It's so sad how Zeke helped Eren by trying to "save" him.

“Who do you think the enemy is?”
~Erwin Smith
To be fair, Eren wants to save the island. So technically Eren is Erwin's ally.
Erwin was already on s4
How is eren the enemy? Unless y'all didn't want him to do nothing then.
@@Devil-mn4tt bruv, no one is asking Eren to do nothing. But you don't commit genocide on the entire world unless you've exhausted all your options. Eren hadn't - he didn't do a partial rumbling on Marley or the Global Alliance and he didn't discriminantly target the Global Alliance's military bases. I get that he's doing this to ensure his friends survive but irl that isn't a justifiable reason for murdering ppl on this scale.
@@illegitimateotaku794 eren isnt doing this to save his friends , he’s doing this to end the whole cycle of hatred that keeps repeating itself over and over again. So it wont matter if he destroys Marley, In the future people will still have hatred towards Eldians. Thats the whole point of AoT!!!

Because the Character Designer from Death Note came in for today's ep.

Yeah
Mappa has killed it with the art in these last couple episodes. Even Grisha's breakdown. That was amazing with the camera pans and Grisha's facial expressions.
@@user-sn1hi7my7x Grisha's VA killing it once again
"grisha was never the bad guy, eren is a f*cking menace to society"
so true lol
Should be noted that Grisha is seeing everything through Eren's eyes. Basically, a third person perspective. I know they're calling Eren the villain, which arguably he is. However, AOT isn't Black and White. Only Grey. Depending on one's point of view, Eren could be considered the hero or a villain. I was still team Eren after this and always will be. Do I approve of what he did? Not necessarily. But I believe he chose the path that lead to his friends living fulfilling lives.

Zeke: I'll show you how Grisha brainwashed you, Eren.
Eren: Aaaand that's where you went wrong bro
LMAO 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Eren: you meaaaaaan i brainwashed my father
To avoid confusion. Grisha didn't see Eren whispering to him. Instead, Grisha saw himself whispering to him, it was like a bad thought motivating you to do something bad.
Bot he knew that this is pov of Eren, he knew who is motivated him , he said later t, is this what you wanted Eren?
@@user-ds5ky3of4x
That doesn’t mean he saw Eren. He was looking through Eren’s eyes, so he could only see himself and the surrounding environment. He just knew it was Eren because, well, who else could Grisha really pass the Founding Attack Titan too.
@@legendarygodzilla14 yeah i said the same man 🤷
@@legendarygodzilla14 Also, Zeke and him talked. Grisha basically heard the child he was raising being a stone-cold killer. Note how he goes back and hugs baby Eren as if wishing the bad thoughts (Eren and Zeke watching him) away.

