite mod yet added to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, that being Henry's Castle at Pribyslavits by mod author Ethan Brossard.
DESCRIPTION: "I added a castle to Pribyslavits, because although a castle existing in a small hamlet like Pribyslavits isn't the most realistic, made more so by Henry being a bastard, Having your own castle is cool, right?
At its current state, consider this mod an early first version, or even just a beta. There are still a lot of things to be worked out, and the castle is far from finished. It uses the base castle from Talmberg, but I've been working on giving it its own interior. The interior is not quite finished yet though, I've only furnished the rooms of the main keep. "
Installing the mod:
Unzip the folder and drag its contents into your mod folder, just like any other mod. The file path should be Kingdom Come Deliverance\mods\castle_pribyslavits\data\Levels
ataje\level.pak.
Compatibility:
This mod requires the From the Ashes DLC. Without that, you will obviously not get the town, and probably not the castle either, as the castle is nested inside the From the Ashes layers. I don't think I used any items from other DLCs, but if you notice one, please tell me! This mod will not work with any other mods that modify the level, such as antoineagathinos' Castles of Bohemia mod. It should work with all item mods though.

they could add it in as a small wooden castle, it would be true to history and more realistic to the size of the settlement.
I hoped that the townhall upgrade would turn the townhall into a rattay-like townhall :/ BUT THIS IS BETTER!
A castle is a much better upgrade than even a cool rathaus.
It’d be cool if you can fill the castle up with soldiers and other NPCs and actually give orders
And then take out Sir Divish and conquer Talmberg and the rest of the map. Those fat cats have reigned for long enough...
Go full mount and blade style, and conquer the whole map to bring it under your enlightened rule. Perhaps make your own lords for Rattay, Skalitz, and Talmberg.

I love it, and i have been playing around with the architect mod as well, i think i could make some really cool stuff with it.
This one if very cool. Despite not being historically accurate. I always wanted the ability to have a castle here.
Yeah, it screws up the historical accuracy a bit, but i love it.

The views from this castle have to be better than the ones from Talmberg. I really like this courtyard too. I always thought that Talmberg needed more vegetation, and this mod does that very well! As always, good video.
I agree, i think the wooded views off the back, and the sloping view over the village are awesome. I also agree about the vegetation in the courtyard.

I wish but it heard it took many years like 25 or more to build a stone castle in medieval times. Infact if your curious in France some people are building a medieval castle with medieval tactics look it up. In henrys situation id guess it would be a wooden one.

As much as I love this mod I would prefer it as a dlc and make pribyslavits a massive town like kuttenberg with 2 castles either side of the town (so a bigger version of Rattay) I would also like that you can customise your soldiers, send them out on missions and join them. I would also be cool if you got attacked by rival lords and bandits and cumans and if you could counter attack them
I mean, yes that would be very cool. It also sounds rather difficult. And given how much Rattay drops the framerate, imagine what that would do. If we were getting a Kuttenberg DLC, i would rather it was a whole new location, perhaps Kuttenberg.

Berry cool Ideas. But A hard for an modder to do an B not realy historical accurate. At this point of the Game Henry is more or less just a peasant and if I am remember rigth only the King can give Henry land or the rigth to have a castle. And tbh i love FtA but like it was the building process was much to fast in the game. To develop a City bigger than Rattay which can rival Kuttenberg would be very unbelievable in context of the timespan the game plays.
i also wish you could make your own waffenrock and put the boar on it

I agree with you very much, this game desperately needs mods like you said, to display stuff etc and we need NPCs to man our mod dlc castles!
But looking around the nexus page it does not look to good at the moment. Any modding heroes out there that could make this game as awesome as it should be?
I am really hoping people are working on it. The silver lining of this quarantine could be some awesome mods getting worked on.
Holdfast. The concept y'all are missing is a *holdfast*. More than a rathaus, less than a castle, holdfast.
Hmm maybe if there's a dlc or a sequal where Henry gets knighted a castle like this would be obtainable but the location would need to be just a tiny bit better for defencability.
Not that cool in my eyes because it's the same castle than in Talmberg, I thought it would be a new castle for Henry.

The Rathaus is a very major problem. In terms of location, that is a Godsend for invading siegers cause of how close it is to the walls, and it blocks a lot of the view on that wall down into the town itself
thats really cool and needed, but itll be better if autor made castle somewhere between rattay and sazava, mb near forest western from ledechko, or in fields south-eastern thatllbe small, like just donjon, with bedroom on second floor, and like storage on lower one, small unpaved area with few houses with the most needed things like smithy and church, and may be Theresa somewhere there, mb few guards in custom cloth, or in skalitz colours. It will be cool

Agreed. I also play dayz and seeing them "implement" a form of modding was quite interesting. And than i just began hoping KCD could do it, optimistic thinking ofc 😅 but yeah if next gen could do it than all smiles from here 😅

I always thought that Talmburg was waaaay too small for the rank Sir Divish has, Skalitz is even bigger and indicates that Sir Razig is of higher rank which he isnt
To attract the wealthiest and most powerful I’d build a large lavish fortified brothel with gardens, baths and courtyards. There would be like 12 girls representing each European region plus a Chinese, Persian, African and Ottoman add in a few boys and young men for special clients, perhaps a beautiful amorphrodite thrown in. The town would become wealthy beyond belief within a half century and eventually develop into a cathedral town constructed of stone with fortifications.

Keeping more distance from your mic would cut down on the feedback and occasional reverb we’re all hearing
I see simple problem with position of castle. The building below is blocking the vision downwards if an enemy approaches from that side as well as trees nearby should be cut down or at least put extended watchtowers and palisades to slow down enemies from that side. Another thing, the ground below falling bridge is not straight, come on.

90% of Those books would be ledgers for keeping all records of the castle. Ledgers are large books. Modern scholarship shows that during the middle ages , especially in the Italian peninsula because of the massive wealth of the non nobility, literacy was well above 70% of the poor and rich alike. ( this is before the black death).

Also, a lacklustre mod. The castle is nearly a complete duplicate of Talmberg. Where’s the creative originality? It would deserve more recognition if the author had actually made some effort of his own

Good work, im not modder, but i would like to see game like witcher, or skyrim or kingdom like mount and blade.
