    If you're just doing a 2 or 3 hour flight, you can tough it out in cattle-class.

    Hello and thank you for the video. My Husband and I are headed to Thailand (24-32hrs) from Norfolk VA. I have been concerned about the lack of leg room and size of the seats. My hubby and I are tall and plus size. Is there room to walk around the plane? Also, we were thinking of flying there business and premium eco for return. Do you think premium eco would be nice size for 6 feet tall people. I really would like to save money? Again, great video!

    • @TravelwithNJSteveandSue
      @TravelwithNJSteveandSue  5 месяцев назад

      Hello, they packed these seats in pretty close and seem to discourage people from walking around the plane and only want them to get up if they have to go to the bathroom I think your idea of going over in business and coming back in premium economy is a good one, but I would suggest getting the bulkhead seats like we did in premium economy cuz then you'll have much more room for your legs to stretch out and you'll have a little room to stand up. Good luck with your trip. Travel is very exhausting nowadays. When we last came back from Europe it took 10 hours and I swore I would never fly more than eight. After that I give you guys credit for flying all the way to Thailand. But I'm sure the experience once you get there is going to be phenomenal!! Safe travels! great job! personally, it's criminal to charge $1400 more for premium just to get the essentially the same/similar food as economy. and for premium economy, with the seat in front of you at full recline, that would make it even more of a no-go. more than any other reason, the front seat fully reclined and crowding me into my space is the big factor for not going premium economy. at least for 7-8 hour flights. thank you!

    As you stated at the end Steve, if you want to extend your holiday $$$$, then Economy is fine. I fly from Europe to New Zealand and Australia more often than the average person. There is no way I can afford to upgrade to Premium Economy, I prefer to spend my money of the (grand)children and outings together. Though if money wasn't an issue- I'd go business class all the way. On my flights I do have the advantage of free alcohol and more than just nice food- it is always delicious. The 18 hour sit from Auckland to Schiphol is a challenge but I'm still up to it 🤣! What I want to know which is never shared in any of these videos is how much easier it is TO SLEEP in premium economy than economy. How much more comfortable are the seats and how much further back can they recline in premium as opposed to economy? Our elderly parents want to visit us from overseas and we need to know if premium economy is comfortable for sleeping which no one addresses this issue or shares their experience with the comfort of sleeping as compared to economy. Thank you!

    • @TravelwithNJSteveandSue
      @TravelwithNJSteveandSue  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello, the seats in premium economy are definitely more comfortable than economy. They're wider but they don't recline all that much. And unfortunately I would say they're still not that comfortable for sleeping. I can never sleep on a plane no matter where I'm sitting and just doze a little bit. So I wouldn't buy premium economy seats. If the goal is to get a good night's sleep for that you'd have to move up to business where the seats recline flat. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question!