Eren when the first story started made us think he's the protagonist but he is really the antagonist
.
I saw in chrunchyroll that EREN got nominated on both best Protagonist and Antagonist.......
eren is just a protagonist not an antagonist they are not like hero or villain
Yeah man....eren is just a god in aot
He is the protagonist not antagonist, a protagonist can be evil
@@mybestfriendisaduck7992 Let just accept the fact that he is both, he is the main character in season 1,2,3 and the Final Boss in season 4.
@@mybestfriendisaduck7992 in my opinion, he is both, because in S4 we started from Marley's pov, Reiner's pov, Survey Corps' pov end everytime Eren got screentime, we dont really get what's in his head, we dont really get his pov like back in S1-3 (like what's on his mind etc, u know, anime thing when they talk to themselves to give audience explanation) therefore Chars like Survey Corps and others become protagonist because S4 is from their pov and Eren is Antagonist. Just like Avenger Infinity War, we see the story from Thanos pov. Ofc this is just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong
So in order to avoid any confusion regarding the time travel mechanics, I will break down what type of Time travel we're dealing with here. AOT operates by a particular type of time travel where it's almost impossible to change the past even if you somehow go back in time. And any change that you tried to cause was always meant to happen in the overall timeline. Here time is a fixed circle, not a stream. We may see Eren meddle in the past but that was always meant to happen. This calls into the question of the existence of free will in the world of Attack of Titan. The Attack Titan's ability is to receive the memories of its future inheritors. This was hinted when Kruger mentioned Mikasa and Armin towards the end of S3. Keep in mind, they can only view these memories but can't interact with them. So how was Eren able to meddle in the past? Well, he had 3 perfect conditions: 1. He had the ability of the Attack Titan 2. The ability of the Founding Titan 3. He was also in contact with someone with royal blood AKA Zeke. After Zeke tapped Eren's head, they were able to view Grisha's past memories with Eren using the power of the coordinate. They were freely able to view the past as if it were through a one way mirror. Now if Eren had any other Titan other than the Attack Titan, he would only be able to look. But since Attack Titan can see forward in time, Grisha can use this to see Eren's recollection of the same event that he's currently experiencing in real time. So this mean that whenever Grisha can see or hear Eren, he's actually recieving a brief future memory from Eren's POV where he can see out of his eyes and hear his words. That means he is seeing himself from a 3rd perspective. Then if he responds, his response is simply part of the memory that Eren/Zeke are viewing, allowing for a two way communication through time. Also Note that everytime, Grisha sees Zeke, Eren is always standing behind his dad. So whenever Grisha sees Zeke, it is from actually due to the memories from Eren's POV - not my original comment
so basically eren just show grisha some of future event (the collosal titan attack, liberio attack, n one big event ahead), then show him zeke n eren journey to the past, n convinced him with that little memories
@@kdemetria Pretty much.
Time travel is confusing to understand. Technically it doesn't exist as far as we know. But when a show or movie decides to use it, it will just short circuit your brain.
@@user-sn1hi7my7x Yea, time travel can get pretty confusing. Aot makes you think pretty hard about events that take place which is why I love it so much. It doesn't straight up tell you all the time whats happening and makes you piece together information.
@@vmonsoon7400 Highly agree with you

You know the anime is good when watchers are more hyped with the story telling than the fight scenes
The moment that Eren kissed Historian's hand he saw all the memories that would be sent to his father from his future self. Continuing that way to make sure the future stays on the same path. What's scary is that we only saw some of the memories that were sent. Eren, through Geisha, probably knows a lot more. I'm so excited.
Zeke: Let's make Eldian cannot breed anymore.
Eren: Hell Nah. 100% Rumbling
6:30 I love how Eren is technically affecting the past but at the same time he isn't because the events are set in stone, so he's actually doing exactly what he's supposed to. He's not "affecting" anything.
he just doing his part in the time stream
He searched freedom, to only find out that he was a slave to himself
That is debatable
well there's no kind of time travelling story without paradox, except multiverse

Always when it gets to the good part
This also explains why Greisha was so aggressive and deranged and why he wanted to transfer the titan so quickly when he found eren after the wall broke. My guy was fucked up💀
Nah, actually the opposite. That's one of the weakest points in the story, because it's a literal plothole.
Grisha goes from "I saw the horrible future after this, stop him, Zeke" and then he turns around and injects Eren with the titan serum? Really?
If you think too much about it, it's a glaring plothole that kinda derails everything, so best to just ignore that bit.
@@dowfreak7 Grisha got to know about his wife's death later on when he meets Eren after the wall broke.
@@dowfreak7 Not necessarily. Remember, Grisha only saw specific memories Eren let him see. It would have been very easy for Eren to show him just the right memories to let him convince himself that he still needed to pass him the titan.
Just as an example, it’s stated that Grisha never knew what happened to his wife. He might come to the conclusion that in order to save her, they needed Eren to have titan powers. After that, Zeke could stop him.
@@derpymule7977 I mean, sure, but I feel like the "Eren convinces him" thing doesn't work when we see a disheveled Grisha desperately begging Zeke to stop Eren...Presumably like half an hour before getting his suit fixed and then injecting Eren.
Also, didn't Eren specify he needed the Zeke connection to actually influence Grisha's decision-making in the past? Meaning the current memory trip is the last time Eren can access his dad's memories? Although I guess technically he can do it again, as he transforms (instantly) after that, but story-wise that's the only time we see him tampering with his dad.
@@dowfreak7 aot has an immutable timeline, which means every action is predetermined and the past or future cannot be altered. If youve seen steins gate, it follows a similar form of timeline. What grisha saw couldn't be changed regardless. In fact, later in the show Eren tries to change the future he saw but it resulted in the same outcome. You could see this as a plot convenience, but i think it makes a lot of sense given how grisha didn't know of his wife's death. Once he learns of that it reignites his motivation to pass down the attack titan to Eren.
That horrifying sobbing into full-on blast howling from Grisha might be the BEST voice acting I’ve ever heard
The VC is POPPING OFF 🔥🔥🔥
Then Grisha went home, found his Eren and was told the truth. He collapsed, done with it all. He was regretful but forceful in making him a pure titan for a reason before he died. He knew his son would grow to do terrible things.
That last guy, oh my god, pure gold comedic timing, i cant even breathe. XD
yeah I left him until the end on purpose
This is when I realized why Eren asked Sasha's last word and smiled when she died - to confirm if he's on the right path.
Omg ! This is insane
Btw guys, the producer for this episode is the guy who produced Death Note
Didn't the guy who directed Death Note, Direct AOT? Or was that just when Wit Studio was doing the show?
Key animator, not producer
Honest question?
Is there a difference between key animator and a producer?
The "sips manga juice "😂
Cant wait for next episode... That's really really crazy plot twist...
Every time Grisha va has his own screen time,im always at the edge of my seat.
Finally we reach to the twist. Reactors don't have to be right about the theory I bet most manga readers didn't get it on their first reading, either. I just enjoy watching people having the same reaction as me
That's why i like this anime ( and some other too), the strong point' or scene is not always the fight or just the animation but, a conversation or dialogue can have it too
Eren with that dominance at the end. The sheer magnitude of that T-pose.

