    Pardon my ignorance, but does this have something to do with cloud seeding? What substance is used as the seed? Thanks.

      Seeding is a method used to initiate crystallization by manually adding solute crystals to a supersaturated solution. A seed simply refers to the crystals of the solute. For example, the first case study was seeded with the desired solute (compound A: an active pharmaceutical ingredient).
