I am neither a Republican, nor a Democrat. There is a lot I disagree on when it comes to these limited choices but at least it is very evident which party and candidates are less competent. Just look at this interview. Some people like Pete communicate without any hate and still manage to get their point across. This is smarter communication instead of repeating everything multiple times and using simple sentences on purpose to appeal to a broader audience. Listen to various politicians from both parties. The difference has never been so significant. I remember when both Republicans and Democrats communicated without demagogy.

My Aunt could not have children due to her first husband tossing her down the stairs when she was pregnant. She and her second husband tried for years, they loved children and donated their time to Boys and Girls clubs until they passed away. They also donated a large sum of money to those clubs. So not everyone can be a parent, but they do help to shape the next generations.
So sorry she had to endure that. My grandmother was abused too. Her husband had more subtle ways of trying to get her to miscarry. Staying in a marriage for the children or family or society is just cruel.

Well, the point (I think) is that if you don't have kids of your own, you cannot truly imagine the struggle of raising them. The inherent worry about the future we leave them is only academic for the childless. With that said, I don't think everyone who is childless is incapable of enough empathy to understand the most important aspects of it.

My Aunt could not have children due to her first husband tossing her down the stairs when she was pregnant. She and her second husband tried for years, they loved children and donated their time to Boys and Girls clubs until they passed away. They also donated a large sum of money to those clubs. So not everyone can be a parent, but they do help to shape the next generations.
So sorry she had to endure that. My grandmother was abused too. Her husband had more subtle ways of trying to get her to miscarry. Staying in a marriage for the children or family or society is just cruel.

Why do people care so much about people who don't have children? Having kids is a personal choice, not mandatory, not everyone has the desire to be a parent. Instead of going after people who don't have kids, how about going after the people who keep having kids when they can't even afford them.

Well, the point (I think) is that if you don't have kids of your own, you cannot truly imagine the struggle of raising them. The inherent worry about the future we leave them is only academic for the childless. With that said, I don't think everyone who is childless is incapable of enough empathy to understand the most important aspects of it.

People who are child free still have family and friends and people in their lives. Also I'm allergic to cats, so no cats.