Yes, Just one timeline
He didn't see Eren, he saw himself through Eren's eyes but heard his voice, heard his words. And through these words, Eren gave him the push to murder the Reiss.

And the good part is that this season gets more crazier from this point
7:56 for your free R2-D2 Scream lol
Everyone is saying "EREN CAN SEE THE FUTURE?!" which isn't necessarily true. GRISHA can see Erens future but Eren cannot see his own future. He could be getting glimpses into the next inheritor of the Attack Titan after him. But as of his seeing "the future" is not very accurate.
He did though. When he touched historias hand at the end of season 3. He saw everything. Because he had the attack titan AND the founding titan AND historias royal blood. If it was just the attack titan then yes youre right. Everything he is doing now has already been predetermined and he has seen it happen.
@@nejifps5814that's my thoughts thanks. Others can't understand what eren saw that moment in historia hand time. he actually see what going to happen in future and he knows... Bruh told u guys Eran is master mind of Aot zzz..🤐
@@princeborah3561 well not the complete mastermind. Him and Ymir. But yeah
4:42 kills me every time🤣
Dak's reaction at 7:55 got me good :D
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Am extra layer to the twist that I think most people fail to realize, if I understand it correctly, is that without Zeke putting Eren through these memories this never could've happened.
Eren unintentionally got a glimpse of his Father's memories before Grisha became the attack Titan, and as stated Attack Titans can see into the memories of future inheritors. But it's never been shown that they have their own physical existence within those memories, just that they're basically seeing them through the person's perspective. Zeke's power somehow allowed them to *physically manifest* and *move around* through the memories instead of just *experiencing* them.
This would seem to imply that if Zeke never took Eren down this trip physically, Eren would've never been able to interact with his Father and convince him to kill the Reiss family, therefore Grisha wouldn't have seen this memory of Eren seeing this memory and Grisha may not have gone through with the murders and the plot would've been entirely different.
Hopefully this makes sense the way I've worded it lol.
May sound mental, but makes perfect sense 👌
but what about that scene in wich Eren Kruger saw emotions about Armin and Mikasa, while he was talking with Grisha?
the last clip was literally my reaction😂😂
Bish 🤣

