When I was young I used to study trash talk. Gary Payton was the best overall. Van Exel was the most underrated because he wasn’t really talking to the other person (he just did it to amp himself up) but the cleverest one was Jordan. He was elegant with his trash talk. He would make a fall away over someone’s outstretched hand and would make a comment like “you almost had it. Nice try.” This commercial clearly reflects that. When he says “you reach, I teach” he is both taunting his opponent and instructing him about his own, personal style. His younger self has the advantage as far as athleticism and energy, but the older Jordan clearly has the edge as far as knowledge of the game and angles. This usually holds true in most walks of life. Therefore, it’s honest. I hope that clears up my previous comments. Here’s wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

I'm from North Carolina, I went to Carolina Basketball Camp when Dean Smith was still the coach there, the line was always "The only man who could hold Jordan under 20 was Dean Smith" I'm sure Jordan could have scored many more points than he did, but learning from the Dean of College basketball also helped make him the player he was.
