But obsidian becomes distractive and logseq is to the point. Like obsidian has better graph view but honestly that is just useless after you write many notes it's just a toy
Amazing video! Thanks so much so sharing this. I've played with Logseq a few times over the past few months, but it is not very intuitive in it's current beta format. Your video got me up and running and a convert from Roam :).
Thanks for sharing this succinct and well organized video tutorial which highlight all the key functions that I need to know to start exploring Logsqe.
Brilliant video, well done Dario and Francesco for organising. I can definitely recommend the course for any user (new and old) of Logseq - it is a quality product and well worth the investment
An excellent video! Thank you, Francesco and Dario, for your generosity. Logseq presents interesting possibilities, and I'm going to co-run it with Obsidian to get to know it better. I was just thinking about a second vault the other day, so will set it up on Logseq to try it out in action.
the home button is only visible when you are not in the journal. Try searching for a page (ctrl/cmd-k), the moment you are on that other page the home button will appear. Cheers!
Is there a mod to specify parent\child\sibling hierarchical links. Also to be able to label and mark details in links? EG John and Jane have a child name Joe. Make a graph "sibling" link that shows John and Jane and "parent" links "above" Joe, then maybe John and Jane are divorced so you can mark the "sibling" marriage link as divorced with some details such as marriage and divorce dates. Another use example for hierarchical links is things that happened on a date could be shown as a child of that date, things that are planned to happen on a certain date can be shown as a parent of that date. Maybe eventually you could make queries say you were throwing are party you could say something like like; select all children of family AND friends.
Hi Francesco. Would like to know whether is it possible to have more than one folder. For example I would like one folder as "personal" and another as "office". I don't want to mixed all my personal items with the office items. So when I used Logseq, I can choose whether I want to work on my personal or office items at any one time. Is that possible?
I have one weird question for the people that've been using this for longer periods. Hasn't this memory-tool made you lasier or smth? Like, if I had this WONDERFUL tool that makes me able to recall every information in a few clicks, I would not HAVE to remember anything by myself anymore. If you want to prevent diseases like Alzheimer, you'll have to regulary use your own memory in a natural way yk? MAYBE I'm thinking to far now.. Had anyone noticed differences? F.e. in their daily short- or longterm memory-function? Positive or negative
How do you move a graph to a new directory? I shifted the directory and got this message. The directory /old/directory has been renamed or deleted, the editor will be disabled for this graph, you can unlink the graph" How to unlink and relink to new directory?
I think that LogSeq has a good layout but the problem I have with it is that there is no easy way to syncronise it between different laptops. Or is there?
Google Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud, Syncthing, ssh, rsync, webdav and on and on. All settings and information are stored in the folder you select. Obsidian is the same way if you don't want to pay for it's Sync functionality.
What i'd like to see is these kind of tools slowly replacing the windows explorer so i can get rid of folder structures and just locate files by tags etc... Although you can upload files it doesn't feel a 100% e.g. the buggy pdf viewer. I wonder if somebody has already used this are their 'knowledge database' with all the files attached? It would be great if the windows searchbar would connect to logseq so you can search in both your windows file systems and logseq with one singlebar.
Hi Dario: Can you use Logseq with Tiago Forte’s - PARA or CODE method! He uses folders, so I think this will be an issue. Please let me know & thank you
PARA method dosent mean you need to have folders as complusary. Using folders has become old concept. We have more advanced way of organizing files using the same concept of PARA without folders. We have advanced features in logseq like namespace which helps organizing pages and ideas without the need for folders.
Hi Yaaqoub. You can definitely use these methods by treating different pages as nodes as you would typically have used folders. (FYI I don't get notified for comments here 👍🏽)
We briefly saw the MD (markdown) files. I am concerned that the links between pages are not shown in those files. I believe that means the plain text markdown cannot be used with other markdown tools. So your data is locked into LogSeq.
I hope if there's an Arabic translation as Ahmed abo zaid said your Chanell is so useful but my English not really good to understand avry word you say so please provide the translation and Thank you
I try all the these new tools but in the end always go back to plain old "Notes" by apple. It's simple, reliable and I can access it anywhere. Sure u don't have all these features but u gotta compromise somewhere.
Starting to get a bit overwhelmed by all these new “note taking” apps. I eventually go back to good old paper and pen. Goodnotes takes care of everything else.
i really wish they didn't spilt concepts into meaningless divergences like #hashtags vs [[wikilinks]]. are they just trying to satisfy two different audiences? Is this some kind of bikeshed stalemate?
After staring blankly at the first journal page on Logseq I found this video and it's been the best 'get started' video I've come across. Kudos.
Thanks!
💯💯💯 So helpful! I didn't think I was going to sit down through a whole video 53 minutes but next thing I know, becoming a logseq expert Lol
42:55 This feature looks really exciting. Branch out and reconverge, that's how my brain works. 😍🤩
As a newbie of Logseq, it's so glad to see this video! Thanks
I feel like I prefer this to Obsidian, simply because of the simple layout, and how it's very powerful out of the box.
You can also use both together since they're both markdown editors.
@@tristen_grant No, that is markdown. This is org.
@@buddha6659 logseq support both

