I wish they have increased the pop cap I’m kinda tired of the all the series being the same. But everything else they have revamped and added is amazing.
This is a great remake, but I would like to see more sophisticated / realistic resource management in future. For example, breeding sheep/cattle; replanting forestry or drought will affect farming. I think plonking gold or stone deposits in the middle of nowhere looks a bit silly too, put them near a mountain or escarpment. Still looks really fun to play though.
at the least an underground mine you can garrison your villager inside of it at the cost of all of them dying if an enemy torches your mine from underground collapse
Game looks lovely. Pretty much the same gameplay as other Age of Empires. But the things I wish they had included: 1. Hero units; 2. More population (common 200 ain't fun); 3. More diverse civilizations. (Just 8? I'm sure they are gonna bring expansions with 2 or 3 civilizations eventually, but to begin with, would have loved at least 15 to 16 civilizations to choose from).
Seems the AI is very weak. It looks like the AI of age of empire 3. I m afraid they will just give it buff, like more resources at the beginning and not real intelligence. That's a real shame. Thank you for the video.
As i said map is WAY WAY TO SMALL.WE NEED BIG/HUGE MAP OTIONS WHERE WE CAN PUT LIKE 4-8 PPL/AIs AND STILL HAVE SPACE bewteen each other and not be like right next to each other.
Are there certain factions in this game that are simply better than other ones? I want to stick with Holy Roman Empire but worry about imbalances between factions.
Man sucks that they put the mas pop cap to 200 again, like shouldn't modern PCs be able to easily handle over 200 pop per player, it may have been a problem in 2005 but isn't in 2021 lol (btw in AOE3 The warchiefs if you max the pop with houses and do the pop increase dance with full fire pit it goes up to 225)
I have a MacBook since I teach overseas but I want to relive my childhood and play this so bad… might have to buy a cheaper laptop just to play this 😭 Keep the vids coming 🤘🏼
It runs on everything low on an integrated HD620 GPU so if it’s just about being able to play nearly anything will do. Might work with something like Parallels maybe?
Well they work on a system of generating supplies, and if you can consistently sell them throughout the game you will have a good gold advantage. I dont understand the system fully though. And never got to test it in stress test :(
That’s because the ai doesn’t rush like an actual person would. Also it’s very easy to kill their resources with the early rush and slow it down a lot.. send five archers at the gold vills and instead of the AI just bringing an army to deal with it the AI will take everybody off of gold 😂😂😂
I can cry so, so soo hard. Tell me, why is it SO HARD to add a ROTATE BUILDING OPTION !?!?!? My god !! ANY (!!!!!) city kinda builder needs that option, is that so much to ask ? T_T
@@enensis The simulation is doing a lot of work on the CPU. I bet increasing the unit count would buckle most CPUs, let alone going as low on the requirements as they do. But certainly, having larger armies would be fun - but I don't think raising the UNIT COUNT would necessarily make a better game. IMO of course

It will have mod support next year and I’m sure someone will add more pop in
@@Kaloo10448 I meant Vanilla mode, I want it official.
I agree on pop. Cap., Other than that the game is amazing.
@@DrAtomics yeah its 2021 at the bare minimum seperate economic pop cap from miltary/naval cap

Anymore complicated and it becomes impossible to manage. Players only have so much APM to spare.

bro this is aoe, not civs or total war or eu
Zoom distance seems like a potential problem.
Playing it over the last few days.. it does feel way too close.
I would like to see a special unit that is able to navigate thru the forest. As it is now, the forest IS a wall.
Aren’t you able to build rams with infantry out on the field? I feel they could have been handy.

Yeah they're definitely saving some civs for expansions

You definitely should of produced a couple of rams to finish this earlier
that bell is giving me ptsd already
How do you guys think this would run on steam deck while docked?
I think up to 4 players stram deck will be fine. I have a PC which has similar stats, and that's my experience.
They need no pop cap. Also, will this game have to have Win 11 to play?
what the fuck is happening at 19:40
i had no idea you could do that lol
youre a god thx for the strats
13:47 Ah! A Wulf
Is it true that houses don't work anymore as a wall?
Not true.
They cant make a solid wall, but they do funnel units.
There will be a small gap between the houses if you place them side by side. It's not like aoe2, where you have to walk around or destroy them.
They dont. They have small gaps between all buildings so you actually have to build walls

They try to balance them so all are equally viable. So far they are all pretty balanced, but abassid dynasty was just a bit stronger than others
chinese building 100% faster is so realistic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hard in Age of Empires is not as hard as the annoying Miss Hunt in Anno1800.
Good gameplay
how many hours u played older aoe games?
best defense is good offense
and what about healing your troops! I build towers or monks do heal.
20 years later, graphic improved, AI not so much

The army aspect looks rubbish. Attack a city with like 20 people. So lame you want to have 5000 soldiers at least and loads of siege machines.
This isn't total war. It is what it is. Different type of game.