I advise everybody to go rewatch episode one and two right now lol
Or next week
What season?
first season episode 1,2,6 a lot of key foreshadowing points. if you'd like I will put an in-depth explanation on what we see. when Eren wakes up we see him see multiple points in the future its because future Eren with the power of the founder gave little Eren these memories then took them away from him causing him to think it was a dream and giving him a sense and taste of freedom. next we see Zeke staring at little Armin and mikasa across the st in the crowd when they see they wings of freedom returning from there scout. this is shown in the manga. then there is how Eren is always saving Armin and coming to his aid. then we see Grisha asking Eren why he wants to go outside of the walls and shows him the key. in are point of view we don't see grishas face but in all reality he's staring right at Eren in the doorway. we see Dina eat Carla but know this. in the future Eren holds the ability of the founder the full ability. so he can command any titan at will he then tells Dina to completely ignore berthold because her royal blood lust would have caused her to go after bertold so Eren makes her ignore him completely and go eat his own fucking mother in order to make his younger self want to crush everything in is path to get what he wants. know this he could have literals had Dina pick the entire rock up and save evens mother but his older self had to sacrifice his own mother to get his younger self that sense of resentment. then we see Eren saying he's going to crush every demon there is and slaughter every one of them. spoiler warning (this forshadowes Eren starting the rumbling and killing millions of lives in order to be free of this rotten world as he says in the first episode. there's way more on the first episode but I want to keep this short. in episode two we see that Eren is seeing his fathers memories due to the attack titan being able to see his future and past inheritors that's why he has a glimpse of what happens that night but can barely remember it thinking it was a dream of some sort. in the next few shots when arming brings the bred for Eren and mikasa to eat after they get into a fight with the scouts they go back into the hallway type area and there behind them you literally see evens older self watching them. same clothes. same black jacket. same black pants. same tan shirt. in episode 6 we see that Grisha is mad with Eren for risking his life this is because he knows his older self is so important he was scared he was going to die. but Eren literally says. I had to save mikasa to Grisha causing him to have a slight horrified grin on his face. this is because Krueger literally says these word to Grisha. you have to save mikasa Armin. I would go on more but this is already to much to read. have fun picking at this you guys !

Eren:Then I'll show you how I brainwashed our father into brainwashing us
9:55 had me💀🙏 13:17 “had that man T-posing on his aa” LMFAOOO💀🙏
Whats wild to me is thinking back to when Erin said "what my father did made me feel sick to my stomach." (something along those lines) The same face came up after he kissed Historias hand and again once Greisha tells Zeke to stop Eren. Was trying to stop Erin or warning Zeke what made Erin feel so sick to his stomach? Like betrayal?
Basically Grisha was seeing his own memories through the future Eren's eyes / memories to him, or the current Eren to us viewers. That's why Grisha saw Zeke even though Zeke was not physically there, because Eren was looking at Zeke. The part where Eren spoke to Grisha was not to change the past, it's making the past/present/future stay the same. The whole timeline of this show is FIXED and can't be change. Pretty easy to understand imo.
Eren T posing is literally the epitome he's standing there, *menacingly*

The level of SHOOK Zeke was at watching all that go down. it's the height of story telling
When you see people freaked out this much watching this episode, how mind-fucked did you think us manga readers felt all those years ago?
I think this is my favorite episode to see people react to in this season as of yet. Because regardless of where anyone falls on the whole ongoing Eren is right/Eren is wrong argument, the collective response to discovering that through time fuckery, the plucky shonen protagonist you've been following for 4 seasons is directly responsible for the massacre that essentially set the wheels of the entire series in motion, AND that they know whats coming next, AND that its TERRIBLE on a level worthy of a complete mental breakdown, is both internally and externally, an appropriate:
"😐oh....oh fuck....oh no....oh shit...😐"
😂😂😂
Like, I feel like the first 3 seasons of this show thrived on that feeling of fear and forbodding that came from the unknown; the mystery of the titans, the lack of information about the world "before them", that we had as viewers was shared with the characters we loved IN STORY, making it all the more terrifying. And that much more compelling. And then, we learned how the world worked. And for most of season 4 it just became the sad, brutal theatre of war, and the desire for some kind of satisfying resolution that drove us forward; kept us engaged. But this last part, at least for folks who have avoided the manga, brings that horror element right back in with a vengence. But its different this time. Because with each passing episode it dawns on you that the monster at the end of this story has been closer to you than ya thought this whole time. And maybe you've been on his side this whole time. And maybe you still are and you dont know wtf that says about you. And ya know things are gonna get bad, but you cant possibly fathom HOW bad. But he can. Cause he's seen it. And "everything is still ahead." 😬
Another thing to note:
Imagine seeing, within your minds eye, yourself from the third person and knowing for a fact its because someone is watching you. Imagine hearing them speak to you in your mind but never really seeing them. Then you go look at your kid and hear them talk about exploring the outside world, seeing and feeling the conviction behind there eyes; only to realize in horror how familiar it feels to the spectre haunting your "dreams" The one that tells you to murder children in cold blood. The one that shows you how the world ends but not whether anyone you love survives it. If through some miracle Grisha Yaeger could have lived past 13 years, could have ever made it back home to Liberio, dude would have ended up in a padded cell. Right next to his dad. 😐
Thing is I never saw Grisha as a bad guy. Dude simply gave a super power to his kid.
That *sips manga juice* killed me
Eren wrote the entire series rn
remember when the scouts first saw the ocean and eren was pointing somewhere asking if they'll kill everyone outside of paradis, will they be free? it would be awesome if he actually was talking to his future self, not mikasa and armin. but unfortunately he wasnt.
2:17 😂 the guy knows
i went back and re read volume 30 of AOT bc it has the corresponding chapters to these last 2 episodes & the next & i gotta say.. WOW Mappa is doing an AMAZING job animating this it’s near 1 for 1
Future Eren affected Mr Kreuger to give the attack titan to Grisha then Grisha to kid Eren. Fucking genius
i think the reason that eren was looking super mad was that he knew he had to say those words to his father and cant stop himself because it already happend and he cant change the past. Thats why he was looking so mad for no reason and stopped looking mad when he kneeled down to his father. Eren knew everything what was going to happen from the moment that he kissed histioria's hand and he knew he couldnt do a single shit about it.

