I am about as straight as a person can be, but I have claustrophobia...which I know is a mental weakness. If someone says to me that it is a mental weakness and it can be overcome...I agree and I am doing my best to face my fear. Having said all of that...I believe with no reservation that many of these people aren't gay at all but found being in a homosexual or lesbian relationship helped them deal with their mental illness. Some probably did it because it was the cool thing to do amongst the people they are around. What is curious is that so many don't regard themselves as having a mental illness because they feel that they would be looked down upon. That is true to a certain extent. I don't look down on anybody with a mental illness, but I do look down upon those who do it just because it is exciting, and they want to push it on others. I wish all of them happiness and hope they can get the help they need.
