- This video is not mine, the original uploader was terminated and I had this saved on my hard drive (in case of deletion, guess I had the right idea).
Here's my playlist with the rest of the available episodes: bit.ly/3aqtcLC
All the 5 aired episodes are already found, but this version of the pilot had stereo audio and slightly better picture quality so I still wanted to share.
UPDATE: I've finally posted all the videos I have of this show on the Internet Archive! check it out: bit.ly/39qFp5V
This show had a lot of potential, honestly.
Completely agree
Potential, but horribly executed.
No it didn't.
It could have had a lot of potential if they hadn't have glossed over the casting so much. The casting and the story is the weak link here. All the other important pieces are very strong IMO
It would've done better on HBO with cursing.
Seinfeld was a juggernaut and so was George Costanza. I think people saw George and JA was typecast. It was three years off of the Seinfeld finale but burning hot in syndication. People wanted Georgie Boy. Bob did not stand a chance.
Need to give it a chance, after more than 20 years...
Well-said
There definitely are a few scenes where there is clearly too much going on at once, but otherwise it looks like a show I'd watch.
Still waiting on the 4K Blu-Ray re-release.

I'm sure we'll be waiting forever. I'm trying to like this, but it's just bad.
God, this comment is UNDERRATED
Thanks for uploading. Very promising sitcom but there’s no way they’d get away with most of the jokes today, sadly.
Agreed 💯!
Jason wanted to show that he could do something else besides George.
If this had been the George Costanza Show, it surely would have been successful, but Jason would have hated it.
Ironic.
He's coming off exactly like George in this.
Thats why it flopped. George isn't a character that can carry a whole half hour.
That is Babu
You are a bad man, a very baaad man ☝️
Thanks for sharing
Nice save, but you should really throw this up on the Internet Archive just to be doubly safe.
Good point, I go on there all the time but I’ve never bothered to make an account. If I do it, I’ll update the description and add a link.
Finally posted it on the Internet Archive, only took a year haha. Check the description!
I, on the other hand, liked Bob Patterson
This show was canceled after 5 episodes.
Yeah, due to poor ratings.
@@SkyownerRocks I know. Not that many people watched it.
I think they were going for gross out gags just off the side of nauseous.
They got it
I like it
..... I find it so odd that this show is connected to Star Trek thanks to Ira Steven Behr being exec producer and one of the writers.
This show and every show like this one is why Seinfeld and Curb are still relevant to this day, in other words, it's straight garbage. You try watching most sitcoms today and you'll eye-roll yourself into another dimension.
Friends, Fresh Prince In Bel Air, Martin, Blossom, the list is endless. Some of them have good episodes here and there but you can never sit through an entire season like you can do with Seinfeld or Curb. Larry David is a living legend whom truly embodies what it means to be a genius on so many levels.
ALF
There's too much George in Bob.
George is getting upset.
The Player it’s a Bad Show From 20th Century Columbia Television.
I love JA more than most people, but Christ alive this is a truly horrible sitcom
Adultswim would have bought this
No adult swim would had bought bob patterson it no animated
He must used glasses
So basically George is now a con-artist motivation speaker. I've watched 10 seconds and I hate it. Rework this as a traveling preacher and we might have something.
You can't help but compare it to Seinfeld. And yeah, I see a lot low-hanging fruit cheap jokes. "looks like I am giving him a Lewinski" really? "Carrying those jugs all day"... This is the difference between Seinfeld and a lot formulaic sitcoms. Jokes are much funnier when they live "in a community" and tie the show together. This show had too much reliance on short one-liners that died as soon as the joke ended - adding nothing to the plot.
13:37 babu
I honestly laughted more than once, this show is funny, but I cant shake off Costanza, Jason obviously struggle to as well, he has the same gimmicks.. this is what killed every seinfeld actor except Jerry who wasnt really into acting
Julia eventually recovered and in a spectacular way with Veep
This show is legitimately funny with great dialogue, but the story and casting are CRINGE and TIRED
Wayy too corny and all over the place
Horrible writing. Sad b/c Jason is a good actor.
But Jason wrote it.
Jay Scott Greenspan wrote it

@jockejocke1 the joke went over your head. It’s the same person, kid. Jason Alexander is his stage name.
But I wouldn’t expect you to know that.
@@AdolfTrumpler You wouldn't expect me to know that, huh? And calling me kid.
You're something else, I'll give you that.
Being offensive and rude for no reason, all I did was post the credits. Whatever. Try to treat people better.
Have a good life, bro
The side characters suck.
So sad that JA thinks he's an actor, when, in reality, like most "actors", he couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag to save his life.
All the BP character is, is a chubbier George Costanza from "Seinfeld" mixed with a little Larry Miller.
In other words, a tweaked JA personality.
As are all of the characters he's done in all of his work. They are all basically the same character, aka JA.
He was good as GC on 'S', but it doesn't translate to most other things. As his career has shown.
And the same with Jerry Seinfeld (particularly), Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Michael Richards.
The difference is, I will watch JL-D in anything. And somewhat also MR.
You realise Jason Alexander is an accomplished stage actor right?
@@reputablehype - That literally means nothing. He acts as himself in the roll, as usual, and we like it.
@Jump Rope City - At least I'm not you. So I am WAY ahead of the game.
JA doesn’t have much “range” but he’s an exceptional actor. The better the actor, the easier it looks ;)
PG JA was G on S, BP, & CYU. DYT? OK?