I had to save mikasa to Grisha causing him to have a slight horrified grin on his face. this is because Krueger literally says these word to Grisha. you have to save mikasa Armin. I would go on more but this is already to much to read. have fun picking at this you guys !
Maybe you read the manga but according to current logic: The attack titan can see memories across all its successors, but Eren wouldn't be able to control Dina to eat Carla because at that time kid Eren didn't have the Attack Titan, the only possible way is that Grisha makes it happen through manipulation by Eren.
Erens main character status boosted after this season
Young Eren freeze frame face is significant because its the same still from when he kisses astoria's hand in the previous season. That's when he became fully omniscient.
“Eren’s T-posing on is ass right now”.
How did I never notice that 💀
I feel for the anime onlys who are going to absolutely hate the ending 😂We all had to go through that rollercoaster of "this is amazing" to "this is dog ass"
Here's what i thought about why Eren was able to talk to Grisha.
We all know by now that a current Attack Titan holder can see the memories of it's future holders. Eren and Grisha are the only two who holds the Attack Titan in this episode and it is also the reason why Eren could talk to Grisha.
Grisha saw that in the future, Eren will talk to him in the memories in the paths. So rather than seeing Eren right beside him IN his POV, He actually saw Eren's POV and that Eren talked to Grisha. We also know that Eren can actually limit the memories he can show to the past holders of the Attack Titan, so maybe Eren wasn't sending Grisha his memories at the times Grisha can't see them.
This also explains why Grisha can only see Zeke when Zeke in in Eren's sight. My English isn't very good but i hope you guys understand.
Also, they didn't change the past, it was actually meant to happen that Grisha will see future Eren and Zeke going in the paths memories.
I love how some of them have the video cut, zoomed, mirrored, transparent, and then some have just the full ep in big XD
Dude in the black Nike cap is locked in. Respect.
I love that 'sip manga juice' 😂
*sips manga juice* I died laughing when this popped up
I love how they all thought Eren wasn't a complete demon lmao Bro y'all should've known after he gave Armin those hands.
7:55 I felt that
Ironically the Attack titan’s power is what making him “not free”, as he can’t actually change anything with his own will,he only could do what he is supposed to be done(the future he saw)
That not the case. Eren can see the past and future. He saw the past but he also know the future. That's why Attack titan is called always fighting for freedom or sometimes freedom titan because the titan is not bound by time, fate, destiny etc. How he choose the future, how he choose the past is entirely on the attack titan user choices. That's why it is called the 2nd strongest titan after founding titan
I swear I’m never gonna be able to watch this show over the same ever again
I loooove that I’m not the only one that reacts this way😂😂.. I’m in love with this anime so sad it’s ending🤍❤️
