Also my favorite video because I'm a big collector of Sicilian ceramics (and Deruta too). Love the detail on some of these pieces. Thanks for the great work you and Alfred do!
Such magnificent colors, designs, styles - such creativity. All worthy of a museum - or someone's home! Indeed a wonderful episode. I had no idea bout the clay there and how special it is. Thanks for this marvelous tour of the ceramics!
Eszter Vajda I always leave that to you and Alfred, Eszter. All the videos you create are wonderful. I will say I am partial to the FOOD ones! Especially like to see you or you and Alfred making something wonderful. Watching your videos is like spending time with family. Thanks so much!
Great episode both of you! Just love Sicilian ceramics, I have my pine cone plus more and just love the beautiful artwork that is shown on them. Thank You !
Having visited the shops myself, I can say you are on the money, This is a most colorful part of Sicily. The steps in Caltagirone Eszter mentions came up in Joe Pistone's shop. I asked how you protect your designs from being used by others, are they patented ? He said, go visit the steps, our family's design was on step # 94 and placed there in 17th century :) All stunning and all gorgeous.. You won't find made in....China on the bottom :)

Peccato che ormai in tutta l'italia ci sono molti citta che hanno copiato le ceramiche di caltagirone (anche i cinesi ) quasi tutto e cinese
No in Caltagirone, Sciacca and Santo Stefano di Camastra they are artisan workers.
