Good thing she adjusted the camera. And showed why you don't mess with good women. Her insights are incredibly analytical, and she's an amazing shot! Love your channel, guys.
Despite the internet Kimber haters (most of which have no personal experience), I picked one of these up. The only other Kimber I’ve ever owned was an Ultra Carry many years ago that I didn’t like and sold. After two range trips, this pistol has become my favorite. The trigger, ergonomics, and features are amazing.
To be fair, many "Kimber haters" are that way due to how poor their steel-frame pistols have become. They still charge premium prices for their 1911s even though quality is nowhere near what you can get from Springfield and especially BUL at similar prices. The Mako is one of the few micro compacts that's fully ambidextrous, has a standard 1913 rail, and an optic cut, so I give Kimber full props for that. The only other one I know is the Canik MC9. And the Mako's top-covered ejection port should keep the optic rather clean from carbon and ejecta.
You guys are hilarious! We should definitely have an aluminum case sing-along. 😂 That Kimber is not something I need but it looks like a great gun. Another fine video GB.
The other difference is the tilt barrel does not "tilt" as much as the Browning designs offered because it has a lug inside the frame that holds the whole barrel group firm in place. Less flip,,easier follow up shots.
That's not quite how it works, the Bubits-Improved Browning Action still tilts the barrel, just not as much. I've explained this in my other Bubits-design gun reviews, but you're right, less mass shifting in hand results in less percieved recoil.
Excellent range day. Fantastic explanation and description in review. We enjoyed the interaction as well as the information. Appreciate the multiple areas of testing you provide in these videos. I have considered the Mako for my wife and one of my adult daughters is considering the Mako also. Thank you.
Thank you and welcome to the channel. If you like my format you'll be pleased to know that I've reviewed about 500 guns in this same format. No curated highlight or failure reels, just reality and equal treatment.
Perhaps the recoil feels stronger going straight back is because the barrel barely tips up, unlike the brownie action. Just saying. (I didn't read all of the comments so I apologize if someone else had said this.)
Graham - Tia would probably agree about the urinal cake smell if she hung out where there were urinals. Tia - Graham would probably agree about the Cherry Chapstick smell if he used those. Both - Don't mix up the two, as they aren't interchangeable.
@@GBGunsyes sir, totally rocked. Not for nothing, I know why you did it, but IMO your level of integrity did not require a reshoot on the practical accuracy. Was that a "OH no, Mr. Bill" reference I inferred?
So after watching both video series, which do you prefer or suggest? Kimber Mako R7 CC or the Canik Mete MC9L I’ve also been looking at the Springfield Echelon 4.0C but haven’t seen any videos from you one that one.

Thanks again for your reviews.....I always feel I'm getting complete honesty from you both,
I might have to rent this gun after watching this video.
Once again, nice review!
I do enjoy your wife’s input. You guys are doing awesome
It's really, really amazing. As a product inventor, I'm gleaning so much from her thoughts.

First time to your channel. Just watched both your videos on this gun. Great thorough review! Thank you for all of the information!

Thanks guys. Great job. Good info. God bless. Happy trails.
Wow! Great shooting. I've been looking at this pistol and getting more convinced on getting one.
@@RichardLorenz-t4y thank you
you two make a great couple brother.... always great content as well.
Great video. Love to see you two together. You can see the love and the fun you have and that’s awesome. Happy wife, happy life!
Great video, great shooting. Subscription earned.
Thanks for another great review
Can you review the Ermox/Fusion Firearms XP PRO that take Glock mag. It's a 4 inch double stack 1911.
Thanks again!
Mr Bill vibes on the spinner target “face.” 😂😂
Seems like a good step forward for Kimber. Hopefully.
Excellent video! Good energy, detailed and fun to watch. Would any polishing or gun grease smooth out the grandpa/rocking chair trigger?
The creak sounded to me like a spring being tensioned. If anything it may wear in with time
Got to shoot this at the range , and its snappy compared to my GX4carry and g19 ... Seems like a Hellcat feeling when I shot it
I only noticed maybe cause I had put 3-400 rds on gx4 carry g19 and sig320
About 16 years ago Kimber was known for quality, now not so much.
That ejection port won't throw brass into your red dot..!
Not a gun that I would be interested in buying but it seems like a solid offering.

Orange maybe but cherry is definitely a no go. 😂
I wasn't able to hear you when you said what distance,?
The little steel was about 22 yards, paper 7 yards, spinner about 12 yards
🤣🤣 ...sing along with me folks... 🤣🤣🤣 you guys are the coolest!!!
@@Zach-ov1cd have you seen the music video?

Thanks for sharing this video 😎 Both of you have a great weekend 😀🙏
I saw in another video that you found a holster for this gun. where did you find it?

Hows this compare to canik mc9L or shadow systems cr920xp(if ya shot it yet).
Wait what?.... Federal synthetic jacket? I didn't know such a thing existed. So is that non-lethal? If it is I totally would get that.

Guess I won't be using chapstick again, thanks
Does it take Glock mags? I'm tired of finding a unique great gun only to be held back searching for hard to find mags. ridiculous
I own 9 Kimber and they all have issues. Terrible company. I own every Glock version ever made besides the 18 and never had an issue
Do you own any Kimber striker fired pistols? Any thoughts on Canik?
Why get 7 of them then?
why do you own so many then
Kimber>>>>overpriced mediocre guns.
