I was not very much aware of how much significant role the editing plays,
After your Raju Hirani's directorial analysis,i got a very new point of view,that so many things has to go on right way,for making a good good cinema.
That's why screenplay and editing is so important ... It's not about just story and script
Actor come act and go. Technical team especially editors sit in front of laptop for 6 months, watch same clips again and again and again to join and make whole movie with dubbing, music, songs. My god so difficult for them and they are paid in few thousand only when actors get crores😐
The thoughts of even syncing those things scares me .
I am a short movie maker and I really feel lazy during editing despite I like that thing
Isn't it a requirement for the screenwriter itself to sit beside the editor to actually see how he wants the scene to look like???
I mean is it let alone the editor's take to merge shots that create a significant part of screenplay?
I am an aspiring actor and I also work as an editor and cinematographer for the last 5 years. It's not like actors come act and go. Everyone does their best work for a film to be completed. In indie/student productions behind the camera cast gets far more money than actors because the film doesn't earn any money even if it does its certainly not because of actors' face value because they are unknown faces but when a big budget film is made it's relying on actor's face value for box office returns and very less on editor and cinematographer's work so that's why actors get more money. The one that ensures more money, gets more money. Simple. An actor can ruin everybody's best work through their bad performance or can cover up their bad work through good acting.

Editor is not really a technical job actually. They say half the story is made on the writers' desk and other half on editor's desk. The real job of editor starts very very early and it shapes the whole film from pre-production itself.

even though the idea behind this kind of thinking is genuine, i need to say that he's absolutely wrong. children with learning disabilities and other disabilities should definitely go to schools that are specially designed for them.
as the movie suggests, every child is different. so, yes, every child needs a different kind of care. some kids need special care and they should be able to learn with their peers who face the same difficulties as them. and that is completely okay. it does not make them any less normal from other kids who might not go to these special schools.