After trying all the note taking apps, this is the one. it is still very convoluted
Thank you Dario and Francesco. Just getting into Logseq as a writer and researcher. Very excited about the application and the ideas for workflows.
Thank you, Dario, so much value in this video. And Francesco for providing the framework.
Best video for Logseq newbies
Finally, it comes, good work!
Thank you for sharing this explanations with us. It's impressive and seems very powerful and at the same time intimidating.
Amazing video! Thanks so much so sharing this. I've played with Logseq a few times over the past few months, but it is not very intuitive in it's current beta format. Your video got me up and running and a convert from Roam :).
Holy crap, this is a cool piece of software. I can't wait to dig deeper. Great video 👍👍
Wow. Amazing both of you. Thanks so much!

Thank you Ed, pleasure.
Thanks Ed 🙏🏽
Thank you Ed, you're a good man.
really enjoyed the video and your way of explaining things. thanks so much! more videos to come I hope!
That is amazing, thank you for guiding❤
Thank you Dario and Francesco for the informative video on LogSeq. I found it very useful and learned a lot of new things about the topic
I really wonder if the hours that spent setting up such a complex instance of Logseq will ever be recovered in efficiency :))
Thank you for the useful video!

Francesco, that mic is the best thing I have seen today 😂🎤
Man, this is amazing!
thank youuuu :) Been using it alongside Syncthing but I never bothered to go past the basic 'notepad' esque functionality
Superb video - thank you
Wow thanks - great overview 🎉
33:15 In depth task management
Help me a lot. Thanks so much
Very insightful intro to Logseq, thank you 🙏🏼
so awesome thanks for everything put in this!
thank you for an amazing video
42:36 How did you get a plugin icon next to the home icon? I've got plugins but don't have this shortcut.
Really good app!! Amazing!! Are you the Creator?
Enjoying this very much :) A question - I don't see a HOME icon in either the app (Windows), or the web version as demonstrated in the video ?
the home button is only visible when you are not in the journal. Try searching for a page (ctrl/cmd-k), the moment you are on that other page the home button will appear. Cheers!
none of the "shift+.." commands seem to be working for me. like the shift+lm at 17:07 for example. any idea why this might be?

how do you instantly create brackets or mark something and then put it into square brackets? Doesn't work for me the same way I fear
At about 12:14 you added double square brackets around a word. How did you do that, it seemed to be a handy technique.
highlight a word and type two square brackets
@@krishuber603 Thanks.
Thank you very much, lovely video, helped me a lot to get familiar with an app

Ok. Sorry. I think I saw it already.
Can I ask how I sync my Logseq mobiles notes with my MacBook Air. My MacBook is only showing 1 journal entry

Very interesting app, but looks challenging to remember so many shortcuts and functions
Its not to difficult and its best to focus on a few that you'll use the most.
Shortcuts are everywhere in software! You decide to use them or not :)
It dawned on me watching this: Obsidian is for VIM brains and Logseq is for Emacs brains.
Wow…. I am surprised how powerful the Logseq can do. I need to think of how to migrate my Evernote to this platform…..

* [ ] doesn't work for a checkbox. neither does - [ ] or + [ ]
nvm it only works when doing a line break. not in a new block / single line block
How much is it?
It's completely free and open source!
note : logseq doesn't support in app player for opus files
comprehensive : handbook level guide

I'm going to keep saying "log-sek" no matter what the dev says.
Francesco - your mic a joke right‼️❓
😂 I’m sorting 👀
58 minute video? and no time-plan? seriously? Well, I'd better quicker read the original manual
Get a real keyboard instead of a laptop. =)
Did you steal that hair band from your girlfriend?
Thank you Dario 👍 Great tutorial!! Even as a Logseq user, I’m still learning new ways of using it to improve my productivity. 👍🦘
Thanks Ot 🙌🏽
