- Bellissimo! This is Gennaro's personal recipe for a classic Italian chilled desert. Made with sponge fingers soaked in a liquor, delicious ricotta and sweet naughty things to drive you wild and filmed in beautiful Malta. January's nearly over.... go on - you've earned it!

Headache Mik That's good ! :-)) Molti italiani che vivono quasi da una vita fuori dall'Italia sono ormai diventati più americani, inglesi, australiani, ecc. Ma ve ne sono anche un sacco che sono rimasti molto italiani (come il tipo nel video) e battono anche quelli (come te !) che in Italia ci vivono da na vita. ;-)

I gave my mom that book for Christmas!
I normally use home-made limoncello to soak the biscuits. Delicious!
But sometimes I mix half milk, half rum (or bourbon), add some sugar and a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon, and soak the biscuits in that... very festive! Or add a bit of coffee for that tiramisu flavour... :D
Any combination of dry and candied fruits and nuts can be put into the ricotta mix. I love dry figs and candied lemon and orange peel in it. And pistachio. Lovely stuff!
The possibilities are endless!

Love this recipe, Chef!! It looks like a beautiful dessert for anytime, but I think I would make this on a Saturday morning and set it in the refrigerator for Sunday morning breakfast.
