As a child I seen a copy of this book among my mother's treasured things. It's followed me all through my life as that "peculiar" book of mothers. She, as the book, are gone now and I am in the autumn of my life. I have again come across this book here on RUclips dressed as an audiobook. I am listening now. I'm getting really cool goosebumps

Michael Knight .as a child I too found a copy of this book among my mothers most treasured articles. She offered it to me if I would read it and I did. That copy followed me through my life and many times it consoled me . Much of the book is retained in my mind because I read it so often it became my bible in a sense. And much to my well being .. And now I'm old and my mom is gone too. And the book I gave to my son long ago so that maybe for him it would be a beacon of light as it was for me. And like you I come across the book again. In audio.and I listen and smile at the thought of our mothers. And how they brought us together with the grace of God.

I’m in tears reading these comments, my mother is still here and I am reminded what an incredible and beautiful thing that is to say… I will cherish her
this book, a beautiful simple bound copy was among my aunt Sharons possessions, she had moved many times, so only had a few items that meant something, she was my aunt (my moms youngest sister) but she lived with us growing up, & was more like my big sister, mentor, & body guard, & could be counted on & would always tell you the truth.
she was going by in a car one time, her boyfriend driving, she slammed her foot over on the brake, jumped out of the passenger side to beat the ass of a bigger kid who was pushing me & my brother... cops were called, but we ended up meeting each other & becoming friends, the kids parents & my parents talked it out & us kids got along after that, even coming over to our house to play tetherball.🙏🏼💌💟🌱🐾👣🌿🕊️

I have listened to this since the 70’ in fact 1970 . It saved me mentally. Richard Harris was the narrator and had a beautiful voice .

Still have my doubts, but the experience I had when I saw The Prophet cover for first time was undeniable for me. A voice spoke aloud in my head (only time this happened) and said "This is you. This is you." Not trying to gain a single thing by saying this.

I always liked this book because of the way that he speaks of love and life, deep thoughts to make us mindful of our processes, but this go round, as I listened to him speak of laws, I thought that's not right. The book is titled the Prophet, and a prophet's mission is always to remind people of what is right. The Law is more than words on your forehead or a yoke around your neck, and we only think of the law in these terms when the wicked rule, but the purpose that a prophet serves is to overthrow and unseat the wicked and return the people to the law, which is supposed to be more like a Constitution, declaring liberty for the people in such a way that if followed would ensure that the wicked couldn't rule over them, because everything the wicked do is through division, confusion, opinion, suppression, bullying, undermining, and convincing the people that the law doesn't matter, only submission to them saves, then you can do whatever you want. The Law with the wicked only serves it's purpose in punishing those under them to ensure that they stay under them. The prophet restores the law that brings liberty to the people so that they can in turn uphold and pass down their way of being, having rights because they respect the rights of others and they live within the construct of the design. It is a choice that we all should make to be lawful people. It is our choice, not to embrace bondage, to guarantee liberty and justice for all. He was a smart man, and I wish I could have met him and shared with him what I know, because it matters most how you see the law.

The words of the blessing of Enoch, with which he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. And all will be smitten with fear and the Watchers will quake, and great fear and trembling will seize them unto the ends of the earth. And the high mountains will be shaken, and the high hills will be made low, and will melt like wax before the flame And the earth will be wholly rent in sunder, and all that is upon the earth will perish, and there will be a judgement upon all (men). But with the righteous He will make peace. And will protect the elect, and mercy will be upon them. And they will all belong to God, and they will be prospered, and they will all be blessed. And He will help them all, and light will appear unto them, and He will make peace with them. And, behold, He comes with tens of thousands of His holy ones to execute judgement upon all, and to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

Observe you everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. And You know all things before they come to pass, and You see these things and You do suffer them, and You do not say to us what we are to do them in regard to these."
Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spoke, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: "Go to Noah and tell him in my name 'Hide yourself and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth and will destroy all that is on it. And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world." And again, the Lord said to Raphael: "Bind Azazel hand and foot and cast him into the darkness and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there forever, and cover his face that he may not see light, And on the day of the great judgement he will be cast into the fire. And they heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that the secret may heal the plague, and that all the children and of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and earth have taught their sons. And the whole cam has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin. And to Gabriel said the Lord: "Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from among men [and cause them to go out]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in battle: for length of days will they not have.
